  • ARABIAN GULF,ARABIAN GULF ARABIAN GULF,ARABIAN GULFARABIAN GULF,ARABIAN GULF ARABIAN GULF,ARABIAN GULF ARABIAN GULF,ARABIAN GULFARABIAN GULF,ARABIAN GULF WETHER THEY LIKE IT OR NOT!! :)

  • she was talking about local people, which are 10 percent of the people there,, others pay like shit

  • richhh

  • I Don't agree with this woman as we have homeless people n Dubai ad electricity is not free for local

  • I happen to LOVE the Arab people. But then again, I like and love people of ALL races and backgrounds.

  • and how did I know her ass had a filipina maid hopefully she doesn't throw her off the third floor for speaking back lmfao

  • @graduate12 If I were you, I would be more worried about getting shot in the head for speaking back to anyone wherever you are. =/

  • Wow....what a spoiled, lazy-ass woman. And her grandmother looks like a moron...but remember it's o.k. because it's CULTURAL...lol. I laughed my ass off when she said she has the same struggles as most working women....SHE DOES NOTHING AROUND HER OWN HOME!!!...lol.

  • I wish she would have just come out and say what pays for her families, electricity, water, healthcare, and no income tax... OIL! The UAE's oil exports pays for all of that and the royals of the country are building these world class cities to become major trading hubs in other goods so they can sustain themselves once the oil runs out which they already know will be happening in the not too distant future of the UAE. I doubt those services will remain free then. Your water is desalinated...

  • @hop208 which is really expensive and in the UAE's case oil intensive to filter out the salt.

  • @hop208 The fact that they are shifting their income away from oil is proof they aren't ignorant about reality. People here well aware of oil and everything about it. Then again, there are richer countries who force taxes and spend their money on anything else but their people. I don't need to name these countries because if you are in one of them, you probably know it better than I do. Still, oil will run out from everywhere "maybe" before UAE. The WHOLE world will change by then.

  • @Herere Are you from the UAE? As far as what Middle Eastern States have done with their oil wealth, the UAE has probably done the most for its people than any other. I am VERY aware of my country's lack of social services. Too busy protecting the "empire" I suppose. Still, the US and Canada culturally are like identical twins. We have a continent to draw recourses from with a relatively low population to land mass ratio. The sooner we build continental high speed rail, the easier the "change".

  • @hop208 Yea I am from the UAE. I do agree that the UAE have done the most to its people but that all depend on their presidents as the late Sheikh Zayed believed that his duty as leader was to help people the best he can. Unlike most of other presidents in the middle east who just abused their position which is why people went against them now. I do believe US can do A LOT for their people more than the UAE. Sadly, they aren't in control of the right hands yet. =x

  • So, everyone in Dubai has a medical degree, a huge house, a maid, a chef and doesn't have to do anything except go to work.

  • @cybersphere yup and Kuwaits, Qatar, saudi arabian and bahranian BASICLLY the RICH gulfian arabs i.e me :D

  • @cybersphere from what i heard it pretty much is for the nationals of the country. they really take care of the people that want to do something in their lives.

  • this life you see on the video is normal for the people who actually completed their "free education", it is not for rich people, it is for people who put some effort in their lives. so many local people who doesn't complete their education at universities so they wont get a good job with a high pay. it also depends on the city they are in but can always move to Abu Dhabi and Dubai to get better pay, just continue your "free" high education =/ don't rush to work, get bachelor or HD at least

  • UAE like in many Gulf countries in the region offer free health care system to all its citizens, very low employment and GDP one of the highest in the world

  • Why doesnt mention that fact that UAE allows passports to be taken off foreign workers, jails people for kissing, jails people for having debt? Why doestn she see how construction workers are treated, like slaves? Kept 15 to a room or more, with blocked toilets, no money, no pay, no passport and no rights. Often the commit suicide to escape the paradise that oprah is showing. These workers wont be shopping at Gucci unfortunately because they arent paid for their work.

  • @creativebollocks in every country there are rules, those people who have been jailed for a very short time and sent back to their countries haven't respected the country's rules. kissing in public isn't allowed by the rules so if they weren't treated unfairly, they just broke a clear rule. we don't run around showing mature level of affection in public out of respect to others and to the kids, you can always "get a room". ppl do get paid

  • @creativebollocks workers do get paid, they get enough rooms not 15 in one room.. those construction workers you talk about are homeless people in their country who would never ever get hired in your country and would never get any better pay than here, they even get a health care in their stay even though they are foreign ppl while in your country your own ppl starve to death on the streets..that's why they come to work here by their own choice, they would never be past airport at your country

  • @creativebollocks simply put.. those construction workers prefer to be here than killed on sight at your country, because they would be some how, magically related to osama, and then they will have no rights and even tortured. they are treated here better than anywhere in the world, get your facts straight.

