  • truely life changing. Perfect in every sense of the word.

  • REPLAY!

  • i like this song. eat melons and jam to the positive messages of akala.

    /watch?v=Z_aHfqSudWw < the only trick i know

  • We are, our worst enemy...

  • heavy

  • /watch?v=EhrYQrLBiTQ

  • You know your hearing something on another level when your on your natural occupied mind, but then have to stop just to take this all in. Akala is a genius.

  • FUCKING BEST RAP ARTIST EVER!!!!

  • @abcaston

Really?.. well im not a computer so that i could just "reset" my thoughts, and i dont believe in opressionistic thoughts, like the ones your trying to push on me. i am my own person and am free to express what ever opinions i like,

but lets be honest, the fact 3 people understand the point im putting across, just shows that im not alone in my opinion of devlin, granted, the songs he put out were good, but hes just unheard of these days. fact

    here today gone tomorrow

    s

  • awesome song kinda wish it was more famous ; and akala!

  • one of the best rap songs ever, without a doubt!

  • 5 dislikes? idiots.

  • best tune on the web

  • I hit the like and fave button after about 15 seconds.

  • @Danza3443 i liked and favourite it before i even clicked on the video

  • 5 people are partially deaf....

  • this is real music(:

  • i respect how his lyrics actually have substance and depth <3

  • This dudes a real poet with substance and originality. Bless to him and other true writers like Roots Manuva, Lowkey, Jehst, Scroobius Pip, Ghostpoet, AllFlaws

  • @wonnatryit remember devlin too

  • @danielward9

devlin was just another clown, here today gone tomorrow..

  • @wonnatryit also lowkey

  • going to a workshop with him tonight!!! sooo pumped :D

  • This should be in the charts.

  • holy shit, only just heard this. Changed my views on rap music. I used to hate on rap like this, and only listen to metal. This is amazing. Actually fucking amazing.

  • @TheMIlkybarkid01 Same here man.. I'm a huge fan of Brutal Death Metal and Thrash Metal yet I listen to this almost everyday. It's all about opening your mind into the best of a spacific genre, you just have to make the effort to find the best of it.

  • theres somthing about a rapper flowing over a live beat from a band that adds more realism to their words. kristoff krane, atmosphere and eyedea all did it as well. and its a shame that now days to be big you have to have a club beat and catchy chorus. i guess akala and a few others are just too clever for the masses

akala is an all time great

  • "If a man bothers you, ask him to stop, if he does not, destroy him.... but find no enemies" - Laszlo

  • pure bliss

  • Real shit - fuck the mainstream <3

  • Please don't start arguing about who is better... Please...

Both Lowkey and Akala are outstanding.

Don't start a childish war. This is one of the few videos on Youtube that doesn't have that shit in the comments.

  • @bigfort123 Well said.

  • watch the arrivals!

  • ''You can keep the charts, all I want is your heart'' - Damn real shit,

  • He makes me wonder why I ever listen to anyone else ..

  • He's like Lowkey so I love him. Another true artist from the UK.

  • @shadows987987 Lowkeys like him more like

  • @silkysketcha

How so they have different styles.

  • @shadows987987 I dont really listen to lowkey so cant comment much but if you say akalas like lowkey id have to disagree because akalas been doing it longer so lowkey was probably influenced buy him.

  • @silkysketcha

What I meant is that they both potray messgaes, but the messages they potray can be quite different. Though they are the same sometimes.

  • @shadows987987 I agree

  • gr8 guy. he knows what's right.

  • Akala is easily the most talented, and more importantly; genuine, lyricist in the UK hip hop scene, in fact in all uk rap music to be honest. Keep up the good work!

  • so good, love how its long, i hate finding a great song that ends before you know it

  • I relate to this song tooo much. Fucking love it

  • akala man you are on another level, i appreshiate and respect your point of veiw one thing i do not understand... if there is soo many by the million who believe exactly the same as you, i, lowkey, ect, then why dont we protest by the million and make a stand if enough people get together in one place then other people will follow because it only takes a small crowd to change somthing so a big crowd can change everything!

  • @aqqz92 4real? i don't care what you think...we are talking about rap, take your beef with nas somewhere else, he don't even know you, and you don't even know him personally.

