  • Suzanne Malveaux is Black Woman, I know she wanted to punch that bitch in the face after that interview.

  • @SheIsSuckinMyDick She doesnt look very black, most people who see her on a street would think of her as white. Sorry, shes a cracker.

  • Comment removed

  • @SheIsSuckinMyDick I'm saying how pathetic are black people when they need to claim someone who has a tan is black to make themselves feel good. You obviously hate white people so why would you want to claim someone who is 75% white as one of your own. I'm sorry the black race isn't as successful as the white race but you don't see white people trying to claim mixed race people who are partially white as their own. Sorry to hurt your feelings, but people with tans aren't black

  • @darockk99 All I have to say is go to her Wikipedia page, and read how she is proud to be Black Journalist in a "White-Washed" News world...I'm not spending no more time with your illiterate stupid ass !!

  • This lady is in this ivory tower realm of a white dominated society. It is not her fault, so I am not going to degrade her. Obvious she doesn't have any close relationships with people of color. If she did, she wouldn't say stuff like that.

  • Man times have sure change old white people can call black folks racist look at your freaking history woman who are the most racist this factual history woman oppression death genocide apartheid list goes on and on and this white woman is so ignorant she probably does not know she's talking to a African american yes Susan claims African American status she's just real light skinned with fair eyes

  • It is quite interesting that white people trivialize racism, and call it the race card, when in fact they hold the deck and have the power to oppress people. It is absolutely absurd for any white person, to call a black person a racist. Racism is a more covert and systemic practice now, but it has not changed.

  • I can't give a thumbs up or down to this clip. I did not understand what she was saying or meant. ??? She may be a bit confused.

  • WhAT A F#CKING IDIOT...

  • The black community needs to leave their feelings about the past, in the past, we have black president now, let`s move on.

  • It doesn't matter if we have a black president, racism will alway exist. It is just not as overt, but it is subtle. However, racism is not the number one factor that maligns blacks in America. Disgraceful school systems, unstable family structures, lack of access to human and monetary capital, and an unfair justice system.

  • @Mr40acresandamule There`s racism on both sides of the street..........alot of black people still use the race issue and the past to complain, that`s one of the reasons why "white America" doesn`t work with the black communities alot.

Example of an ignorant black man: Kanye West, for interrupting Taylor Swift`s acceptance speech on MTV or VH-1. I could understnd his anger, I`m a minority myself, but what he did was very very ignorant and his mother, rest in peace, would`ve kicked his ass.

  • What does Kanye West's interruption of Taylor Swift have to do with black and white race relations. You talk about blacks complaining and using race a lot? Take a poll of blacks to back up your claim. I believe it is more about social economics and class more than race, if you read my post carefully. I never suggested that blacks weren't racist nor did I suggest that whites were the most racist. Racism is more institutionalized and hidden beneath the surface.

  • WHY is she whispering??

  • She spoke very quietly...as if scared or somthing: If Only She Knew She Was Speaking To a Beautiful Intelligent AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMAN..

  • @RicxelArms HAHA Please, how sad are black people when they have to claim Suzanne Malveaux as a black woman, her skin isnt even black, it's barely even light brown. People who see her on the street would think she's white. Sorry, she isn't black.

  • nobody seems to grasp what the young lady was trying to say. Bottom Line is this blacks want to be separate. She wants to be equal but American blacks are the ones with the problem.Blacks in America want to be separate. Most whites American born whites see blacks as equal but blacks are thick headed(some)

  • That woman need to get up off her backside and go to school and study the history of the united state, she is so eliterate, look at who interviewing her...a briiliant black woman with high a Euducation on cnn. Well done Suzanne!

  • SHe talks so sweet and shy and quiet. She is afraid a person of color may be lurking near her somewhere and here her. Poor, dear, sweet, paranoid, racist little old white lady. I feel sorry for her. SHe is sadly deluded and in need of medications to balance out her paranoid schizophrenic episodes. Racists are a psychologists dream.

  • I agree with iLuvAkeys4ever, Ms.Malveaux is creole. Here is a quick history lesson. Black is not a race, Spanish word for black is negro. Ignorant people attempted to use the Latin form which is niger but if you dumb they used nigger. In the 80's most chose African American because of heritage and it was not a given name by Caucasians. There for if you are born in America and are of color then you are African American not black... black is not a race its a color. Education people go to school.

  • Im simply saying that the black community shouldnt pay attention to ignorance too much. Stupid white people will say stupid things always. i dont agree with that lady that black people arn`t equal, they are to me. No one is better than anyone. i just agree that if your born in the U.S. your an American. Im from mexican parents and they call me gringo down their and thats fine because my country is the U.S.

Also, you`re wrong latinos are not racists against blacks, what world do you live in.