  • @Herere i'm not religious but i have to say "amen" to your comment lol

  • HOW MUCH IS OPRAH PAID TO PUT OUT THIS PROPAGANDA????

  • @dananasereddin everybody can speak english its really easy XD but arabic is harder hehe i know english more than arabic

  • Oprah should have talked about the important stuff and not this bullshit , she should have talked about how every little fucking thing is considered haram , how people get jailed for drinking alcohol , showing affection in public , how gays get killed , i have been to dubai , the locals dont have it easy , especially the women in islamic barbaric tottalitarian arab emirates

  • @MrIhateislam100 then all you are saying is that arabs have more morality than us in the west, right? two people of the same gender can get married and kiss in the street whilst being intoxicated and unemployed during mid-day in the States, yet there would be massive outcry if a hard-working man that could afford it, to marry two woman and raise his family. think about it. what message does that give to the next generation?

  • I LIVED IN DUBAI ALL MY LIFE ,4 GOD SAKE AM BORN HERE AND WHAT ?NOTHING ,PLEASE OPRAH COME TO DUBAI AND I WILL SHOW U LIFE IN HERE,AM NOT SAYING WE R NOT LUCKY BUT NON LOCALS R SUFFERING,AND BY THE WAY ARABS AND MUSLIMS DONT HAVE A HOMELESS PEOPLE COZ WE R OBLIGATED TO GIVE BY OUR RELIGION.ENY HOW THIS SHOW WAS FAKE

  • @emanblacky what u are sayin is correct. in arabic countries and parts of eastern europe and some parts of africa homelessness doesnt exist but just wait another 20 - 30 years when neo-liberalism has taken over the world. sadly it will become as fucked as it is here

  • to many lies in this video :(

  • @cappermeh such as? enlighten me please.

  • That food looked good that the Arabs where eating lol I want some..

  • fuckn iranian bitch

this bitch is originaly from iran not a pure uae

  • @alosaimi1111 If she's from iran then so what, but she's not so don't be stupid.

  • Oprah forgot to mention that Dubai was built by slave labor lured from poor countries, stuffed in filthy dormitories made with steel containers and their passports were taken so they could not escape. Do your research and you will see that it was built on the bones of slaves

  • cultural thing??? WTF is wrong with her??

  • NOT all people in dubai are rich!! in fact, the majority of people there are normal people who work every day for food!

I hate this steretype! being in USA, i faced so many people saying that Arabs are rich! thaaats wrong guys!! maybe the goverment, the leadership and some businessmen are rich!! but people like us, beleive me, are poorer than wt u think!

  • guys why dontcha understand

it's not persian gulf, and it won't be, it's arabian gulf

  • What about slaves eh servants, servants who cant leave. Also why Oprah has no problem with this she is not asking though questions at all.

  • @miiiikku

If they have such a nice environment to work, why would they want to leave? And no taxes to pay? You will not find such a thing everywhere.

  • @miiiikku they r the ones who come cuz they need it and dont call them slaves plz we prefer servants and they we pay them good money every month but some families does abuse them with work but in our house we have 4 servants and a driver and we try to not make them become tired we pay them alot bout 150$? im soz i cant convert to US dollar

  • haha in saudi arabia we dont pay taxes ! when i came to the us i went to starbucks and i got a coffee and i paid for it and when i saw the casher he was like um thats not it .. and i was like ya and hes like no plus tax ... woops how do u live with taxes !

  • ASK THE "HARD WORKING" CLASS SHE WAS TAKING ABOUT AND HOW WE "STRUGLE" TO LIVE MUCH MORE LESS THAN THIS.

UAE IS A NICE PLACE TO LIVE IN "BUT" SOOOOOOOOOOO EXPENSIVE AND EXPATS HERE DOES NOT GET WHAT A LOCAL GET ... SO ITS HARD TO SAY THAT ITS AN EASY LIFE ALTHOUGH ITS A "FREE TAX" COUNTRY.

  • this women is crazy...fist..of she is lost..and the abaya..is islamic thing not traditional...so not average people..however the arabs are rich in that country i heard.

