@oscarmcmc La Liga has two amazing teams admittedly, but the rest of the table is filled with mediocrity. The Premiership by comparison has a team like Spurs with players like Modric, VDV, Bale etc who beat the European Champions in the Champions League, yet still probably won't make the top four this year due to other teams like Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City. La Liga is no where near as competitive, and only has two top quality teams.

And on top of that, have a look to the points needed to maintain top division in La Liga and the EPL, you need more in La Liga (meaning that you have to take more points out the top teams). Bottom line (and I do know this very well), if you like a greatly organised, passionate and properly marketed football, EPL is for you. If you like quality football then you have to go with La Liga.

Spain does have a stronger top 2 and better technique throughout the league, but it is just plain dull. The prem may not have as many world class players, but ill always be better to watch and to follow. Every year Real and Barca finish 1/2 with a massive gap between them and 3rd place. @oscarmcmc La Liga has two amazing teams admittedly, but the rest of the table is filled with mediocrity. The Premiership by comparison has a team like Spurs with players like Modric, VDV, Bale etc who beat the European Champions in the Champions League, yet still probably won't make the top four this year due to other teams like Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City. La Liga is no where near as competitive, and only has two top quality teams.

I have been living and working in London for 9 years now and I do go often to see Spurs. I think the problem here is the media, they try to sell you something (and very well indeed) that is simply untrue. EPL is better in terms of organisation, marketing and media but in terms of competitiveness and quality of football is still far away from La Liga. Look at Valencia. (to be continue)

La Liga (believe it or not) have had a more diverse number of winners than the EPL. Of course if we look at european titles La Liga is superior. But not just that, they have also done better in Europe League. In terms of players La Liga is also superior (see top 20!) But on top of that (to be continue)

And on top of that, have a look to the points needed to maintain top division in La Liga and the EPL, you need more in La Liga (meaning that you have to take more points out the top teams). Bottom line (and I do know this very well), if you like a greatly organised, passionate and properly marketed football, EPL is for you. If you like quality football then you have to go with La Liga.

Spain does have a stronger top 2 and better technique throughout the league, but it is just plain dull. The prem may not have as many world class players, but ill always be better to watch and to follow. Every year Real and Barca finish 1/2 with a massive gap between them and 3rd place. The prem will always have a bigger following world wide, just because it's so much better entertainment.

Es ist so lächerlich, dass man sagt Messi hätte den "Weltfußballer des Jahres"- Titel nicht verdient. Er ist und bleibt der beste Spieler. Auch wenn diese Saison nicht ganz so erfolgreich war, hat er wieder einiges gezeigt und seine Gegner alt aussehen lassen. Bei der WM hatte er einfach nur Pech. No it's not... El Clasico is Barcelona vs Real Madrid not Ronaldo vs Messi. The fact that Barcelona won 5-0 actually helps Ronaldo's case because his team is so much worse than Barcelona yet he still manages to score at the same pace as Messi. I think most of the people on this video have never actually watched both Messi and Ronaldo play more than a few games each. And that obviously includes you because you want to use the clasico to compare as that's probably the only matches you watch.

Messi has only scored goals in 2 of the 13 games he's played against EPL teams. That's terrible considering he averages over a goal per game in La Liga. Of course he has the 4 goal game vs Arsenal (although they without their best striker, winger, midfielder and defender...) and in the CL final which is great but he also has 0 goals in 6 games against Chelsea, 0 goals in 2 games against Liverpool, 0 goals in 2 games vs United in 07-08 and no goals in the game vs Arsenal before his 4 goals.

@tespo2 Only time will tell, Messi is only 22!!!!! and he has been getting better every year. Not only scoring-wise, he has been playing as winger, striker and now midfielder, I think Messi's prime is yet to come.
In regards with him playing in the EPL, i think he'd score a LOT there, because there are a lot more spaces between the lines. Just look at Henry or Fernando Torres, one went down and the other up because of the playing styles. Let's just enjoy them, all of them are great.

@afriqueengunner Zinedine Zidane was born in 1972, he won a WC in 1998, you do the math... Ronaldo "won" the WC in 1994, aged 17, without playing; then again in 2002 at age 25. Pelé won it, aged 17, in 1958, then again in '62 and '70 in what was probably one of the best national sides in football history... Singling out Messi is not only quite stupid, it's irrelevant to his footballing abilities.
