Choosing Motorcycle Protective Gear : Fitting a Motorcycle Jacket

this is what Miss Teen USA 2007 will sound like in 15 years. i kept waiting for this one to say "I personally believe that US Americans who want to purchase a motorcycle jacket..."

I just bought a leather jacket that has the same collar as this one. It fits me very well. However, the collar is very very stiff. When I sit on the bike, the collar hits my throat and bothers me. Is this normal?

get some leather oil like baseball glove oil and apply it to the collar and it will loosen the leather up and make it so it bends and so its not so stiff. it worked for me atleast lol

that jacket is TOO big for that guy. It should be uncomfortbly tight at first. When you sweat and move in it....it will break in and get a bit looser.

haha yes and no. It should be pretty snug and a little uncomfortable because the pads get thinner as you wear it so that it has a better fit after a while. So if you buy a helmet that fits you perfectly at first then the pads will get squished and the helmet will be too loose and that's unsafe.