  • part 3 lames DOES NOT REPRESENT THE UAE and if you were looking for the pure UAE you could look for people who are from the big families or tribes just look at their last name and you'll know that they are purly emirates for example some names of tribes: AL Mansoori AL Mazroui AL Zaabi AL Rumaithi AL ketbi AL Kaabi AL Flahi AL Flasi AL Dahri AL Muhairi AL Suwaidi ........ ect
  • @tstadsnake there is nothing called "purely" emarati, since most of them as u have mentioned are tribes, and if u r local, u should know that :) and most tribes are known to be bedwin, who move from place to place. Most the tribes originate from Saudi, Oman, Yemen etc.

  • part 2

the people who are purly from UAE would talk diffrent than that

i have a question for those who have come to UAE to get the passports who are from the other arab countries and iran

if the oil run's out would you stay in the UAE or throw away the UAE passport and look for another country to live in ?

she said that if the other country gave her salery more than what she gets she would go and work over there

this is an evidence that shes not a pure emarati

  • part 1

lamis is not a emirati citizen

even her husband and their families

these people are from another countries and they have been given theemirates passports its but they are not pure emiraties

emirates is a country that have been built by tribes and large families in the centuries and after the oil have been found people from the arab and iranian countries have imigrated to emirates to get the money and live like the tribes

  • @tstadsnake technically, she is an emirati citizen since she is holding UAE passport lol. Originally, she may not be khaleeji, but nonetheless, she is an arab and she was chosen to represent UAE. I do not agree with her, as I have mentioned earlier.

  • lamis is not a emirati citizen

even her husband and their families

these people are from another countries and they have been given theemirates passports its but they are not pure emiraties

emirates is a country that have been built by tribes and large families in the centuries and after the oil have been found people from the arab and iranian countries have imigrated to emirates to get the money and live like the tribes

  • امحق ريل مخلي حرمته على هواها

    مالت على ريلها

ما يمثل الامارات ولا هي تمثل

    هالاشكال تمثل حثالة العالم

  • lier oprah, why dont you say that about other countries other than kuwait and dubai which are my homes! ok amarica helped us and protect us but oprah did not to anything except make us look like idiots and thats really its not fair. try saying that about america

  • she said headscarf is culture...she knows nothing well it is culture but it comes from the islam religion.

  • Kuwait is the pearl of the arabian gulf just to let you all know!!!

  • @chrenkek lol im from Qatar but i rely think tht dubai is the "pearl of the arabian gulf" cuz its the most successfull countries ever but if u wish to suggest tht then its kk but the UAE in my point of view is the best then down to qatar cuz it have done very well in the past few months then down to kuwait then KSA then oman then bahrain just to let u kno

  • is that what the accent is like over there?

  • للأسف أن هذه الصورة غير صحيحة عن الصبغة الإسلامية لدولة الإمارات

  • Leave Lamees Alone

  • is this person a muslim??? is that why she didnt bring up the fact we have to pay for zakat instead of taxes!!!

    just sayin

  • @arabzino are you emarati

  • @yunaas101 no man, but i haverelatives livin there why?

  • every place there are por people

i heared oprah saying persain gulf that is before centeary we all are arabs now who live in this gulf it is ours so it is arabic gulf funny thing i laugh when i hear some persains says it is persain gulf

  • i liked the part when he said" it's my shirt, it's my bussiness suit and it's my tuxedo"

  • very beautiful arab lady

  • thanks for posting this.

  • What about the migrant workers in Dubai? Do they receive healthcare? Why are their passports taken from them? How much is there wage? Can they quit there jobs and find another? Will the government support them if they can't? BS and oddly enough they makeup most of the population. How could you be "happy" with the abuse these people receive? Why are they killing themselves in masses? Dubai is an illusion. I wonder what would happen if Dr. Lamis divorces her husband?

  • Comment removed

  • i can't believe she just said the abaya and shailah is cultural. how is it cultural to cover your head. astagfirallah. covering your head is not culture. it's Islam.

  • @rania3830 tell them and i remmeber in 2001 after sept 11 queen rania of jordan said the hijab is not islam

i dont know why arabs are pleasing the westerners

  • oprah, its not free but it goes with the rent, all in a package, god you should know how much would it cost for a villa here in dubai, this days its 30% lesser now, but before its sky rocketed...

