the Operation Neptune level in the game is incredibly inaccurate.

1: the 82nd didnt jump near the bunkers on the beach, they jumped to San Mer Eglies.

2: the jumped took place in the dark, not the same hour as the beach landings

I like this series but theres a few flaws the pathfinders did not use green smoke grenades to mark positions they used radio beacons. and they deployed quite a bit of pathfinders my uncle was on of them. It's a nicely done series but it has several inaccuracy's 4/5

the whole game is crap in my opinion... there are zero actual drop zones that would be safe for paratroopers.... it still feels like a lone wolf game where you just go around fucking shit up on your own... fun game, but fantasy.

The paratroopers who landed ahead of the Normandy amphibious invasion force landed at night. These are the ones who are being depicted, and they are wrongly depicted as jumping during the day. Yeah, small quibble, but still......some young and impressionable gamers rely on these products for their history lessons:)

Yes but during the normandy invasion the paratroopers jumped right after midnight not in daylight. Another error is there is no way the pathfinders wood mark a drop zone literally right behind the invasion beaches. The 82nd drop zones were near St.Mere Eglise. If anything it wood be the 101st taking out gun implacements behind the beach.

we all know that this game isn't acurate, but what would be the point of dropping into a field then slogging around for half an hour looking for enemies. Sure that's accurate you'd also need a system that could take the entire Normandy map without any glitches or problems, figure that one out. and uh yeah one thing though when Travado comes out of the tunnel the sharpnel would have killed them all and they wouldn't of had eight M18's.

Just making sure people understand the truth...I feel that if you're going to make a video game out of a subject that isn't a game, isn't solved with a reset button or a respawn option, if you're going to make something representing actual people who risked and gave thier lives, it better be done right. Playing these games it's easy to forget real people did this and we need to respect that. With that being said, its not just a video game...

Cute however the Pathfinders for the 82nd jumped in complete darkness as did the rest of the 82nd. This series is nice but highly inaccurate. Everything is shown jumping into towns which though done by accident (Ste Mere Eglise) but a DZ was generally wide open fields. Smoke grenades weren't really used for markind a DZ, the Pathfinders relied on signal panels, radio beacons, and colored lights.