  • i agree with this lady that we all are just americans, but i dont agree with her that we are not equal. the only one whos above us is our lord and savior Jesus

  • your ignorant. very very stupid

  • Comment removed

  • what the f was she talking about

  • This is funny, does this woman know that Suzannes daddy is African American?

  • Sigh---another typical racist white trying to define another cultures identity and trying to deny true history.

  • i was wondering myself as a black man why do we see ourselves as African Americans when the Constitution states if you are born in the US you are American. Only African American I know is President Obama who has an African father and an American mother. I was born in Little Rock so im American..i wasnt born in Africa. we sit there and let them separate us but we are all Americans..no African, Chinese, Mexican or middle eastern adjective needed. I am an American.

  • v: Most of us dont know which county in Africa we come from so we identify with the entire continent. African American is similar to a white Americans identifying as Polish, German, Irish or Italian sometimes adding the term American and sometimes not.

  • I agree. My parents are mexican but i was born in the U.S.

I think that there is still alot of racisim on both sides, blacks and whites. I think that the black community should be the bigger person and not hold a grudge on what happened in the past, after all we do have a black president, and that says alot.

  • oyea

    and we are AFRICAN-AMERICANS BITCH!!!!!!

  • lol let the beat build BITCH

its always white people trying to forget what they did to blacks

  • shes kinda right, if your born in america, your american. I was born from mexican parents, i consider myself full american, not mexican america. when i visit mexico they call me a gringo, im not considered a mexican and thats perfectly fine with me.

  • she is stupid and she is racist

she obviously dont know what us blacks went threw in the past and whats going on now.

  • supid whites Suzzane you look good

  • fuck that bitch, she can suck my dick

  • die

  • If it were the other way around she be saying it's unfair. Ever heard the saying you can really get know a man by walking a mile in his shoes, I think she should do that and come back to me later to see if she changed her mind. And Lady no matter how rational you try to soud you still sound like a crazy racist to me.

  • Blacks are more angry! I wonder why? Is it because of the history of this country and the treatment of my grandparents both Black and Native American. Being beatened by the White police officers, attack dogs beigng put on us for wanting to vote a few decades ago. We were raped, murdered, and denied human rights because of the color of our skin, that is called racism. The White man took us Blacks from hell and back. I think it will take time to heal.

  • You sound angry, yourself...Were you ever raped, murdered, denied human rights? Your grandparents had EVERY right to be angry. But, where does it stop? 10 generations from the last racist slur your family hears??? I know there is racism still out there from whites, but adding to it by hating and holding resentment toward whites for something that happened two generations ago, just adds to it. WE ALL NEED TO CHANGE! WE ALL NEED TO LET GO OF THE PAST, AND CHANGE!!!

  • Say what you want, but that white wimminz is right. The average minority is WAY more racist than the average white nowadays. And of those the worst are the blacks and mexicans.

People need to direct their angst in the right direction instead of against each other. As long as we are bickering over skin color and past injustices we will be blind to the atrocities of the future.

  • Agreed

    Forget Race

  • milf

  • i find it wierd that white people act like they have no idea why this happens

  • please tell us why this happens if you really do know

  • if u really dont know. (im sure u do i just dont want to say it) its becuase white folks used to kill black folks for fun. they treated them like animals. u cant expect them to get over it especially in places where people are still as racist as they were back in those days.

  • booger... maybe its because white people like the woman in the video have put the past behind them? Maybe they know about the horrible crimes committed but realize that they did not commit them. So they wonder why THEY are treated like they did.

Or maybe they just dont know the history, and still wonder why they are treated like they did something bad.

Hmmm... seems there is a lesson to be learned about forgiving, not holding a grudge, and working together for the bettering of man kind.

  • I'm all for blacks continuing to fight against the blockades and racism against them today. But most of the ones I have talked with always harp back to historical injustices from hundreds of years ago.

With the loss of King, and X, the movement has died. Get some positive role models for the kids, teach them there is more to life than shitty rap and materialism. As long as the community continues to stagnate, stupid whites and blacks alike will find stereotypical reasons to hate each other.

  • YEAH SUSANNE IS THE HOTNESS;) I LOVE THOSE MIXED RACE WOMEN;*smooch!

  • whats the problem with being called "african american" after all thats the goverment refers to them as(im not black). my lord racism is a problem but damm now some people are mad by what others identify themselves as it should not matter WE ARE ALL AMERICANS. CNN onece again youve faile.

