Emo Vlog #1: My Cat Has To Be Put Down Tomorrow

My cat just died this way last night. This video made me sob. He died in my mom's arms on the way to the vet. Im so sorry for your loss.

my cat is being put to sleep tonight. we have had her for 15 years: ASHLY MARIE and we are heartbroken, I was angry that they wanted to put her down, but then when my daughter went to see her she told me she was in pain and could barely breathe and I felt in my love and compassion, it was the LOVING thing to do, last night I was ADAMENT about letting her come home to go peacefully. But I realize now that it's part of lives--we live then we die and we mourn. I am sorry FOR ALL OF YOU here<3

I had to put my cat to sleep last week and it was the hardest decision I ever had to make. I am so sorry for your loss and yes...it is the right thing to do to put them down, but I don't know if you ever had to face that situation before, but I had not, and the event has devastated my life. She leaves behind three kittens, which I am looking after. You are right...it feels wrong to do this. My heart goes out to you, hope your little sweetie rests in peace. He's not been eating for the past week, so we took him to the vet and found he had Cancer in his liver, and it spread to his bowels. He was 13, and has been in the family since I was 6. I'm sorry for your loss, I know how it feels :(

I had a cat named Gorbechev (white cat with a gray smear on his head) and he had the same condition. He kept having siezures...and one day he lost control of his hind legs. He was walking across floor dragging his heind legs and he was screaming. He went to the vet and died that night and they said it was a blood clot that killed him.

So I just got back, and I dont think Ive ever cried so much. The worst part was holding her as the doctor stuck the needle thru her IV thing. Then ontop of that I had to bury her in the backyard by myself. It sucked. btw in only 14, so all this came in like a big mac truck in the face. But the "chemicals" took no longer than 5 seconds before he used the stethoscope and pronounced it. I wish you the best with the cat you had, and hopefully can enjoy many years with a future one. My first cat died because of a blood clot. It was really really bad and he was coughing up white foam and died in a few mins, he was in bad pain and the time we drove him to the emergency vets he'd already passed away.

My other cat had to be put down today, because of cancer, she was 11. I feel your pain. How are you now?

aww dont worry i knw how its feels my cat had to be put down last week i miss him but he has a grave in the garden and my mum allways says when we walk past be carefull not to awake jake lol he was the best thing i had in my life and he was taken from me he had fiv so he got really ill and cause of fiv he diddnt have the white blood cells to fight it :( but at least there in a better place may his spirit run free :D

Hi, I feel sooooo bad for you! I have an 18-year old cat who has a homeopathic problem and a kidney problem and she is blind... I've only known her 10 years of her life cause Im 10, but my dad just called me and told me he was gonna put her to sleep tomorrow... And Im gonna get out of school to be there with me.. and I'm trying to do homework right now but I just can't.. just stay strong. :)

my cat lived for 20 years and we had to put her down around october last year. it was horrible as i hadnt known a day where she wasnt alive (im 16) but im left with so many memories and funny moments and loads of great photos. sorry for your loss of your cat, i hope you feel better now :)

Lol when my cat died, my dad was SO upset, it was like his son, they always use to play fight all the time, and get into bed with him all the time and sleep. Everybody said to me "It's just a cat HAHA". They really dont understand. I know how you feel. You gave it the best life you could. Remember that. Its had a good life, and you have mad it fufilled.

I wish I could have. We talked with the vet again, and though they were giving him pain medication, the soonest I could have been back was 2 days later- he'd have had to be on some pretty heavy medication the whole time, and even then, would probably be pretty uncomfortable. : (

In the end, we were "there" for it via phone and I talked to him while they did it. It was so sad but I feel like we made the right decision.
