EVERYTHING about the KotOR games - most of all, the soundtrack itself - composes it and alters the feeling of the game. I still think no game will ever do that as well as this game did. TSL was much darker, and that why I love it so :D

All three Sith lords fell to the exiles lightsaber, to the teaching of Kreia, and to life without the force. And the best part is, neither the Exile nor Kreia were truly Jedi, or Sith.

Nihilus is kinda disappointing. Well, he is pretty much the game's icon being in the boxart and in the launcher. And he is the first sith lord that you fight even though there is SO much buildup about how powerful he is and stuff. Yeah.
Nihilus always gave me the creeps, he made me feel as if he were some unstoppable force that came from the darkest corner of the universe that no one knew about, but he had to be stopped.

Actually that was only half a joke. See, the reason why so much content got cut from KotR2 was that LucasArts wanted it out in time for Christmas of '04. Even though that meant going up against the new Halo, Metroid, Grand Theft Auto, and Metal Gear Solid. Never take business lessons from whoever was running LucasArts at the time.

Darth Nhilus is BY FAR the BEST sith lord out of any of the games. Darth Sidius was a clever old bastard so i won't say anything about him, but NHILUS was just a wasted epic opportunity. He was well designed, the mask, the clothing, the intelligible speech makes him awesome but you get to kill him halfway through the game. I think he should have been where Sion or Treya was... not easily beaten at Telos.
@TheBravethunder Actually Nihilus didn't die. Before Kotor 2 he sealed his soul into that mask that he wears to prevent his his hunger from consuming him, thats why they never said that he would die from his hunger just be weakened.
As much as I liked Kotor 2 I still feel this villain was a lost opportunity. He had awesome design but his voice was silly with no apparent words said, just nonsensical sounds. Plus the "Consuming all life on a planet thing" was plain stupid.
@Dazor99 I liked Nihilus, but I think when compared to Darth Malak, he is a let down. But despite that, he is awesome in his way, despite the fact that I would have loved to see more development toward his back story and more "real" dialogue on his part as well. I never felt too immersed when all I heard, was a weird nonsensical sound, but anyways, I enjoyed Nihilus and I hope KOTOR 3 has more "fully-developed" villains like in Mass Effect.

But, Obsidian aked Lucasarts for permission for a Restoration Patch, but Lucasarts denied it for reasons unknown, so basically Lucasarts forced the game to be cut for a christmas release to cash in as much money as possible

@mrbobmanbob besides the fact that he had to be lured into a trap so his power could be drained, have a force bond be severed between him to weaken him further and have a person who is also a hole in the force fighting him in order to defeat him, and also you he can't be killed, in the story it says that he sealed his soul in his mask and that thousands of years later a dark lord named darth krayt finds it.
Now this guy had power rarely seen in star wars. I mean dont get me wrong, Darth Sidious, Darth Bane, Naga Sadow and all that lot were amazing, but this guy consumed the life force of an entire planet of force sensitives, that's impressive.

Is it just me, or are the Sith Lords from the Old Republic era more dark and creepy than the movie lords? Ok, Darth Sidious is indeed dark, but man, he couldn't consume an entire planet like Darth Nihilus! And Darth Sion, he's the lord of pain or something, how hardcore isn't that?

Actually that was only half a joke. See, the reason why so much content got cut from KotR2 was that LucasArts wanted it out in time for Christmas of '04. Even though that meant going up against the new Halo, Metroid, Grand Theft Auto, and Metal Gear Solid. Never take business lessons from whoever was running LucasArts at the time.

@AndyGrouch the reason the battle was easy was because he normally just feeds off the force energy of jedi he fights. But the Exile is *spoiler* the echo in the force so when he used his power he was drained

Darth Nhilus is BY FAR the BEST sith lord out of any of the games. Darth Sidius was a clever old bastard so i won't say anything about him, but NHILUS was just a wasted epic opportunity. He was well designed, the mask, the clothing, the intelligible speech makes him awesome but you get to kill him halfway through the game. I think he should have been where Sion or Treya was... not easily beaten at Telos.

@TheBravethunder Actually Nihilus didn't die. Before Kotor 2 he sealed his soul into that mask that he wears to prevent his his hunger from consuming him, thats why they never said that he would die from his hunger just be weakened.

As much as I liked Kotor 2 I still feel this villain was a lost opportunity. He had awesome design but his voice was silly with no apparent words said, just nonsensical sounds. Plus the "Consuming all life on a planet thing" was plain stupid.

@Dazor99 I liked Nihilus, but I think when compared to Darth Malak, he is a let down. But despite that, he is awesome in his way, despite the fact that I would have loved to see more development toward his back story and more "real" dialogue on his part as well. I never felt too immersed when all I heard, was a weird nonsensical sound, but anyways, I enjoyed Nihilus and I hope KOTOR 3 has more "fully-developed" villains like in Mass Effect.

Krayt finds his holocron, not his mask. nihilus does die at telos on the ravager. and it is beacuse of his connection with visas that allows you to kick his ass. a shame since he was awsome!

@aweha personaly i blame obsidian, bioware did the first one and it was amazing, it was obsidians fault for wanting to get the game out for christmas, hence all the cut content, obsidian should go under for what they did to an awsome game series

@dega it wasn't obsidian's fault, Lucasarts wanted it to go to christmas release and since Lucasarts was publishing it, Obsidian was forced to agree. But, Obsidian aked Lucasarts for permission for a Restoration Patch, but Lucasarts denied it for reasons unknown, so basically Lucasarts forced the game to be cut for a christmas release to cash in as much money as possible

@mrbobmanbob besides the fact that he had to be lured into a trap so his power could be drained, have a force bond be severed between him to weaken him further and have a person who is also a hole in the force fighting him in order to defeat him, and also you he can't be killed, in the story it says that he sealed his soul in his mask and that thousands of years later a dark lord named darth krayt finds it.

Now this guy had power rarely seen in star wars. I mean dont get me wrong, Darth Sidious, Darth Bane, Naga Sadow and all that lot were amazing, but this guy consumed the life force of an entire planet of force sensitives, that's impressive.