  • damn that bitch dumb as hell :\

  • suzanne malveaux is fine as hell

  • The biggest problem in this world today is humans. Why you ask? Simply put we are the one that are experts at destruction, face it we are nothing special when we invent things like racism, communism, dictatorship, rich, poor, diseases, war, money, class, child abuse, wmd, disinformation, fake taxes, fake government, etc. Face it people we are all evil and we always look for some entity to come and save us, if any such things come back on this planet it's job will be to have us all for breakfast

  • oh suzanne... you drive me wild

  • It seems to me that racism has become extremely complex, so much so that a person often does not realize they're racist.

  • This posting is biased...they failed to put up the entire story including statements from a black man saying the same thing as this white woman. The black guy even says white people only voted for Barack Obama b/c it's "fashionable." As a black person, I can say I don't know anyone playing the race card but blacks -- everyone I know is voting for Barack Obama simply because he's black. I am disappointed in that but I completely understand it.

  • are u sure that all blacks are only voting based on race? are u saying that blacks are unable to pick a candidate based on policy positions? Are u saying that whites are the only ones capable of appreciating Obama for being a breath of fresh air to politics, while blacks are relagated to only voting their race? you are either stupid or misguided.

  • can you say a jew is not a jew...damnit if you were born in germany...you jew and german... blacks or africans know where they come from...you can't take our history...accept it ..accept our uniqueness. Jew or African or what ever it is...even Italian..enjoy the pasta and don't expect us to eat mcdonalds every day..we have our culture too.

  • On top of everything else, Hillary is playing the race card. What a deviant b*tch.

She resurrected Slick Willie to do her dirty work. He attacks Obama's integrity. As if Willie would recognize integrity when he saw it.

I'm sending Willie a present. A CD with the song "Devil in a Blue Dress." Maybe it will jog his memory.

  • Who gives a shit about Clinton or Obama? Why vote for the people the media wants! Sheep.

    Dennis Kucinich 2008.--

  • oh so now because Obama is winning SC they bring the race card....where was the race card when many white men/women everywhere decided not to vote for him just because he's black...I hear it everyday when I ask what they think about him, they say: "man, he's black...."

  • HAHAHA....The overall narrative in the United States involves a diverse people. Only a blind deaf person can claim they do not see or hear the differences amongst us. It would be great if as AMERICANS we were all equally represented in government and protected under law in this country...but that is not now nor has it been in the past.African Americans and Hispanic Americans and Asian Americans and Native Americans all have to fight for their fair share of America.

  • Corporate Media talks about race for once... and completely flubs it. Sur-friggin-prize.

  • The woman is a bigot at heart. She may well be unaware of how far out of the mainstream she is in her thinking; everyone she socializes with either agrees with her or is too polite to confront her. Like all true bigots, instead of giving her views, she attempts to mischaracterize the views of blacks. What qualifies her to speak about what blacks think, anyway? She's simply projecting her own racial stereotypes. A bet she thinks she's a good American, too! LOL!

  • On a side note it looked like Suzanne wanted to jump up and smac that bitch

  • wow thats scary thats some of the racist nonsense ive ever heard. She says everybody is not equal and then tries to explain

  • That lady was scary. Talk about ignorance. There are damn good reasons for non whites to feel defensive. 400 years of slavery + over 100 additional years of various types of institutionalized oppression...I'd have plenty of anger if after all that people tried to tell me to shut up and deal. Come on people! Ignoring race and the turbulent past this nation has will not heal us. Only when white understand the pain of oppressed people can there be any kind of real unified identity.

  • @CitizenWorm I don't recall any president of color,before obama..It couldn't have anything to do about race..lol

  • VOTE RON PAUL PEOPLE DO YOUR RESEARCH! SEE WHO IS BEHIND YOUR CANDIDATE:

    /watch?v=5uUHX2QMA5g

  • Ok, whos the bigger fraud?

    Obama , Hill the Swill?

Obams is pretending to be qualified because he speaks well,is black and Oprah says so.

Hilldabeast because her experience as first lady and 6 yrs as a senator. They are both products of the liberal media and guilty white people who want to feel better about themselves by voting for a minority.

Our country will be in grave danger if either of these empty suits and pants suit gets in office.

  • Hildabeast! LOL! That is wonderful.

  • Wake up and Vote Ron Paul the only candidate that can help America

  • ROFL!

  • your generalization is racists -

  • Here is the TYPICAL HILLARY SUPPORTER. White, female, democratic and racist.

  • White woman: "I believe the blacks are more racist than the whites..."

    Ow! The Stupid! It hurts!

  • CNN(CLINTON NEWS NETWORK) ARE DEVILS & if both blacks & whites Fall for this attempt to Divide US that CNN is trying to pull U ALLLL are Ignorant..This is what they want to keep us DIVIDED..If U people keep on Falling for this stuff We Will Never Change the course of America's Downfall in the World. this is NOT the time for us to Fight & HATE each other...PLEASE Americans Come 2gether 4 our Children sake their Future is @ stake. The only way to Kill Hate & Division is With Love & Unity!!!!!!

