hi to everyone. I've got a problem. Me and my friend wanna play L4D at the same computer, by splitting screen. We've 1 normal keyboard and normal joystick(Kontorland), not 360 controller. We tried so many variation but it doesn't work. I mean, it works but the joystick and keyboard control the same player, 1st player. And we have never activated the 2nd player. Does anyone has an idea? Thank you

Been searching on Google for JoyID can't find a download link anywhere. I just need to get my controller to switch to player 2 otherwise my config is ok for my controller after messing around with the axes.

i have a logitech dual action gamepad and only want to use 1 controller (of course no splitscreen) and for l4d2. i am totally clueless on setting up my controller.. any help would be appreciated :) thank you!!

@redcermie Sorry, I have no l4d2 myself. But basicly, you could try to configure your 360controller.cfg (ONLY if l4d2 has it, I don't know) and then just go and play and type the "exec 360controller" to console. Atleast for l4d it's simple as that.

Id2 XBOX 360 for windows etc

I read in a forum that we can change the player "number" by using L4D console, but I don't know how.

After doing everything you said, my controller is still set on player 1. To do these operations, I used an 360controller.cfg made for a 360 controller.

Maybe it only works with other controllers than the 360, but i doubt of it.

Unfortunately, nobdy could help me in french forums (country where I'm from).

Hey you probly dont have time to make cfgs for everyone but i was wondering if u can make me one. I need a cfg that s has player with keyboard/mouse and player 2 I want it to be an xbox1 control

i am also getting a controller from logitech that is meant for ps3, but works with ps3. cordless precision its called. if you can help me find a config for that or any tips how t set it up would be appreciated.

And also.. if anybody wants to go to play online with split screen use command:

ss_connect (in game) and it connects player 2 to server where you are.

cmd2 jointeam 2(survivors) or 3(infected)

Okaaay... After 3 days I finally got my controller to fully work (shoot jump etc Just had to search for a proper CFG) but I've got one big little problem.

PPJoy wont install on my computer and I read it might be because my OS is Vista x64.

I'm just desperate.. Does anyone know any other program that does the same thign as PPJoy?

Sorry I think no. But this MAY work. Worth a try;

When you started singleplayer game. In beginning of the loading screen plug the controller out and when the game has almost loaded plug it back in. Somebody says this works but for me the game crashes.

or if you have 2controllers plug both in but use only the player 2controller.
