this songs brings great memories from my childhood, back when Port-au-Prince was pleasant to live in, and when konpa bands were playing real music. Unfortunately today's Haitian musicians have not followed the footsteps of their elders.

Pi Rouyé, Pi Koupé. Fred ak André Dejean the best in this business. So many best memories of Petion-ville in the 70's. I was playing this music very loudly and eating a mango in front of my house in rue gabard and it was Major Guillaume time where all has to be neat in the streets of Petion-Ville. Then he has a "Homme de main" called Bellevue who used to walk the streets of Petion-Ville with a "rigouaz" to do clean-up work and run after kids playing soccer on the streets. Sweet Petion-Ville.
