i feel for the girard family. my dad's dad died a few months ago. to see him cry is to see a life tooken away. and as how the dad in this situation was swimming his son tried to save him after saving the sister. a good example of what i would do if my dad was drwonding. but i know i would suscceed because it would be my dad and i cant do nothing more then loveing him as much as i can while have him. I have been following Shane on Caringbridge and feel so much love and compassion not just for him but his entire family. Ranae you are an inspiration to many of us as is Shane! Your faith and courage has reached so many more lives across this country that you could ever imagine! Shane is my hero!!!

I just watched your 'extreme makeover home edition' on TV today in UK (2nd Sept 2008) and my heart broke throughout the show but I sobbed at the end when I read that you had passed on. However knowing what kinda child you were on your website, I just know Jesus came to collect what He loaned to make a difference in the world, that was YOU Boey YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION TO US ALL run after God's rainbow, I can't wait to see it myself God Bless you sweetheart
