  • This bit is hilarious! Brooks was one of the funniest skit comics ever. I love most of his films but nothing compares to his early stand up.

  • google knows nothing about him passing a joint around, is this another of those tv myths?

  • so inventive. Love it!

  • good but he borrowed a lot from a Bob and Ray routine

  • @darius595 Which line? I love both Bob and Ray and Albert Brooks.

  • @joshscobey actually, it wasn't bob and ray, it was mel blanc and jack benny on johnny carson...they do a similar routine, you can see it on youtube, mel blanc repeats si, sue, sy when jack benny asks him questions

  • Holy Christ, this is brilliant.

  • I remember Albert Brooks coming on the Tonight show and he lit up a joint and passed it to Johnny, and then to Ed, it was hilarious to see them passing the doob around!

  • Too fucking clever!

  • Let's see Carrot Top or Gallagher beat that! Albert Brooks is a genius. He's a regular Albert Einstein. And that's the truth.

  • @feck2112 His real name is Albert Einstein!

  • @al5u4x Yes,Feck! Therin lay fecks joke! Not quite as funny when you explain them.

  • @feck2112 yeah! lets see literally the two worst comedians beat that!

  • This is a highly creative prop!!! Amazing!

  • Does anyone have the priceless clip where he did a brilliant bit that culminated in spritzing himself with a seltzer bottle and walking off into a series of spotlights like Jimmy Durante? It was one of the most hilarious things I ever saw on the Tonight Show.

  • Holy shit! I've been looking for this bit forever!! Who know I just had to type in Albert Brooks? >_>

  • Priceless!

  • I P P

  • i like albert in the movie mother

  • Watch this one right after the 1972 ventriloquist sketch from Flip Wilson (which was also the bit he did on his first Ed Sullivan appearance, when nobody knew who he was). This one I was lucky enough to see when it aired. Thanks for posting it!

  • Thanks you so much for posting this. I saw it when it was first broadcast and have spent the last 25 years trying to tell people how funny it was. Brilliant!!

  • Still the funniest man alive..

Get his comedy albums-and listen to the tune Revel's Balero..

    Albert put words to it..

First heard it in1974..becareful-don't listen to it w smll children..hysterical..
