i dont see what you are doing differently in the level where you want the secret strange item house to appear how do you do that?

There are 8 worlds, and on the 8th world there are 5 blocks you can stand on where giant hands pull you to your doom, you have to jump 12 tanks to get to the goal and it takes 12 jumps to get bowser to fall to his death. 8=h 5=e 12=l, what does that spell? HELL!

I think it was used in a beta Fireemblem but without the Shells clapping.

actually with the cloud that lets you skip levels, yes you CAN skip the fortress, its just in some cases the lock is right there beside it so it;s pointless to do it. A good example would be in world six the first and third of the fortresses are NOT in the path, but the locks are, so using the cloud would be pointless. the other cases, you don't yet have it, but could skip them. if you die though in the next level, it's a waste, as you are sent back to the last level beat.

@mrroboto5785 You can skip the World 8 fortress easily, hit the pipe and reach the last two levels.

If you die there, you go back to the pipe, not to 8-2. So it's handy there.

@Axelhander True, thats one of the only fortresses you can do that in. For me though, I find that fortress easy though, so I don't use the cloud.

Keeps your P-Meter full for a set amount of time to start the level (The P-Meter allows you to fly).

Warp Whistles let you skip entire worlds. If you have 2 of them, you can go straight to the last world.

The anchor can be used to keep the Koopa Kid's ship from moving around the map (if you happen to lose). It's not very useful, IMO.

Id allso like to ad that the Tanuki suit can be used to instantly kill off oponents by dropping the statue on their head. Effectivness is less than the hamer bros suit but you can kill a variety of enemies with 1 attack that way.

Actually, the frog suit in World 2 doesn't trigger it randomly in future houses... the houses are all set independently. You can get Frog Suits in World 3 and some other worlds without having unlocked the one in World 2.

I actually used to have the Nintendo Power guide, one of the neat things was that it showed you what items were in what houses.

Some of them changed in the All-stars version though.
