the four-hand piano part is integral to this piece...where is it??? The brass should also be playing at octave pitch in certain cases, bu they did not.
@pvcforever: Search for Scott Fitzgerald and Yvonne Keeley performing "If I Had Words", which is the song from the Babe soundtrack you are referring to. It was made in the 70s (means: chosen for the movie, but not specifically made for it) and, as am4516 already mentioned, is indeed a reggaefied cover version of this exact piece with lyrics added.
@JacobSprenger: Excellent comment! I was enthralled by this piece while watching a short film about France at EPCOT, Walt Disney World--but I think I first heard the "reggaefied" version in "Babe." The cast kindly provided me with a list of songs used in the film and I wiki'd this symphony. The info stated that Saint-Saens completed it in 1886 and dedicated it to his good friend, composer Franz Liszt, who died that same year.
Many thanks to Gulalongondrina for this sublime post.
Yes, heaven on earth.
Many thanks!

@speaks3703 neither did I hear the piano and the bass brass. I liked the strings in this clip however.
