  • love your car great job joecam96.iv got a mk2 scirocco gti slowly getting bits for it but hard to find in the uk,re piant and supercharger in the summer then starts the task of finding new trims...really nice to see someone keeping the old scirocco going amazing build.

  • Excellent! One of the best Scirocco Mk1 Videos I saw on YT!

Respect for starting and FINISHING such a project... over 4 years, unbelievable. Its a shame I sold my MK1 GTI in 1997 ...*sniff*

Good luck in further races, man!

@zooom: its a race car, dude- not a daily driver... :o)

  • Not really amused what you did to this great car.

    Original would be much better.

Need a spoiler for the back door? Got one!

  • amazing. great job on this! im about to tackle an 88 16v by myself. thanks for the inspiration

  • Wow! nice job! I started on a 1977 Scirocco, but never completed it. Paint, susp, new engine, and brakes, but it had electrical issues, and more than I could deal with financially. I drove it all last summer with my 6 y/o daughter co-piloted. Thanks for the upload! thumbs up from Seattle WA USA

  • greetings from Polish

  • wow-is that a nice one!!!

  • Liked vey much your project.. we live probably 15.000 miles apart ( I live in São Paulo - Brazil) but share a similar fondness for racing VW.. also watched you race at MAM... not bad..

  • Nice job. holyyyy.

  • That is a piece of art for a mk1 Scirocco. I loved how you did the lower airbox to the cone filter, and were still able to keep the CIS looking good. Beautiful car, this is how a Scirocco should look. I must ask you some questions though. What model number is that Fuel cell, where did you get the oil cooler with the internal threads for a front mount oil cooler, were you replacing the glass with Lexan, and where did you get that water pump(or pwr steering?) gear?

  • Thanks for the nice comments.

The fuel cell is a Well Cell from ATL. Lots of 911 and 914 Porches use them up front in the spare tire well. The oil cooler is pretty generic. You could try any of the race supply shops like Summit, Pegasus or BSR. Yes, all of the glass has been changed to Lexan, the windshield came from a Cup car. The alloy idler shaft pully is from Autotech. Most of the VW performance shops have it along with adjustable timing gears.

  • Nice Proyect, very nice build and thanks to keep this rocco a live!!.
