Watch the revmeter. He's at 10k1 when he hits 220 mph. After that the tacho is locked, but the revmeter goes up to 11k1. So his top speed was (11k1 / 10k1) * 220 mph ~ 240 mph ~ 385 km/h.

nah motorcycles are high rev engines, they're designed to run at ridiculous rpms.

If you don't use the upper end of the gears, your cheating it out of what its designed to do. You'll end up lugging the engine, at least on a bike like these.

ummm...it's faster than 220mph...there's a stopper on the speedo @ 220mph, and he hit at way before 11grand on the tach...so even the engine is going faster so is the rear wheel which means the bike is going faster...oh and it all depends on the angle that you are looking at the road...the further out you look, the slower everything seems to move.

Not doing over 200mph. Look at the police 'cross over road' in the middle of the highway at his top speed. He did NOT pass that at over 200.. I've had my zx11 up to 165, & the world goes by MUCH faster than that. Or, look at a video of an indy car going by at 200mph... It's a dot, then it's a blur by you, & then it's a dot on the horizon VERY quickly. I'd say he's going around 150mph or so, & gearing won't let him go faster. Uncalibrated speedo says what it 'thinks' he's doing. GPS FTW!
