  • Wait so what's the movie called again?

  • This King, Lived In Our World For 50 Years.

This King, Will Live In Our Heart For Eternity!

  • In case you haven't noticed, the movie is called Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

  • Реалистично,а опет некако веродостојно.

  • Can the Scienitists of the world find a way to stop this creature

Toho Producers: No we've got him under contract for another 27 movies

  • They should've had the narrator from Evil of Frankenstein to do Godzilla KotM!

  • noticed he said ''GODZILLA KING OF THE MONSTERS'' ALOT of time...

ima count... ROFL, he said it 6 times total...

  • @RizeMeteor

Yes Narrator we get it the movie's called Godzilla: King of the Monsters, we can read the freaking title card

  • aaah I cant wait for the reboot!

  • Will someone please pay attention to my comment =

To the six people who disliked the video Godzilla will kill you LMAO.

  • Godzilla is the lizard not the man

  • I actually like this version, not because it introduced the character to the world outside Asia, but because the American-made scenes blended very well with the rest of the movie, in a very well done narrative by Raymond Burr, and it didn't try to deny the fact it's Japan being crushed, and the japanese being the ones dealing with it. Unlike other Japanese Live Special Effects series which were HEAVILY Americanized. Like one of the recent Ultraman shows and the Super Sentai shows.

  • Godzilla is the man.

  • 1:24

  • 1:23

  • I just got this movie today. It was OK. But not the best in most of the parts.

  • I think more then anything the fact the Hays Code was still enforced at the time Gojira was released had more to do with why the dubbed verson was butchered, hence why scenes that made Godzilla's rampage in Tokyo seem more like a genuine disaster were cut or altered, in addition to company being cheap and adding the Burr footage, but Burr still did an impressive job givein that he was simply cut and pasted in, and his pressence shows that Godzilla is a threat to the entire world not just japan

  • Narrator: Can the scientists of the world stop this creature

Toho Producers: No we've got him under contract for another 28 movies

  • SEE GODZILLA! KING OF THE MONSTERS!!!

  • this version ruined it. fuck america.

  • @TheMotionMan112 I bet if this version wasn't made, no Godzilla movie would've ever been made.

  • @Dinosorable remember, only one of other of the godzilla movies was made in america (the anthony broderick one) the rest of them were made by toho in japan. america just might have not of dubbed them

  • @TheMotionMan112 Really? Because I've seen a lot of Americans in the first one too. And one of them was the star of the movie.

  • @TheMotionMan112= Hey don't blame America. I had nothing to do with this. For all we know, Canada was involved too. Alot of Japanese stuff is dubbed in Canada. Think before you go shooting your mouth.

  • @vigo894 last time i checked there wasn't a canadian version of any of the movies, canada speaks english too, you know.

  • @TheMotionMan112 who cares about canada.

  • @bubbanater07 well, if it werent for us you americans would be starting wars with EVERY country for resources, we provide you guys with lots of trees and oil. think about stuff like this before posting your anti-canadian jibberish

  • @TheMotionMan112 I dont know about trees.

  • I'm looking forward to the 2012 update, but I can't help but wonder how they're going to update Godzilla's origins for the post 9/11 world, since fear of the unknown and mistrust of intentions have taken the place of fear of the atomic bomb

  • in WW2, the japanese people probably thought the U.S airforce was a Godzilla, a unstoppable force

that burned their cities to the ground at will, and the Japanese military and people were helpless to stop it.

and never knew when it would return to wreck more destruction on them.

  • @federalwarhawk

More then anything it was the attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the Bomb Tests the US was conducting after the war, and the H-Bomb accident involving the fishing boat Lucky Dragon No. 5 that inspired the original Godzilla, and Godzilla became the most visible symbol of the fear of atomic weapons and for Japan they has every right to be afraid since they've experience nuclear nightmares four times (Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Lucky Dragon No. 5 and the meltdown caused by the quake)

  • DYNAMIC VIOLENCE! SAVAGE ACTION! SPECTACULAR THRILLS! A CATACLYSM EVENT BEYOND BELIEVE RIGHT IN YOUR TELEVISION! SEE GODZILLA! XD

  • godzillas awesome but he was the only part i liked the rest was dumb

  • WOW I LOVE GODZILLA ESPECIALLY THIS MOVIE'S DARN INTIMIDATING...!!! CANT WAIT FOR 2012 GODZILLA TOO!!! HOPE IT WILL B A SMASH HIT AND WIN LOADS OF OSCARS ;DDD

  • @kdbhasin1956 Win more awards than Star Wars A New Hope, Avatar, and Titanic combined!

