I've not been back to Brazil for 3 years now so I'm a bit out of the loop but if you liked Revelação then you'll enjoy listening to ''Exaltasamba'' as well. Pagode has a cool sound but I spent most of my time listening to Forró. Let me know if you'd like to know about that. You HAVE to check out a group called Timbalada, I saw them live and they were amazing - have u heard of them?

Pagodes similar to Samba. Whilst the Forró I listened [and badly danced to :P ] was like upbeat, Brazilian folk music. It sounds strange but it somehow works! Lol. I was in Natal for 3 months where its very popular so it grew on me. Would love to go back for a while...Have you been to Brazil before?

My trip to Brazil was one of the best things I've ever done. I fell in love with the country, the culture, the food, and the music! Was in Sao Paulo for a week but spent 3 months in Natal. Would love to go to Bahia as well esp. to visit Salvador for Carnaval. Need to start saving though!

I wouldn't worry too much about the crime. There'll be crime wherever you go [...I live in London so trust me I know! Lol]. You just have to be careful and alert. Just message me if you'd like to know more.

My remark about crime in London was a bit tongue-in-cheek. Just meant to ease your worries a tad. In my local area, Kensal Rise, things have become much better in terms of crime over the past 10 years. Suppose it depends on what part of London you're in.

Surprised there wasn't a video of ''Virou Religiao'' already up on YouTube so I've just put one up. Its one of my favourites, although to be fair most of Revelacao's music falls into that category!

Wish I could say I'm a mestre of capoeira but I'm definitely not! I only had a couple lessons when I was out there and I've not picked it up since :(. Thinking of starting it again though. Would you recommend doing it with the cordao de ouro?

sorry for the late reply. yep, I would recommend training with cordao de ouro. I went to the lessons in london and the guy was great. I was shy and really crap but he spend a lot of time helping me and encouraging me and so on.
