My boyfriend is an audio engineer! So that's very handy. We use Cubase to record. With these videos, my bf sets up a mic near me, and plugs my guitar into a thingy (?!) and recrods all of the performace into Cubase. Then after the main performance, I go through and add some extra tracks!

The problem with your material isn't that the songs are bad. They aren't. You are hot and you sing pretty well. Unfortunately, your style and songwriting approach are rather derivative. There are boatloads of singers who sound like you. So you need to develop a more memorable songwriting character and persona to stand out.