  • btw its rare to have poor locals but still they do exist

consedring the whole population she is right about what she said

  • @EmiratiUAE i dont think there are poor locals unless they are lazy and dont work and alcoholic

  • what did u say

wearing 3abaya and shelah is a cultural thing!!!

    very weird

it seems that u know that its relegious not cultural but still do and say the wrong thing

  • ha ha ha

    this "lamis" is emirati ha

    looool

    liers

  • 2:46 LOL it looks like she's got a mustache xD

  • its a so beatifull country and houses and the woman. damn.

  • dont you ever talk about UAE like that DR.Lamis you should cover your face with shela or borka because your face is coverd with shame.

  • She's so fake! shame on u lamis

  • Comment removed

  • I think she is not talking about Hijab.. she is talking about the traditional dress and shela and/or "borka"

  • i wanna see the whole show!!!

  • shame on you Dr

  • uahahahahahah eating sand wich most sand rather than wich

  • hejaab is a cultural thing? how shame Dr. Lamis, I am Emirati and you have abashed us. Hejaab is a religious fact to cover your hair and we do pay the electricity, if you're husband pays everything then lucky you. But don't you ever talk about the UAE

  • @Mohdmajid88 i heard alot of people say they dont pay electricity water and you have no utility bills at all

people who pay use much more electricity that why maybe if you use more than what is recommended than you pay

  • the show isn't show how most people in the country live. There are always the privilege and lucky ones in every country who live very well.

  • I am a moderate fan of Oprah so I don't favor her in anyway. My question is how was Oprah supposed 2 know what Dr. Lamees was going 2say and why is Oprah being criticized when all she did was invite someone from Dubai to talk about this wonderful place? I don't understand why the USA is being criticized for anything either. PLz don't show urself as ignorant-clearly the UAE has more educated people than u that r here making immature comments. Show urself in a good way as I know UAE people r good.

  • this lady is totally b.s.ing with her lies, she said that the head scarf is cultural and not religious, that is the most bissare thing i have ever heard in my life, it is totally a religious thing.

  • It is cultural.

    1. Religion is a part of your culture, so anything religious is cultural.

    2. Covering your head varies by culture, even in the Muslim world. Head scarfs in Somalia do not look like those in Afghanistan, which do not look like those in Turkey, and yet these are all Islamic countries. Why? Because of CULTURAL difference.

  • @KWalsh554 not alla arabs are muslim , i'm a jew arab

  • She said they have free health care, but then she also helps the poor pay for their medical bills? This sounds like a farce and now they are bankrupt....so much for free anything ,,

  • It was very interesting to hear about free electricity and water bills lol as i know, we get bills each month lol

and taxes, well we do have SALIK, isnt that a "hidden" tax? We can find alot more if we digg deeper.

    Im really disappointed with her.

This is a very superficial knowledge of this country, but then that's how Americans are :S

  • @UnresolvedMystery and what is the salik tax the sale tax is it

  • I wonder how she walks around. In jalabiya? lol

for local woman in general it is bizarre not to wear abaya and shayla and it is hardly because of the culture and traditions. They are other arab woman, who wear abayas and sheylas, why? If it is just a local tradition in UAE? Simple, because they are muslim and it is required by Islam.

  • mashallah! I wish all locals lived like that!

shayla is meant to be hijab, hijab is compulsory by Islam, sign of modesty and not culture, those who choose not to wear it .. well, it's their personal choice and it does not mean it is right, it is something they are meant to follow. So is wearing abaya. They really couldn't find a proper local woman, who would represent UAE? Or they chose someone, who lived in the US just to say what they wanted her to say?

  • what she portrayed in the video wasnt exactly true but to b a local & express ur comments in such a disrespectful manner towards this lady isnt representing Emiratees in a good manner either. read on history, I seen that wearing the shayla and abaya was cultural bcz it was being used in PRE-ISLAMIC times. This was due 2 weather conditions in the desert & then became a form of showing modesty once Islam became. read about ur history rather than listening 2 ideas- even our elders.

  • As locals- u should show urself in a better way by expressing urself in a respectful manner about ur feelings towards this lady. History says that shayla/ abaya was being used in PRE-ISLAMIC times due to weather conditons. So it is cultural but was incorporating as a form of modesty once Islam came. Research b4 making such comments and let's respect others and ourselves.

I live in Dubai right now, but I've lived in in Denmark most of my life. Everything said about Denmark was true. The best place on Earth to live. What Lamees said about Dubai though couldn't be more untrue!