  • @thebig321 he's released 3 to date - It's Not A Rumour, Freedom Lasso & DoubleThink :)

  • When I mentioned war though. I meant a systemic, sustained attack on all humankind.... Not that sorta "ohhh im at war man, gotta hustle for dough"

  • @uklmllml

It already is a war :) Has been a war since before our generation or the three before. War for survival everyday. Im white, and still the way we allow ourselves to be divided and conquered amazes me. Do we never learn? I have love and time for anyone real...

  • 60,000 views.Thats terrible. It just shows what has happened to good music nowdays. It's all gone underground. Brillaint song, deserves to be more known.

  • True genius. spread true hip hop.

  • @revlover saw ur comment on akala track check out my facebook page for real hip hop is underground now

  • sic man one love

  • @PackeymanJAJA Yeah, this song is from the CD DoubleThink, and the hole CD is pretty damn fine too.

  • @RaphinhaB safe! gona get that right now

  • @RaphinhaB Can I find it on iTunes? if not, where?

  • @ukmlmmlm It already is a war for survival, just ask those busting out on the streets in the inner city ghettos, or the people in asia and africa who barely have enough to eat or drink and in most cases don't.

Though Akala is real talk, respect.

  • such a gd tune. tru meaning. real

  • wise wise words i feel this song so much keep doin ya thing Akala

  • check my videos out im a uk artist, tryna keep music original but at the same time a good sound to the ear. Hope u enjoy "its the kingpin"

  • Thank you for sharing this song.. I feel a lot like the lyrics.. but now I feel a bit better I am not alone..

Can I get some crazy guitar solos on this track ?

  • swear this is a copy of:

    'WE WANT EQUALITY'???

  • @ajaycg not a copy, they used this song on the video.

  • @abcaston U r so true, ~Akala has to get world fame.. if people are to listen and change :( Beautiful song by da way

  • chocking off blowbacks aha what a guy

    1.lowkey

    2.akala

noone else falls into this league

  • @longy206 only other person i can think of that falls in that catiagory of greatness is Imortal technique

  • @longy206 K Koke comes close but i agree, lowkey n akala is top of UK no doubting

  • 3 people are racist :P

  • this shit has so much meaning and is so powerful

  • Regardless of race, nationality, age or gender, Akala is one of the best all round emcee's I've ever heard in my life. Ever.

  • looking forward to the video of this which is meant to be out on friday

  • then the flow, then lyrics... You can have the gr8st lyrics in the worrrrrld, but still never get your point across if you cant grab as much attention, and unfortunately ( in his case ) ppl love ppl who can flow.

  • @JayBee360 i know alot of people see it in the same way as you but the lyrics are pretty much the only thing i really listen to in music, i sort of know what you mean about if someone has the greatest lyrics but no good flow and no good beat it can make it worse but in my opinion i couldnt listen to a song with the best beat ever, the best flow ever, but pointless lyrics

  • Good beat isnt enough. And as far as perfect.. Eh i believe hes far from it man, i have yet to hear a "perfect rapper" not sayinG that he isnt good, but def. Not perfect. But flow, i mean you dont always need it, but who are we kidding man, i bet his #s for views would reach a mill if his flow was cold, cause not only could he spit nice but he could also send a gr8 message, i for one deffinately dont look beyond the lyrics, so lets not get that twisted, 1st i hear the beat, get the emotion, the

  • @L00peey i see what your saying but the thing is, i dont listen to half of them famous rappers for that reaso., no message. flows killer but i like hearing both but not if your gonna use it to dumb down the world, ya see it sounds like we look at music alot alike but not eye to eye. But its not just beyond the beat, because with no beat; its just a message trying to be heard and then your going no where, and rappers thrive off of the beat, they get the emotion from it so you cant say a good bea

  • Best song ever.

  • cant wait for the video, what a song

  • they can keep the charts

  • Anyone who looks at the world in disgust thinking "Where's the equality?" look up /watch?v=4Z9WVZddH9w&feature=channel_video_title The language used is pretty difficult but if you pay close attention, they go through a large amount of detail with the problems and the solutions. 2 hours 40 minutes... Might have to watch in split up parts... But it's all relative.