  • @Victoryman34 netflix has it on their streaming service

  • I hate they way Hollywood came along and Americanised a character who was meant to symbolise the evil of American nuclear weapons. This movie is a classic, unlike the crap that America shoves down out throats!

  • You can't find this movie online... and I have no idea where to look for the movie. Anybody got ideas?

  • @Victoryman34

    I got mine at Wal-Mart.

  • @Victoryman34 Hulu has got both versions, the original japanese version (which was better), and the american version. (the one with Raymond Burr)

  • DYNAMIC VIOLENCE!

  • This is fucking terrifying!

  • A couple of missiles from an Air Force jet would not have even scratched this Godzilla, but they were able to kill that 1998 rip off.

  • @GarthanSaal444

We do not speak the 1998 travesty on such a video... We as well as the Japanese ''See Final Wars'' know that Iguana was a disgrace.

Let us hope the American Reboot by a different company an director an Toho heavily watching over the project redeems us for the 98 film.

  • send godzilla to washington ! to kill all those corrupt bastards in the government !!!! then have him take a dump on the gestapo IRS CUNTS

  • P.S. I'm American.

  • @VenomShock damn right! He had one good thing, LOTR. King Kong was terrible. I can only imagine what damage he'd to to Godzilla, whose already been disgraced once by American filmmakers.

  • @koukinshouyu King kong was great what the hell.

  • i've seen this flick for the first time a few years ago, It's great! and it's my favorite godzilla movie of them all !

  • We need Godzilla Now... We should unleash him on those islamic extremists!

  • @TheTxBandit= Shit yeah!

  • Boy, I sure do miss the good old days. You just don't get enough "Dynamic Violence" in movies anymore. WTF?!

  • It's Alive!

  • @murieC shit themselves laughing

  • niceeeee godzilla is the best

  • Raymond Burr was real godzilla :-D

  • See what playing with atomic bombs does! Raymond Burr can walk again.

  • Is the film JUST another Monster movie, or has it got a more meaningful meaning to it?

Like Seven Samurai, an action movie that was more than just action?

  • @xaxie1

It was a Japanese representation of nuclear war from a nation that experienced nuclear weapons firsthand.

  • Peter Jackson should remake this movie.

  • @MajickDemoniack Fuck No, he shouldn't.

  • See, back in '54 they didn't have the effects that they have nowadays...and the "dark film" category made this even more Scary...Godzilla looked very imagineable up there on the black-and-white screen, adding to the effect...of course, compared to today's standards of effects with films such as "Alien", "Predator", "Jurassic Park", "King Kong", "Lord of the Rings", etc., where all looks as realistic as hell, this was sub-par, but we couldn't get enough...and it scared the, er... "poop" out of us

  • the 5 people that didnt like this had their grandparents ghetto stomped my godzilla

  • That guy sure does like to say "GODZILLA:KING OF THE MONSTERS"

  • @Oldkt he says it six times xD

  • Greatest Movie Monster in the History of Cinema

Long Live Godzilla an his return to American soil in 2012 or 2013!

  • this was an awesome movie. I actually cried

  • Ya know, I think it's alive.

  • Was that hair spray coming out of it's mouth?

  • @DigitalFrangipani NO IT'S THE MOUTH LASER

  • @DigitalFrangipani atomic breath

  • Best Godzilla movie ever made! Classic

  • @concretespecial Best Movie Ever

  • its funny they still use the same special effects for the jap godzilla movies

  • i luv the movie ,but the sound when he breathes fire sounds a bit like a fart :/

  • @dragonpiecemovie Only in this trailer, if you remember. I assume they did not want to spoil the actual godzilla roars and all.

  • the most scariest movie in there time!

  • epic to this day

  • my freind thinks mario and sonic is stronger than godzilla i said fuck you his the king of monsters lived for 50 years and he has atomic breath mario and sonic will die

  • @stevehorrorman LOL Sonic Fags are retarted

  • The narrator of this trailer sounds so heartless and excited introducing Godzilla while Godzilla obviously destroying mankind :))... Wanna watch this though

  • in all honesty, the guy who did the trailer actually kind of ruined the whole idea of it. this godzilla movie is, in my opinion, the best out of all of them mainly because it's a classic, but also because this is probably the only godzilla movie, mad ein japan, that JUST had godzilla. it could also be labled as classic horror just because of the black and white, and the inspiration behind it. this movie was suppose to reflect the tragedy at Heroshima. over all a VERY good movie.

  • This guy here, must had some serious coffee, lol. I love this movie, but GOD! Its not that serious lol

  • the voice over guy is WAY to exited

  • the guy who does the voice over sounds...i just cant think of anything, just wow

1:21 it sounded like he said "randy jackson"

  • Good God! They are REALLY overselling this movie!

