This speach was scheduled weeks ago, while Obama, having obtained a copy of this speach before hand, hurredly went on the air to counter this speach before it happened. Why? Because Obama KNOWS that Cheney is right, but the unthinking hatred of anytning bush won't allow him to do anything else. I am an independent. I will like to ask if you were in such position to gather information from a hard core terrorist, what will be your procedure to essential informations? Why do u think they kill Daniel Pearl? Why couldn't the terrorists come to a compromise with passengers on each flight on 9-11? I'm not against sleep deprivaction, food rations, etc. Waterboarding gives an intense feeling of eminent death-which is indeed torture. I hope I answered your question. Ghandi and Martin Luther King were quite successful with it. If Al Qaeda were to sign it they would have to wear uniforms and would have been caught when boarding the planes.
