Look up 'venom' on google images, you'll see that the symbiote in the images from early comic books he appeared in have a dark blue-ish tint. In Ultimate Spiderman, his symbiote has a purplish tint. The pure black venom is somewhat of a new development.

@zignoth I selected all the frames, made a new symbol, pasted the frames into the symbol, then motion tweened. Flash doesnt allow you to make an empty symbol, so normally i'll draw a line, convert that to a symbol, paste the frames, then delete the lines.