  • Is it just me (as I live in Dxb) or why does the first 1.45 mins not play on my works computer

  • Denmark looked like a great place to live...I wonder if anything they said about Denmark was taken out of content? mmm media talks shows... I guess its not the ONLY place to get information from - Dah!

  • Actually she didnt lie, that is how the citizens of the UAE live (15 % of the population) not the temporary immigrants ,they dont pay for utility , they dont pay for university or any other bill , and yes there in Dubai , most of the local women wear the headscarf for cultural reasons rather than religious ones (some dont wear it at all) , that is why you see most of them wearing headscarfs that are so transparent , and abbya's that are crazy tight

  • What a bullshit. Even of the local population only very few live like this. And NOTHING is free in Dubai and there are TAXES. What a pinkish way of reality...

  • She looks like she's struggling!! Central kitchen...........wow!! free utilities.........why did she say that????

  • A segment in a talk show...and it invited a lot of questions. You know what this should be a good thing that woman like her try to open her window. How will the world understand her life if she wont give her opinion.

  • now how about showing how the 90 percent of us live? or better yet, how the working class immigrants live?

..but i guess that isn't glitzy enough for Oprah.

  • wearing abaya and head cover is a mandatory and it's not cultural feature, it's one of the Islamic due to any muslim woman! so stop saying it's cultural and yes, you've wrongly made the choice of not wearing it!

  • "the government really helps us a lot"

Umm.... when you say "we" you mean Emirati arabs who make up 10% of the population

  • Well said women =) Ya Salama

  • I think shes a elegant lady and so will spoken will done dr lamiees Arab women should be proud of you, pay no attention to all the negative comments its all ego and envious because they didnt get to be on opera ;)

  • Elegant lady!??!! this has nothing to do with elegance, she went on tv as an ambassador for Emirati women and made us look like spoilt clowns! she showed the world a,"hob" in her kitchen for Gods sake!!! and said it wasn't used!! i don't know about you!!!!! but 95% of local women cook and clean and look after their children like the rest of the world!!! we don't have a.."central kitchen" outside our door! envious!!.. honey i made my country proud on good morning america!!!

  • WHY do people portray Arabs from Gulf countries as spoiled rich brats?

and the american media always choose some rich people from the gulf to describe thier culture ?

I know alot of people from the Emarites and from Arabia and Qatar and Kewait who are working class people hard workers and who are not spoiled.

and by the way iam PALESTINIAN NOT FROM THE GULF

  • Well to be fair, at 4:19, the lady does admit that not everyone is rich and the UAE govt. tries to care for the poor.

  • @mahbool82 well they are rich i know saudi you find alot of poor people but i dont thing you will find poor in emirates kuwiat qatar they are very wealthy

  • @mahbool82 listen you are wrong all emirates are givin land almost 70k per family free health education and they work so they are rich

  • @yunaas101 I meant my brother that they are not spoiled people who just spend money ,alot are well educated and smart.

  • @mahbool82 actually it's * Kuwait * buddy :)

  • sumhow, shes right!

we pay for electricity but we dont for water!

Girls wear sheila and abaya but they dont even cover a thing, i mean common! half of their hair is uncovered and sumtimes all of it, the abaya designed like its a dress or sumthin! not all the girls but i think 60% of them are like that!

  • might be true, but esseter zain .. mistakes shouldn't be shown to the world as if we were proud of that!

I won't deny that she speaks well and had some pretty good point, but it's not how I would've wanted to be represented .. you know!

  • nice.... she really fucked us local women!!!! stupid.. ignorant cow!!! useless waste of space!!!! we don't live like her! her style of living is NOT how we live... the Abaya and sheila are Islamic attire!!! sheeeesh!!!!! who picked her for Gods sake!!!! and where did she hire that old woman from??? thats not her grandma.. no respectable local woman would want to be associated with her!!!! i hope she s proud of her stupidity making us look stupid too!!!

  • well said!

  • your right dude

  • @deely66 wow if you hate it so much don't watch it and then comment!

  • @deely66

Americans love to see success, and she didn't make anyone look bad, so relax. The older woman is her mother-in-law, not her grandmother. I think that this was a very nice family protrait. Not everyone lives like this, but Dubai has been blessed with a generous government that shares the wealth of the nation with her citizens. What is wrong with a culture that takes care of its old, its sick, and its unemployed? Those are all positive points of Arab culture, it seems to me.

  • @deely66

  • We do pay electricity and water...its freaking called DEWA!!!! Who is this infamous doctor and why the hell is she speaking non sense???