  • well I watched this film on dvd when I got in from the pub last night it is the first time I ever seen this it is fantastic Godzilla is badass scenes with Raymond Burr work relly well there is some Japanese diologe in there but it is most however the rest was dubbed over in english. now I have heard that the origanol cut is very dark in tone, but this version i'd say is quite dark I like how the film starts withe reporter layed in the rubble

  • For years I ahve been looking for this film, when I heard that the DVD was being released heard in the UK only the origonal cut of 1954 was released I lurned the US recut version was avalible in the USA but not in Britain WHAT? I am glad to say that managed to get hold it (at last) on import via Amozan & it plays rather well in my DVD player

  • Raymond Burr was a good actor, however.

And it is better than Avatar for many reasons....

  • @murieC

Way better then that bullshit Avatar

  • this is the scariest movie ever. its rated R, so children beware! lawl :D

  • What was its name again?

  • He needs a tic tac

  • Comment removed

  • The best monster film in my grandparents generation. Love that movie, despite the fact the boot-legged effects weired me out when I was little. SEE GODZILLA KING OF THE MONSTERS-LOL. :D

  • What are white people doing in this movie? racists...

  • Producer 1: "Hey! What happened to our original line at 0:36: 'devastating Japanese cities like an atom bomb'?"

Producer 2: "We had to change it. Apparently it's considered insensitive given what happened during the War."

Producer 1: "Oh, right. Well, I'm sure the new line won't offend anyone."

Producer 2: "Exactly. After all, it's not like the words 'six million' and 'holocaust' have any significance in recent history."

    Producer 1: "Quite."

  • what the hell is up with the gay roar? thats not how i remember hearing him

  • @Monkeypulse Thats his nuclear breath man.

  • the amarican godzilla sucks the real one is better

  • so he is psychotic eh, the military should have just asked him about his mother.

  • AWESOME THIS WAS MADE ON MY BDAY WHENI WAS TURNING 26!!!!

  • whats wrong with godzillas roar...lol..what a wimpy roar. i am glad they didnt use that one.

  • @Fpockets It was just made for the trailer I guess. The original version of this movie (without raymond burr) was released with the roar heard in the film, so I assume this is a stock roar used for the trailer.

  • Well. duh, how can you kill him, if you can't even hit him with the bomb.

  • haha i loved this ovie when i was little

  • Onaga Wins!

  • This movie never scared me as a kid. I thought it was cool. Still, its a masterpeice.

  • I lol'd...they said "Savage Action"...but it sounded like "Samuel Jackson"....

  • the problem with the Japanese one is the pacing.

  • i saw the original

  • Can i buy this on blueray? :D

  • @Zickenlotto a black and white film on blue ray....that sir is fucking epic.

  • stipud, shitty 1995 american re-release

  • Godzilla is the greatest monster in history without question, I had this film when i was younger an i loved it. The black an White Film really added to the creature's effects.

I hope Godzilla is around for the next 50 years just so my kids can appreciate this Classic Creature.

Godzilla is King of the Monsters.

  • i just found this movie in my closet and i havent seen it in so long! really good movie for that time...

  • Omg !!! that is Raymond Burr , wow Perry Mason , I'll be a monkeys uncle , I never knew that after all these years , wow he sure was in the prime of his youth then & soo was I must say !!! nothing is better than Godzilla , still the best and always will be , others just come and go , but Godzilla remains !!!!

  • I never knew Raymond Burr appeared in this movie.

  • @JeterSwisherFan88 He was added for the American market, as they felt an all Japanese film wouldn't sell, as he was a popular actor at that time.

As it stands, either version works well, as a sense of doom and destruction prevails...the Japanese are barely on their feet after WW2 and a horror borne of the A-Bomb reminds them that they will suffer worse the second time around..

  • I hope the new one they are making stays true to the first.

  • someone upload this movie

  • I have this on VHS and like half of Godzilla's movie. Ah VHS, whatever happened to that!!! Now I can't even watch like any of them! Its such a crime

  • @Almonsjffr Just get the movie on DVD then. yes it is on DVD as wel las the direct sequal Godzilla raids agian.

  • Godzilla=Greatest monster ever

  • Good movie, I used to own it... Hell i had almost all the Godzilla films when i was younger but my brother let one of his friends in when i wasn't home so when i went to catch up all were missing but the damn 1998 Zilla film. Wish they would have taken that one an left the others.

Oh well, I'll have to Re-buy it if i ever find a store that sell's all the classic Godzilla films.

Been a fan since the early 80's, Glad to see he's still around.

