@RyoKawakita It actually has a lot more low end in person if your amp is set up for lows. Really heavy, it's actually the reason I'd like reacquire one.

I didn't find this Aenima to be all that spectacular. It only COMPOUNDED my constipation. It took the emergency room over an hour to remove it.

Can the SPAE do normal AE sounds as well? I kind of want an Aenima that has a gate and this seems to, and I'm interested in the white noise and crazy ass features.

@MedicineMelanch0ly The SP-AE can probably get the tones on the smooth side of the aenima's texture knob but it's difficult to get trashy, transparent, shoegaze fuzz.

Hey man have u ever played the shoe gazer? I cant decide whether to get this one or the shoe G, can u help on whats better or the diff in the them?

Well the shoe gazer is two fuzzes in one, so you have the advantage of two fuzz sounds available via footswitch. The left side of the Shoe Gazer is very similar to the SP-AE's main fuzz, but not as dark. It can be more trashy and hissy, "fuzz with all the flaws" as devi says. The Right side is a Soda Meiser circuit which is very muffy and can do some octavia and get pretty scrambled. The Spec. Aenima here can do just as much its just a darker sound and can go from lo-fi to huge fuzz.

Yeah above all the sP-Ae isn't being made anymore so if you can find old stock on a retailer's site I'd snatch one up. Shoe Gazers probably won't ever go away due to their popularity.
