The fact is that these boys will create beat on everything that you will put in their hands. It can be Roland 8800, Akai MPC 60 or that Maschine or plastic bottle and rubber. But i hope that maschine is good because i order one for me ;]

Hardware isn't everything it takes talent too to make beats. Look at lex Luger or jahlil beats. They make beats on fl studio on laptops without midi keyboards, cus they can't even play keys n they makin hits. I cant play keys neither but I've got that ear for sounds n melodies but I'm tryin to learn tho!

The updates are free! Like when 1.6 came out, you didn't have to go and pay and then when version 1.7 or 2.0 comes, it will also be free, but geez I have no idea what they could possibly do, 1.6 put the maschine on top of everything! So like when Komplete 6 went to Komplete 7, you had to pay the upgrade fee, or buy new!(or student discount like me :) )

@finsoto If your trying to start a real studio your going to need more than 1 mic... But for starts there are 2 really good mics that cost under $500 and they are The Rode NT2-A ($399), and the Blue Bluebird ($299)... I would get the Rode NT2-A first because it has switches which makes it very versatile. Then the Blue Bluebird which gives you true sound rather Vocal or Acoustic. But be sure to get Mogami Mic cables for the best sound quality no matter what mics you end up getting. Your welcome!

Of course they do! What they're saying You should give it a try (or just buy it) just because of the 1.6 update. It has vst/vsti/au hosting, pad link, swing peer sound so... What motivates them are these new things, so it's not just "marketing"... it makes sense.
