  • how does this round compare to the WSM? i just got a 23 inch barrel xbolt in the WSM and i plan on getting the NX3 3-10x Leopold scope.

  • good shooting. what bullets are you using? I have had great luck with Bergers.

  • Great shooting not many people can make that on a cold bore shot but I'm assuming it was your first shot...Either way great shooting!...Thumbs up!

  • Hey man, nice shot... were doing the same thing @ 1200yds with the 260 on a piece of 12" AR-500

  • wow very impreesive shot.. it looked like that baby was falling out of the sky by the time it got there. .lol.. very nice..

  • unlike you, at my young age Ive actually fought for this country as a combat engineer in the u.s army and yes I respect your right to be a wannabe soldier, playing grab-ass with your buddies on the weekends, goofing around, taking pot shots while giggling, digging unusually homoerotic music I'm guessing you heard at your local gay bar (while you and Bruce grinded the night away) but im a tad bit too busy avoiding and absorbing i.e.d blasts at the moment.

  • @Boston1775 Dude, playing "Call of Duty" in your step mom's basement does not count, butt I do appreciate the effort at martyrdom. Now go away and let the big people talk. If you dont like the video, vote with your feet and go away.

  • @Boston1775 lol stay up soldier.. never you mind these grabastic pieces of rodent shit .. watch your back n come home safe dude..

  • is that a nightforce 5.5- 22

  • Hey exssdru4u, would that happen to be the Weatherby TRR Custom? I'd love to find out how that compares to somethin like a Remington 700, or even a CZ 550 in .300 RUM. Write back please!

  • name of the song is bullet proof, the jug is notttttttt

  • Wow! two comments:

    1. Nice shooting!

    2. I'm surprised at how well the vapor trail came out in this video!

  • Omg, you can see the bullet path! that is cool.

  • Up against the wall, up against the wall, up against the wall, up against the wall, up against the wall, up against the wall, up against the wall, up against the wall, up against the wall, up against the wall, up against the wall, up against the wall......

  • That was a great shot. Do you have an aftermarket trigger on that? If so which one. And either way what is the pull weight on the trigger?

  • you seem to know alot about bolt actions and scops I just cant find the right power and brand to go with Im mounting it on a rem700 sps tactical and its a .308 I'll just be shooting steel that is 18inches and I want to shoot 800 yards and hopfully up and I dont know to go with TMR or MILDOT hope you can really help I was looking at nightforce but thats really alot of money and leupold and sightron I just dont know the powers and size for that range thanks

  • @miltnxc123 You can't go wrong with a Leupold. Remember this when it comes time to scope a rifle, Cry once and have fun. Sure as hell don't go cheap on the scope.

  • love that vapor trail

  • thats bad ass. is this pushing the limits of the gun tho

  • Nice goatee there mate! Whats the drop on one of those bullets at 1200 yards?

  • nixce shooting thanks for sharing with the community

  • nice toyos

  • @TexanHunter308 you can see at normal camera speed too, if look a little closer.

  • Great shot, I am running 3170fps out of my 300rum with 210gr Sierra Maktchkings over 94gr of Retumbo and CCI250M primers and have made similar shots. Are you using Xbal for you dopes?

  • what are the specs of the rifle/ammo etc.

  • nice shot, if you watch closely you can see the swirl of the round going down range

  • nice shot!

  • great shooting and great song man

  • that is freaking amazing dude. im just having trouble understanding how you could possibly adjust you scope for that much bullet drop it looks like its like 100 feet of drop lol.and i dont dissagree with the choice of music either, the lyrics are appropriate

  • @tnkdanio It's acually not that bad, the nightforce has 100 MOA of adjustment and the Badger base has 20 MOA built into it, At 1200 yds my drop is -24.3 MOA, And at one mile it is -49.0 MOA, So there is plenty of adjustment, With the scope zero where it is now i have enough adjustment to go out to 2200 yds, Hope this helps

  • Hard to do with factory loads

  • Nice shot..Factory ammo or reloaded?

  • @hendotintco Hand loads, 93.3 gr Retumbo GM primer, 208 gr A-MAX Hornady Nosler custom brass..

  • @MT300RUM

What is the MV of the round?

  • @disturbedone5009 3220fps

  • thumbs up if this guy should be shot for using this song.

  • Awesome! What optic are you using at that range, and what magnification? I'm reloading for 308 now, so I'm getting into precision shooting a bit. I've noticed that image clarity becomes an issue beyond a quarter-mile, so I would love to know what you are using.

  • @PupuTheMonkey It is a Nightforce 5.5x22-50, NPR2 ret,

  • @Boston1775 Dude, you are going to get in trouble from your junior high librarian when they find out you are posting four letter words on youtube from your schools computer. Go away and let the big people talk now.

  • @exssdru4u LOL!

