  • i think surely every one who watch this song will surrender their whole heart to my jesus...my sweet heavenly father please forgive all our sins..in jesus name i pray ..AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow really a sinner on watching this video wil surely confus his or her sin to lord jesus....oh my heavenly father forgive the sins of all who watxch this song and confus their sins, forgive my sins too..amen!

  • Who sings this version of the song?

  • Jeff Johnson. You Should Look Them Up They Are Amazing :)

  • I think everyone needs to take the time and look at everything God has done for each and everyone. He gave His only son to die for our sins. So we can be born clean of sins. We have the right to choose our way in life. Make sure you kno the life you choose, because HE kno what path you choose before your born.

  • The best audio-video rendition of the song that I have ever seen/watched... Oh, my dear Lord... I am very, very sorry. Oh my dear Lord!

  • I see. You mean that Jesus should also have died with his spirit. Your definition of death is, not only to die physically but also to stop to exist with the spirit. But that's not what the Bible teaches about death. To die means to lose one's body but the soul lives on (the question is under what conditions - heaven or hell). When God established death as a consequence of sin, he meant physical death, not the death of the soul.

  • Jesus was the only one who hadn't to suffer death because he had no sin. That's why God could accept his voluntary (physical) death as a ransom. Jesus was not afraid of his eternal death (he knew who he was) but of the torments of crucifiction which problably also included torments from the demonic powers. His foreknowledge did not make invalid his sacrifice.

  • Who sings this? I want this version.

  • Jeff Johnson from his album "Glorious Day".

  • No matter how many times I see "Passion of the Christ," I am reminded of the price he paid for me, and all of us...to see it placed with this beautiful song is simply so moving...it brings us back to our knees, calling out, "Holy, Holy, is the Lamb who was slain!" Thank you so much, and God bless you

  • this is a beautiful song. It was my grandpa's favorite.

Thanks for posting such a great video of Jesus's love for us.

  • beautiful video

  • I love this song no matter how it is sang it is so beautiful. Just think of what he did for us. He died for all of us he loves us. =)

  • Well he didn't die for me, and I didn't ask him to !

  • even in our ignorance he still loves us and that is why he died for us. he died so man could come to god because man can't get to god on his own.

  • According to Christians, Jesus is still very much alive, so how could he have died for us ?!

  • His death on the cross was not the end. On the third day He rose alive and stayed for 40 days on this earth; hundreds of people witnessed it. He left this earth and went to heaven until His return. If Christians say "He's alive" they don't only mean that He is really alive, but that they can also communicate with Him by reading the Bible and by prayer. To some people(mostly where they haven't access to Bibles, but not only) He appears directly, seeing, hearing and s'times speaking with Him.

  • You've just confirmed my point: he's not dead. Therefore he could not and did not die for our sins.

  • Of course he died. Cruxifiction leads to death. Blood and water came out of his body when the spear was rammed in it, they took him down from the cross and buried him in the grave, fully covered with bandages. That's death. But the miracle is that he resurrected, with the new spiritual body which also the believers will receive at their resurrection/rapture.

  • But he's not dead !

  • But he WAS dead, that's the point. Where do you have a problem?

  • It's a case of simple logic. He may have "physically" died on the cross, But he didn't actually die. Or are you a saying that Jesus is now dead? If not, then he is still alive, and didn't die, and is not dead !!

So it's a simple "con", he didn't die for our sins, because he knew all along he wouldn't actually end up dead.

  • this is amazing. it was my grandmas fav hymn and my cousin sang it at her funeral and now anytime me or my brother hears it we wind up spending the rest of the day talking and crying. he even has to leave church when it is played. this truly demonstrates what christ did for us on the cross.

  • this isnt good...

do not try and remake hyms... sing them like there supposed to... :D

  • Thank you so much for making and posting this. It's a great reminder of what Jesus did for us. I'm in love with the Jeff Johnson band and was blessed to be able to chill with them for about a week last year.

  • ok thats just beatiful...well done :) thanks for posting :)

  • I rarely like modern remakes of old hymns. This one has a touch to it though. I've heard the whole song now. When the two guys are singing 'Glory To His Name' in the middle of the song, I so wish they would've stuck to an acoustic guitar only. It would've been so much more powerful to me. I don't think that bringing in the 'heavy' rythm using the electric guitar suits this song at all. It becomes more noise than worship. This is just my personal opinion.

  • I've looked everywhere for this song and it doesn't seem that Jeff Johnson ever did sing it, quality version of the old rugged cross tho.

  • I just looked it up on iTunes to make sure. The artist is "Jeff Johnson", the album is "Glorious Day", the song title is "Old Rugged Cross"

  • ya its def jeff johnson. I heard him live do this and have the copy. awesome godly man.
