A constitutional monarchy keeps a mess like the democratic repulbic of the USA from happening.

It's wise indeed to have a permanent advisor, with decades of experience and no political affiliation to guide and advise whatever elected official is in office. It keeps power divided and prevents charismatic seizing of power.

The sad fact of the matter is when you look at all the other countries that Kings and Queens of England have ever occupied, All had uprisings of one sort or another, with the people coming to their senses and GOT RID OF THE DRAGON,and in doing so,left everything in a complete and total mess, India had these problems for example. The monarchy is a giant tourist trap. The only reason they're popular in Britain is because they bring in tourist dollars.

But hey, I like the royals. Move Buckingham Palace to Ontario, and I guarantee Canadians would be less apathetic. In fact, I think a royal industry would do a lot better business near the US border than it currently does in proximity to a continent stil swimming in royalty.
