hi! i'd really like to learn this technique. my problem is when i mix head and chest, it goes more to the head and sounded almost as classical and i can hear the shift cause then it sounds more airy and my voice seem to lack power. how can i do it smoothly and sounded like im belting the high notes but not really belting it like beyonce and other good singers with healthy technique?
@mynameisDixie Good question - that's what everyone is trying to do! In just a few words, here it is: can you feel the space in your head when you use 'head voice'? open up that space and then speak through it. It's all about using the singing voice and speaking voice as ONE voice. If you sign up on my website you can get a free video voice lesson - SingLikeYouSpeak. com - give it a try to get more information.
@mynameisDixie Hi Dixie, from the description of how your voice works right now, I think SingLikeYouSpeak™ is exactly what you need. If you are using that 'head voice' space and then 'speaking' through that space, then you will sound like you are 'belting'. Because belting is really a speech quality. Take a look at SingLikeYouSpeak. com for online training. Let me know how it goes!
@passionatesinger100 I watched the clip - Lenny does not sing well and I can hear some vocal damage - calluses on the vocal chords. He strains. Healthy singing takes training and practice - practice that is focused on the right things. You can download a free lesson from my website, SingLikeYouSpeak. com Good luck!
@MichaelJacksonDude88 The 'how to' takes lots of learning and practice. Sorry I can't show you in a short video. Sign up on my website for a free video lesson for a few answers SingLikeYouSpeak. com
@jiabi5959 Falsetto is the male voice that is above the 'regular' voice - the vocal chords performing slightly different. head voice is generally connected with the female voice. 'head voice' really refers to where the voice is resonating. for much more information and training, try my website: Sing Like You Speak . com
@jiabi5959 falsetto doesnt hav to be high it can be low aswell just check out darren hayes he uses it alot in low keys sounds great but if u can do high voice it generally means u can sing clearly if u use falsetto then its meant to be a more kina pop sound
Your videos of how to sing like Beyonce were very helpful and wonderful to watch. You are a great teacher!...i was wondering whether you could do me the honour of performing the whole song by Beyonce 'If i were a boy' and uploading it to youtube...I would love to hear your wonderful voice sing to that song!