  • He has a great message, unique style, and a sense of humanity; which is hard to come across now'a days, but personally, i feel if he could master his flow, then, i'd put em on my ipod.

  • @JayBee360 yeah but you see thats the thing, he is perfect but you dont realise. a great flow or beat is just a distraction between sounding good and listening to the lyrics, think.. his flow is kinda simple, but simple means its easy to pick out what he says so u listen alot more, it doesent sound so good like those nice beat good sounding songs with poor lyrics because he dont want you to get distracted from what he is saying. which is very easy to do on a gucci mane or some other hip hop song

  • akala is the reason my whole style of hip-hop I like changed, cant wait for Globalfaction realises the video in making for this

  • @NMaalo We must understand, that some people are not only blind to the truth - but afraid of it too. Truth hurts. Look at Akala's 1st verse here:

"So I must keep lying about the history of Afrika/So I can live with the massacres" etc.

Some people, due to the intense cognitive dissonance they struggle with every waking second of their life, need to deny or run from things that point out the flaws of their world view.

Akala, like the greatest artists, affects the way some people think.

    Peace.

  • @BrotherChimaobi i respect ur statement alot

  • Spread this mans words....and spread yours we are the human connection let us not sever us from ourselves

  • thumbs up if u got into akala because of lowkey

  • @alisharifi3 Other way round for me lad

  • @alisharifi3 akala been around since 2000

  • great

  • /watch?v=PRu2BZMld8s

  • love this

  • check out my channel

uk hip hop vs the nwo

    big up UK all day

  • The reason people don't listen to REAL music is because not all people know English, so they can't understand it. Thats why house, techno dnb, dubstep are so famous. Akala is GENIOUS.

  • @TruthVEVO So your saying istrumental music exists because ppl don't know english? dnb dubstep trance techno is rave music a mix of music and euphoria no need for lyrics in such a combination. Unlike in hip hop were the words are equal to the beat if not more important.

  • dont know how this could be any better... i just wish his other songs had better bacn=king tracks :/ but hes stil one of the most inspirational people EVER

  • this is an absolute champiion tune :)

  • emotional. pure truth

  • i couldnt write like this if i had a lifetime

  • @DUBciinema

And he doesn't even write his lyrics, its all mental.

  • @StigsApprentice1 pretty sure he would be writin them down somewhere...

  • @StigsApprentice1 unless you're tryna say he got a ghostwriter, which I really really doubt alot.

  • @2KMercury

No I mean he claims that he writes songs in his mind a la Jay Z, Biggie, etc. No pen and paper

  • real hip hop

  • could you listen to my song

  • @GlobalFantasyDirect Comment on the dislikes more. You make me sick.

Excellent song, I really like the lyrics, and it's a very bitter but true message. Not overdone, just as simple as it needs to be.

  • @ElementWrath bit rude, if i'm honest.

  • .........legend, one of the most truthful tunes out there. akala and lowkey will be forever remembered

  • i have noticed people will listen to hip hop cds constantley but when i put an underground cd or tune on in the same room they go mental and say turn that shit off,lol im like give it a try but there is something about that kind of music that people have problems with, maybe its reality i dont know

  • REAL TALK FROM A REAL MC... this is real hip hop... this is real r&b... this is REAL MUSIC

  • Love how he spits the truth.

  • Tired of everyday filling up my car, knowing that i'm paying for the bombs in IRAQ... harddd line

  • Im so relieved and yet not surprised that there r no dislikes to this tune. A Deep, Deep tune, no1 else could have made this tune the way it is. Akala, keep spreading the truth with the talent you own.

  • Badman forward, badman pullup! Great artist, fantastic lyrics. Does anyone know which is the Akala song which mentions the Kurds killed by Saddam? (Bîji Kurdistan)

  • Comment removed

  • @moujik1905 You might be talking about voices of the voiceless, Lowkey: "This is for everyone of Saddam's Kurdish murder victims"

  • @moujik1905 there a lowkey song he dedicates to all of Saddams Kurdish murder victims

  • one of the deepest and best akala tunes

  • I pitty people who listen to tinchy and pricks like him and think they talking "real" shit. Akala' words would change there whole outlook on life but they will never even hear him.
