@joshscobey actually, it wasn't bob and ray, it was mel blanc and jack benny on johnny carson...they do a similar routine, you can see it on youtube, mel blanc repeats si, sue, sy when jack benny asks him questions
I remember Albert Brooks coming on the Tonight show and he lit up a joint and passed it to Johnny, and then to Ed, it was hilarious to see them passing the doob around!
Does anyone have the priceless clip where he did a brilliant bit that culminated in spritzing himself with a seltzer bottle and walking off into a series of spotlights like Jimmy Durante? It was one of the most hilarious things I ever saw on the Tonight Show.
Watch this one right after the 1972 ventriloquist sketch from Flip Wilson (which was also the bit he did on his first Ed Sullivan appearance, when nobody knew who he was). This one I was lucky enough to see when it aired. Thanks for posting it!
Thanks you so much for posting this. I saw it when it was first broadcast and have spent the last 25 years trying to tell people how funny it was. Brilliant!!
This bit is hilarious! Brooks was one of the funniest skit comics ever. I love most of his films but nothing compares to his early stand up.

Let's see Carrot Top or Gallagher beat that! Albert Brooks is a genius. He's a regular Albert Einstein. And that's the truth.
