  • christ yes

  • They gut might be in construction, but not sn electrician. Too bad, he was excited.

  • you bought an invetion? Shit you must be rich by now lol

  • There was a time when ppl wanted cold beverages, they aimed the airco at it.

For heating food they packed it in aluminum foil and tucked it near the engine.

A household microwave needs about 700W. Say 720W : 12V = 60 Amps. No way a lighter socket provides that kind of juice.

  • Just purchased a Wavebox. Not impressed at all, way underpowered. Cooked a THAWED burrito for 20 MINUTES, and one end was barely warm, the other, cold. Wouldn't pop popcorn at all (as advertized). Used both the cigarette lighter and the battery as power sources, (again, per advertizement)and neither worked.

  • I was thinking of purchasing one of these for my boyfriend to put in his work ute.

I like the idea of him being able to heat up leftovers for lunch but if it doesn't heat very fast there isn't much point in getting one. Would you not recommend this item?

May I ask if you are from Australia?

  • I am not from Australia--I'm from the U.S. I was on a waiting list to receive this item for almost two years, but was sorely disappointed when I got it. As I stated in my prior post, the microwave simply did not have enough power to work. I would not recommend it at all. Also it was very difficult to get my money back, although with a lot of persistance, I finally did, Their customer service simply did not respond. The item is a great idea, if only it would work!

  • Thank you for your honest opinion :) I too think it is a great idea - seems like it just needs a little work... Ta :)

  • (Continued from last email....)

Sorry...I meant, the Pyrex method works better than using any "PLASTIC" containers, dishes or covers. Plastics are only good for storing food in cabinets or frig, but not for heating!

  • Bronx, i agree with your comments and i have to say that i've used the wet paper towel and it's a charm.

  • Hi 925,

I am glad that you did! It is safer and better. Take care!

  • (continued from last email...)

This works best using plastic dishes or plastic covers oer containers. The food heats better and evenly because the paper towel is wet, it creates a steam inside within the food. A friend gave me this tip, and its the best!

  • That is true about using plastics in microwaves, The BEST thing to do is buy the PYREX microwave dishes to heat food. But remember even using the PYREX, do not heat the food with the plastic cover. Use a paper towel like "Bounty" (1 sheet only), wet it under the faucet like a rag, squeeze out the water then open the sheet and place it on top to cover the food on the Pyrex dish or any glass dish or plate that is NOT plastic. (cont.)

  • its not necessarily the microwaves themselves, because a microwave works by creating friction between the water molecules within the food. But when you put any type of plastic container into the microwave, the plastic releases dioxins into the food, which is carcinogenic, and therefore hazardous to our health.

  • if microwaves are decreasing our health, then why are we living longer lhealthier lives with each generation?

  • because our technology makes it possible.

its true that microwaves decease your health but i think everyone should make that decision on their own. i personally dont realy care about my health^^ so i´m gonna buy such a handy "little" thing

  • ntmd8or, then why are we living longer? because of improvements in the health systems, technology and awareness of our own health. your statment is truely ignorant because it shows that you do not know what the waves do nor do you seem to care, i mean its as ignorant as me saying "if fastfoods are decreasing our health, then why are we living longer, healtheir lives with each generation? please always try to think first b4 making a comment.

  • Considering the cost of eating out every day (both monetarily and on my health), this is fantastic! I've never seen a portable microwave, and I didn't think the first one I'd come across would look like something I'd want, but I want it!

  • i thought you where going to put a lunch box in the microwave

  • i thought the same thing

  • Nice self promo. How many have you sold so far? Looks like it should be on QVC ever thought about it?