  • @XxComablackxX1937 Why cant you just order them online?

  • The special effects were actually quite good for the time. Imagine how the guys who built all those beautiful miniatures felt when they were smashed, crushed, and burnt.

  • Godzilla is the man. (or monster)

The greatest monster to ever walk the big screen.

  • @aledre1a Well, we have to call him one or the other, because if he was both, he'd be the "Manster," and that title's already taken, ;-)

  • @aledre1a i dont care how advanced king kong is dont care how kidyish the seqels are godzilla is the king of the monsters

  • I prefer the japanese version.

  • I hate how they never really gave Godzilla their respect. Why did they take out his roar? Why did they add in that stupid noise to the atomic breath?

    God, America suck's.

  • These sound changes were only in the trailer, the actual US film retained the sound FX.

And save silly rants about America for when you see what they did to the next two Godzilla films!

  • Like switching Godzilla's roar with Anguirus's, and how they changed "Godzilla raids again", to "Gigantis the fire monster"?

  • Gojira/Godzilla hates the human filth

  • He's just hung over

  • He wasnt trying to destroy the city, it was just in his way...

  • I love Japan, it's culture and after seeing this movie 20 times, I want to learn japanese and visit one day the country ! Luckly (or unluckly, depends the point of view), Gojira won't be there to welcome me...

  • Japan's motto is success through immitation the only difference is that they prefer symbolism instead of directness.

  • I don't follow... ???

  • japan copies europeans to acheive success in modern society, they started in the very early 1900's to make a more europeanized military to defeat the russians before the russian civil war and Vladimir Lenin

  • Being a little busy... anyway, that's the Meiji Restauration period you're takking about and lucky the Japanese did copy European style in 1886, otherwise they might have finish like the chinese at the same period : invaded with international concessions.... yet, Ilike your point of reason

  • So wait, what's the movie called?

  • no godzilla is a robot he could walk by him self

  • You can't beat a classic. The black and white give the film a tone of horror, dispair, and bleakness. When I first saw this film I had nightmares about it. I have seen all the Godzilla films after it........but this one (this first one), frighten me. It was said Toho made this film to tell the world of the horror and the fear of the Atomic Age and it's weapons. Good Film and and the action is well....better than some of the stupid giant monster movies that are made now.

  • wen the car flipped it looked like a hot wheel haha

  • When you're 6 years old and watch this on a 12 inch black and white TV it scares the shit out of you.

  • Godzilla is like "Citizen Kane" in the B movie franchise. In my opinion.

The 60s and 70s movies are classic, but kind of a joke to the series. But the 80s, 90s and 2000s are spectacular.

  • yes its was a realyy cool videoo ;P

  • wait theres gamera godzilla old friend

  • Dynamic Violence!

  • A THIRRA FROM GODZIRRA!!!!!

  • is this the VERY first movie??

  • yes

  • yes

  • no, its the second, but its a remake of the first one.

  • Um... No? Guys below me especially. "King of the Monsters" was released in 1956......

The original "Gojira" was released in 1954, therefore that is the first movie...

  • it's the same movie, only that this is the american version

  • The very first Godzilla movie, but the not the VERY first movie.

  • This is the first one to be released in america, but in 1954, a year before it was released in america, it was in japan.

  • emiko emiko i saw it its alive its huge

  • LOL is that suppose to be a Cloverfield reference!!!!

  • yes

  • well, not this one my friend

  • wait a sec i thoung that godzilla was good?

  • not in this one

  • w00t! The modified Godzilla 1954 movie!

  • i personally am not offended by this comment but if a religious person sees this they r gonna come after u. im just sayin...lol

  • one of the best movies ever made... EVER!!!!

  • Anybody know where in th ehell I can find this movie. All this stupid site has is stupid people trying to make there own with fuckin toys or they just put trailers on hear. I'm sorry if I sound bitchy but hell you must admit it is very annoying. thanks if you can help me and if you cant thanks for trying.

  • I love that movie .. has a cheesy reputation because it is a guy in a rubber suit but it is really a good movie

The scene where the children were singing and they were showing the death and destruction was actually very dramatic ... and the music was very well done.

Also the American verision was editted amazingly well considering Raymond Burr's part was added in 2 yrs later.

    cool posting !

  • Well the SEQUELS were all pretty cheesy

  • his heat beam sounds funny

  • I've seen this, when i was 13 I watch Monster Night on BBC in 1998 Then I went to Class I Talk about Godzilla Old movies Wearing a Customer he did Saw the Old Movie Before.

  • You disrespect the first King of the Monsters!

  • True. But, still true is my comment.

    Nice name. Love Xenomorphs.