  • @Boston1775 Someone was molested as a child

  • so you post these well edited but horribley gay videos on youtube because you want attention? Or is it because you are compensating for the over attention your grandfather gave to you when you were ten years old as he buttfucked the ever loving shit outve you. Seek counseling.

  • @Boston1775 My Grandfather died before i was born,

You better pray to whatever god that cowards that live in their moms basements pray to, that you never come within one mile of me

  • my god sir, why did you pick such a horrible song? I mean wow!

  • @Boston1775 We have all made poor choices........kinda like your dad not pulling out in time......I bet he regrets that now!

  • @exssdru4u what was the rifle?

  • @exssdru4u i think its an awsome song. whats the name of it

  • @exssdru4u

    burn

  • @Boston1775 thats alabama 3 man have some respect

  • @rideredbitch Everthing sounds good so far, The one thing i would check with randy on is overall length of the rifle, mine ended up being 53 inches and you can't find a good case to put it in, What is your inteded purpose for the rifle? Also you can't go wrong with a jewell trigger, but if your not going with a jewell i'd just let Randy do his thing with the trigger thats in it,

  • is the 300r ultra magnum the most powerfull 7mm rifle? tanks

  • wow that is awesome

  • @SPANKY5ful It sounds cheap, more money doesn't allways mean better, but a desent rifle is going to 700-800 to start with. Custom rifles in the 1500-2500 range. then you are going to spend 800-1500 on a good scope. depends on your budget and how deep you want to go into this hobby. what brand is walmart selling?

  • that puts a whole new meaning to "plashing em" lol

  • @prettyvacant2007 roger that...thanks man!

  • @prettyvacant2007 easy to tell you have never shot before. Much more goes into it than just being able to see the target with a "Telescope."

  • great shot... a real pro

  • look carefully at 0:45 u can see the bullet go

  • @prettyvacant2007 a starter rifle for someone into magnum rifles. in other words, a person's first magnum rifle.

  • @drewnickel. A beginners magnum? That is a bit of an oxy-moron. They all have their strong and week points. Just get the one that fits you and your budget. I like the big magnums, but people shoot at 1000 yards all day long with a .30-06.

  • @exssdru4u 30-06 at 1000 yards is an easy shot once you learn how to shoot distance well i can grab my 06 and hit 1000 yards anyday the winds gusting under 15mph in 1 shot anymore wind then that it might take 2 shots to get on track its all about judging windage

  • @streetpunk83 agreed! The olympics and marine's have used the 30-06 for years in 1000 yard competitions. While the bigger magnums offer a bit more knock-down power at that range, there is certainly nothing wrong with a 30-06. That is why I told drewnickle to just get what he can afford on his budget and spend more time working with what he has. Enough time and effort in loading and shooting can make any combo work well.

  • @exssdru4u the .308 is also good for shooting a 1000 yards not as easy as with a 30-06 but it can be done my favorite distance gun is my .338Lapua but right now im trying to get a .408CheyTac or a Barrett .50 if i can get out to the 1800 to 2000 yard range id be happy with that i dont need to shoot anything that far away but its just a goal my uncle can make the 2000 yard shot but he was a scout sniper for the USMC so he's had more practice and wasent self taught like i am but thats just a goal

  • as a beginner's magnum, which is better for someone who can handle the recoil? the .300 remington ultra magnum, or the 300 winchester magnum? I need to be able to find the ammo fairly easily and the ammo be affordable, but has to have some serious knockout power.

  • @drewnickel To help you with your question we would need more info, such as, age, experience, intended use, budget, hand load? or factory ammo?

  • @MT300RUM age: 13 (14 when I get it), expirience with magnums: since I was 4, intended use: extreme range, hunting, target shooting, blowing stuff up, and just plain fun. budget is about $500 give or take $200, depending on savings. it would be hand load if I could also afford the reloader, but I guess factory ammo'll do for now

  • @drewnickel Looks like you need to look further down the road and focus on saving money to fund your project, you could start with a less expensive hunting style setup, but even that might be hard on a buget that low, If it's something you would really like to do than i would suggest spending some time figuring out what you want to build,( action? caliber? scope? barrel? stock? trigger? bases? rings? reloading costs? dies brass ect...and figure your budget based off of that

  • @MT300RUM thanks! I'll see about it. but for now I've kinda figured I more so need something that I can shoot in my yard, so I'm saving up for a high powered air rifle to get rid of my skunk problem, and to do some shooting with.

  • SONG PLEASE

  • @420hih Nevamind Alabama 3 Bullet proof

  • I'd love to buy a remington ultra mag. Also I heard they are changing the M24s round to a 300 magnum, for distance. It will now be called the M40 or something like that. I might be wrong.... go look it up =D

  • Great shoot. Love the arch on the bullet. How many rounds did you shoot before you got that hit?

  • Awesome shot with some awesome video!

  • I believe the navys "SEALS" are trying out the 300UM .... cuz its mo betta than the 308

  • a sling-shot is better than a 308, good starter gun though, I am thinking about getting one for my 8 year old daughter.lol.

