@AwesomeAssassin1000 Java is the only type of moss that does well, no matter what. It will accept any amount of light or water quality. It's like a super moss.
@daysleeperize Not really, when you have a planted tank like that, you don't really need to vacuum since whatever fish waste that goes to the bottom will be used up by the plants. So no - not a problem : - )

how do you clean a tank when is planted with live plants? can you put angel fish, molly and guppies in a planted tank? i want to get a 55 gallon fish tank but do you use the gravel vacuums to clean the bottom gravel of the tank? are live plants hard to care? any information will be appreciated. thank you.
@supersanchez1991 depends on how crazy you want to go. If you want create a well decorated aquarium, you need to buy the appropriate substrate (i use seachem flourite) and be prepared to buy some extra equipment (a CO2 infuser or liquid based alternative (i use flourish excel). You can also buy aquatic plant food. If you only plan on having a few well established plants, just stick with the plant food as an extra, and you should get on fine. Plants gain a lot of what they need from fish waste.
@supersanchez1991 to answer the question about the gravel vac, ideally you wouldnt need to, as the roots of the plants should deal with most of the visible matter, and absorb it for their nutrients. Any exposed gravel after planting should still be regularly vacuumed, taking care not to damage or disturb any nearby roots. You would also find it helpful to vacuum very close to the plant leaves, to shake off any detritus that has got caught up.
@AlienDecendants lol -- start off with simpler plants. ur in over ur head. the bottom is a plant that grows low and spreads. the moss is the stuff attached on the wood at the top. and i guarantee you that the intense light will turn all that moss brown and fill it with algae in a couple weeks. he says he's experimenting with moss meaning he's added the moss shortly before filming.
@harrygats lol, the focal point is most likely the driftwood attatched to the moss. Its in the center, and gathers your attention first. I thought it was pretty good, very simplistic
Hold on a sec.. is there something else called semen that i'm not aware about? Surely its not the obvious... and no, everyone doesn't know that, because i didn't.

@TheFigure88 I think it's where the co2 collects and is released into the water.

Java fern and moss don't require co2. But the moss does grow better with co2 and lower temp say around 25 to 26 degree celcius.

Hey guys is it ok if i have no co2 diffuser for planted tanks and is a sponge filter is good enough for Java moss and java fern tank?
