One of the best that SBC/TCS/Mediacorp has every produced! Coz a lot of "heart" went into this production. Fight sequence was great too! (As compared to the mordern productions...sigh...I don't even bother watching any more).
Anyone knows when this show will be repeated again? Can we start a petition to request mediacorp to produce good, quality dvd series? This is worth producing.
Yeah. I have a friend who worked in SBC before. He said in the 80's there many hongkong directors and producers working behind the scene but all left already due to too much creative limitation in singapore laws.
i agree with you. look at those actors and actress, still the same few nowadays. but their acting really cannot compare to what they used to be last time. i believe its because of the exodus of honkie director & asst directors. saw those asst director shooting some scene for local drama at the old clifford pier before. 20+ young punk, look like butch to me. take a lot of time to shoot a few scene and never interact with the actor and actress at all!
sorry i mean saw those new asst directors before at clifford pier. not the good old honkie asst director. she didnt even tell the actors what to do or what she want. just keep on retake the same thing over and over again. the actors just keep on repeating the samething over and over again.
What i amazed and love this show. This show behave well choreographed fight scene, grand scenes and war scene. Amazing and memorable for a singapore project!!!

What a pity that the drama mediacorp produces isn't as exciting as it used to be. Hope they will improve and produce more ancient drama. The modern drama are a bit too much nowadays, they should balance a bit. Anyway, this is a great show. Thanks.
the opening look more exciting than many mediacorp shows produced over the last 5 years. yes, we probably laugh at the show if watch it again. this was of the few SBC period drama that I remember watching
I think we will most probably laugh at the drama produced now. The plot is so dry and the production so commercial. The past dramas looked more sincerely produced and less "kao pei". It seems like now the actress that "kao pei" the most will win the star award!!!