  • 243 is better than 308 for young hunters gun, in my opinion, worked as a hunting guide for several years, matter of fact, wasnt for the grouchy bears in my world thats what Id hunt with. Kills everything it touches. With nill for a kick. Great round, that 243. cheap & common & deadly

  • 308 for a 8yr old is a lil small i would go for a 30-06

  • It seems that the people that don't know anything about long range precision or firearms in general, are the ones who think their most qualified to argue about the subject... Case in point, mentioning the "NAVY SEALS" in a comment about the "308"

  • haha! not much 'better' the 308 is the workhorse of 95% of sniper work, and has probably claimed more lives than any other sniper cartridge. With the RUM you're basically adding a few hundred yards to the projectile's supersonic flight speed. This comes at a cost of heavier/bigger gun, cartridges, more barrel wear, increased muzzle signature (noise, flash, & dust printing) The 308 will achieve very similar terminal effects if you stalk an additional 200-300 yds closer

  • LOL , like a mini artillery shell, hell of a shot m8, best I've ever done was 700 yards on a 1 gallon jug with a dragunov tiger that belonged to a m8 of mine, & even still I only just hit it, not like your shot.

  • thats a great shot

  • co to za muza?

  • great shot mate, love that vapor trails

  • wow, very nice video, shows the bullet vapor trails very nicely. what rifle was that?

  • @JohnTheRipper2

It's a custom R&D precsion 300 RUM built on a trued Rem 700 action, 30" 1-10 twist 5r Rockcreek barrel, tubbs lug, tubbs speedlock, jp enterprises tank brake, Mcmillan A-5 fully adjst stock in 50%blk50%OD Green, Badger 20 moa base, tps rings, Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x50 npr2,

  • If you dont mind me asking, what kind of scope are you using ?

  • That is my buddy Matt in the video, can't remember the exact model, but it is a Nightforce.

  • Nice work. Love to see the vapor trail of bullets.

  • you use a rem rifle? what model? and how long is the barrel? do you use some calculator to do that hit or how do you calculate the shot with the eviroment conditions?

  • Fantastic shot...

  • Thanks for watching!

  • holy shit

  • You're ridiculous!

  • Thank you!

  • Nice shot. Could see the bullet/wake at 37 sec. LOL

  • Sweet shot! In a month I head down to TX to visit my folks and take my shot on their 1500 meter range with my 700 SPS 300 RUM. Last time I was there I could not zero in on 800 meters cause of a 25mph gusting cross wind. This time we will definitely go on a windless day so I can reach out and touch something at 1000 meters. I will be using 150 grain Swift Scirocco Power Level III for that shot. At 3400+ fps and only 19" of drop at 500 meters it shouldn't be a problem. What ammo did u use?

  • This shot was made using 208 grain Hornady A-Max, found the higher BC (even though slower muzzle velocity) retained energy and have a faster velocity down range at 1000 yards. Seem to buck the wind better to, but I have shot 180 Grain Scirocco's and had good luck with them as well. This video is my buddy Matt, I shoot 200 Grn Accubonds out of my 300 rum with pretty good results. Good luck man, post some vids of your long range shooting!

  • shoot burger bullets.

  • I have tried some of the burger bullets, and I just get better results out of Hornaday and Nosler. My buddy Matt in the video is shooting Hornaday 210 A-max, and I shoot Nosler Acubond 200 out of mine. We have spent days and days working up bracket loads, comparing groups with different loads, different bullets, and so on. I know burger bullets shoot well, as in the video "best in the west", but I never could get them to group out of my 300 rum.

  • thats odd they have a higher BC than any other bullet. i have a 7mm saum, i use nosler for hunting but burger for punching paper. Hornady shoots about the best out of my .204 though.

  • Nice shot man, you posted this in response to my old watermelon video. I know what these 300 ultras are capable and 300 yards is nothing. I've shot a watermelon @ 800 yards in one shot no problem. I buckled a doe @ 600 yards off my flimsy bipod. 1200 yards is nice, are you using the 210 vlds?

  • 208 A-MAXs, and no, ive never sean your watermelon video..

  • Thats weird because It said you posted this video in response to my 300 ultra video. Maybe youtube does that automatically?

  • No, I posted the video in responce to your watermelon video, MT300RUM is the shooter in my video. Sorry about the confusion, you are talking to two people, me (exssdru4u), and my shooting buddy MT300RUM. Unfortunatly, i did most of the videography so his ugly mug is in most of our video footage. Next time, he gets camera duty!

  • Hey Man

    Nice shot!

  • i know a group of guys that did some shooting at this range at prariehogs just last weekend. one of the guys got the p dog at 1096, he said a group of indian tried to make them pay to guide them through the towns but they indian couldnt understand that they were setup to try long range. LOL!

  • very nice shooting. respect the rem 700
