Funny how the USA military/ government will spend billions of dollars on some high-tech weapon gizmo that is never used but won't replace its forty-something years old assault rifle. If they get rid of the M16types they should get rid of the 5.56mm while they are at it. Seems like the actual trigger pullers are trying to sneak SCAR in as a replacement for the Stoner-design by bringing it in as a battle rifle first. I have issues w/ SCAR but it's a good weapon nonetheless.

It's more for a matter of opinion, i personally think the HK416 is better, the SCAR has said to be better because it is a little bit (unnoticeable) more reliable, just because it jams a little less, when really both of the weapons are pretty much unjammable, i'de say the HK-416 is better because you can fire from 600-750rpm, and the SCAR only 625rpm, but the SCAR does have the advantage of being able to fire 7.62x39mm if needed (SCAR-H)

acr all the way this is a good weapon to but the 6.8 coming from the acr is just to good of a round not to use. instead of the scar-h shooting a 7.62x51 they should have made it to shoot the 6.8. i dont really see much use in a full auto weapon shooting that big off a caliber. mostly that round is used in semi auto sniper rifles not combat assualt rifles. the only other assualt rifle i can think of off hand that shoots is the fn fal which can really only be controlled in single shot mode.

In a way because there is no "SCAR", but many variations of the basic model.

Many military weapons' facilities are trying to take to origional version, and upgrade it to make it as effective as possible.

So there ARE models of the SCAR that may be finalized, but many other variations are being forged and tested to try and find the best "fit" for the gun. So many of the models people may see today may be variations still being tested.