  • ok that's enough!! not all of that was TRUE!! when it comes to paying taxes yeah it's free BUT NOT 4 THE FOREIGNERS!!! mis\DR whatever who u r Lameessss.......& specially when u talk about DUBAI!!! oh man!!! it's not like the capital A.D u know what i mean

  • LOL the goverment wont help ppl in dubai unless ur local and if ur a foreigner by the age of 60 u have to leave to country , FREE WATER ????!?!!! FREE ELECTRICTY ?!!?!?! BULL SHIT

  • oh they are so lucky ... in saudi arabia nothing is FREE .... we have a lot of fucking oil & still there are poor people here .

  • dude that woman is lying free water ? free electricity ? not true man its only for the locals

  • if she is emiraty, she will wear at least shila and abay that she show other people she is really respect her tradition and her country and religion ... but she don't know anythings... I think she is not nativley emarity...

  • Comment removed

  • loooooool this women is unbelievable. she is just telling Oprah how the local people are living in Dubai. 1 million people who are locals are 100% taken care of by the UAE government...the rest which are 5 million foreigners in UAE are....................................................u tell me

  • TRUE

  • " 1 million people who are locals are 100% taken care of by the UAE government " thats not true !!

  • lol

    omg what a pretentious!

we do pay our bills and everything is not free here! like sandprof said, she probably got the passport by marrying a local. Half what she said is not true, not about the UAE nor about Islam! since when did covering yourself became an option, it's not something the governmont forces you to do but as a muslim and a person who believes in god, you must do it!

What a shame being represented by someone who knows nothing ..

    but yeah dubai rocks :P

  • that's true it's a big shame , we as locals pay for our electricity !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • whatever that woman said about wearing the shiela is NOT TRUE! :@

  • wat ever she said is not true

  • WTF!!! mostly untrue we pay FOR THE BILL !! and yes we don't have taxes but most what she said was not true!

  • Mmm, a slightly one sided Dubai view. No electricity and water bills, free health care?!!! If you are a local yes but not for anyone else!

  • That's the point isn't it oliverroskill, what benefits the locals of each country get.

  • mostly untrue/americanised view of 'family life'

  • A lot of what she says is true for some but it is a shame that she is not a "real" local. She is a Syrain that probo married a local - look at her, look at her kids. Also she is very seppo-ised - most locals would not say "hi marm". I guess they chose her to make 'all arabs seem just like we are in the US"

  • yep this is pretty much dubai !!

everybody has money and everyone has a great job !! damn !! i'v been there !! i'v seen it !

  • Everybody in this contry does NOT have money, despite what the governent is trying to portray, Dubai is full of people with next to no money. not everyone has a good job either, most people hate their jobs, very few have any security of them and none have rights within them. So don't go giving in to the whole press release that we arent being effected by the ressesion, cause we are and even before that, everything is not as shiney as it first appears.

  • yeah i know !! i was exaggerating !!

i have a lot of friends there !!

  • She didnt give the "true" image of "local lady" in UAE,and obviously she is not "local" probably she is from seria marrying local

yet she doent have the right to say that shela and abaya are traditions only thats soooo not true!!

its sad that non-local presented different/untrue idea about the "real emirati lady"

and its stupid bcoz WE PAY ELECTRICITY BILL in UAE!!

and not all people have chef and chaufer for GOD SAKE!

anyway sounded more adv "dubai more than "presenting emirati woman"

  • shaila and abaya is part of the culture ..

  • yes but its "NOT ONLY CULTURE"

it reflect s culture, tradtions and religion!

she made it sound like only old women would wear it which is TOTALLY WRONG

anyway she chose not to wear it

but not covering is againt religious believe

and walking around without shela is totally bizarre for local ladies

    thats it :)

  • you need to watch the video one more time and pay more attention to what she said exactly... and evn if shes syrian or what ever i think she reflected a real image of dubai and the locals,,, " änd its stupid bcoz WE PAY ELECTRICITY BILL in UAE! " and " nd its stupid bcoz WE PAY ELECTRICITY BILL in UAE!!" i thnk you need to slow down coz that exactly what she was trying to say or infact said :)

  • no she didnt.

i dont know if u r local or not to "understand my view here as local lady here

how can someone who is not really local reflect local? even if she is married to one.

its not im being against arab-local marriage or somethin but sounds so wrong to act as "someone u r not!"

anyway the least least thing she should have is wear abaya and sheila as a respect to country tradition/culture and religion

n i didnt like the way she described her mother in law looked rude to me.
