i hate to sound like a dick or whatever but you dont have to break in a 4 stroke in only really have to go it to 2 strokes and your doing is sucking the vales up in to the head and over heating it the new 4 strokes are ment JUST for racing sure their fun in the woods and what not but it like reuseing a condom it just doesin't work very well.

these new bike dont need breaking in the cylinder walls are nickel but it is recommended to ride at half revs for 1hr b4 giving it more throttle

If i was you, i would have sent your rm125 motor to eric gorr, and have him put a 144cc kit in it. then your rm125 with that 144cc kit, would rev higher then the stock rm125 motor, be faster, have around 40hp, it would also have more torque then your rmz250. it would be faster out of the turns then your rmz and be faster overall.

@JuniorPros118 idk man.. im not a big fan off the 144 kits.. id rther just go buy a ktm 150 if i wanted 125ish 2 stroke... plus that rm would never come close tho my rmzs breaking or how it handels and out of the turns it would be close call

Pretty similar to what you do think the important thing is going through all the gears and tryin to keep it under half throttle... nice and warm then dump oil new filter ready to rock. Everyone will tell you something different but your process definitly makes sense.

Question : how did your tires look after the break-in? Wondering how fast cement will wear the tires when im at the lake..

@chvick well see alot of the mx bikes come from factory with realy soft tires so they get better hookup on rviews but it did ware donw to ware you could see a diffrence... now it you had an after market tire like a hard comp or medd you would be fine

Cool vid.. already took mine out for break-in... the book says 2hr break-in probably would agree its a bit long. I rode on a dirt road and field for about 1hr total including all the idle time. Everyone says different things about break in. First 30 mins i was just kinda going through the gears nice and easy maybe about 1/4 throttle. Next 30 was about half throttle still rolling on gears making sure to click through all the gears... Let it cool between, now oil change and new filter