  • That is why I ran kicking and screaming out of Columbia, SC and will never look back.

  • This lady needs to shutup, if they want to say African American then they have every right. People say Jewish Americans...and I know a lot who do...who cares, they just respect their heritage. I'm mixed, but when I'm in Hawaii...I don't hear the pure Hawaiians saying American...no they say they're Hawaiian.

  • The next interview is with Michael Richards.....

  • Pipe down about "racism" whitey! Last time I checked no white folks ever got lynched. Racism is alive and well. While not the exclusive province of crackers, their racism does the most damage and embarrasses this country. Black folks have a damn good reason to be sore about the legacy of slavery and racism in this country.

  • When I say "lynched" it refers to extrajudicial murder (not just hanging) which occured commonly throughout the USA, targeting black folks. You're a dolt if you don't understand my clear statement or the nature of lynching in the USA. Its a shameful bit of american history, but its undeniable.

  • The definition of "lynch" is to murder without due process of law. Only a dolt would make the claim that its only happened to black people. You clearly said with improper grammar I might add "Last time I checked no white folks ever got lynched." Well yes they have been. As a matter of fact some of my own heritage was burned alive for witchcraft.

    Just sayin' man.

  • Fair enough sir. Sorry about the "dolt" line. . . too much coffee-knee jerk.

  • White Okies most definately were lynched in the San Fernando valley in the '30's, as were Wobblies (IWW) in Washington State and Oregon. Union organizers wer lynched in the Steel and Textile Mills of the Ohio valley and the Great Lakes region.

One day America will wake up to realize "Race" is the stalking horse of class warfare. Corporate interests have a vested interest in keeping the working poor divided and setting us at each other throat.

  • well put.

  • Does she realize that she's being interviewed by an AFRICAN AMERICAN? Anyone who say's racism doesn't exist anymore, needs to wake up. And for the record... both Blacks and Whites are racist.

  • Diane Wiggins DEFINITELY says the N-word.

  • Co-sign

  • god america sucks...

    srry..

  • having just moved to the south there is a lot of racist talk in normal conversation here and its really unconfortable

  • don't be assimilated

  • i now live in the south, and can tell you with no uncertainty that the people in the south are totally racist. if you have white skin here, you are assumed to be a part of that school of thought.

it is shocking to hear how these jack-asses talk. especially because they will look at me and assume that i am part of the "club".

totally disgusting for a girl from los angeles, which i am proud to say is FAR less racist than here.

  • You have an interesting perspective on the matter because as you imply, you aren't actually part of the "club." However to say tht "people in the south are totally racist" is quite a condemnation.

  • perhaps it's hyperbole, but in comparison to where i am from, it sure appears that way...

  • We all have some pred in us.. yet, I think she was talking about all of us being one america instead of Black and white

  • This just in, one old lady is racist and can't defend it.

Josh, your channel is awesome overall, but this video is all anecdote and no data. If media critique is your intent, I'm not getting that either.

  • The idea that CNN would allow someone the platform to espouse these views uncritically is media critique in and of itself.

  • It's a bit short to know CNN's framing, but I wouldn't actually mind quiet exhibition. She incriminates herself in the cold isolation of Malveaux's deadpan; a reasonable viewer will see the weakness of her opinion.

She's used to being propped up by people she talks to, and now she's abandoned to confront her suddenly obvious, and pitiful fallacies, with an audience of millions.

It's a compelling moment of drama, but not quite hard news. Hence I'm not sure what point Veracifier means to convey.

  • Black people suffer in ways white America cannot conceive, her in that sweet house with a fire going and a glass of Pinot Blanc from the stocked cellar. My best friend was chased down and handcuffed, roughed up on the ground by cops just because he was out running, jogging! He's a teacher.

  • Hey lady: We see your true colors, shining through...

  • Yes, racism is alive & well & even more sinister than pre-1960s. It's underground, hush-hush now, but it's real & pervasive. When you hear white folk talk about cutting spending, slashing budgets, what they mean is, cut welfare ('cause they assume all welfare recips are black), medicaid & other social progms. When you hear 'em talk down unions, it's because they don't think it's right that lazy blacks can't be fired for being lazy.

  • Saw this last night and I'd have to say a lot of white folks feel like this. This lady, as you can tell, isn't even FROM S.C. I wish they would have aired more of her explanation of why she thought we weren't equal. Sadly, a lot of white people just can't understand why the 'african-americans' just can't get over the whole slavery/racism thing, even tho it's only been 40 yrs since they got equal rights!

  • WHO CARES?! When your dollar collapses everyone but the super rich will suffer DEARLY, White or Black!

    WAKE UP!
