  • dude they call them different names depending on where you live,it is a 240 in the states and a 180 in japan and austrailia, and 200 in europe

  • 200sx in the u.s.a. was a sentra coupe. (fwd)

  • niiiiccceeeee!

  • how much power you running bro? solid car!

  • Oh shit. Haha. I love the rb's.

I thought that can of wd40 was gonna get wasted by a backfire the whole time! Hahaha

  • aren't 200sx, 180sx, 240sx the same car just different country?

  • @Crazyrogue yes.

  • @Crazyrogue yes it is! in Japan its called 180sx in europ its valld 200sx and in us its called 240sx

  • Fuckin' sexy. Love your car, man.

  • so smoth sounding! nice for the normal rough "RB" sound most people have

  • thats mean as hell!! bad ass

  • my goodness yea what was that sound I know it was some part of the turbo um also are you using a stock transmission or an rb25 transmission

  • rb25 trans

  • Comment removed

  • lol what is that noise at 0:29, dump valve?

it sounds like it just broke the sound barrier

  • back fire

  • 200sx what horsepowers have

  • kool tanks alot man

  • what kind of exhaust is that? It really sounds great! Best one i heard so far

  • haha its funny how you write (not 180sx or 240sx) cuz it doesnt matter it is the same thing

  • mate i have a 200sx and its not the same lol 240sx is american an i got told by an american their 2.4's? and 180sx is a 2.0l sr20det engine. 200sx's which we get in england are 1.8litre ca18det engines they all got different engines just look similiar... anyway im off now for a public road drift session good bye :) :)

  • @rapidsxi

    almost my friend

    The 240 sx is the american version. Comes with the ka24det (look @ the number 24det = 2.4 l = 240sx

    the japanese has the 180sx 1.8L = ca18det.

the european version was the 200sx 2.0 L and the sr20det.

But they got imported and exported true the whole world, so it's a mix of all, so that's why people confused by them. Ohw and the ka24 didn't come with a turbo stock..

  • the euro s13 (200sx) came with ca18det. The jap s13 (180sx) came with sr20, the s13 200sx never came with sr20.

  • ur right, 240sx was ka24 (shit engine!)

180sx was jap and came with ca18, was replaced by the sr20 redtop (slightly smaller turbo than the blacktop sr20) and that was subsequently replaced by the blacktop sr20. The 200sx was the name used for 2.0l 180sx's in europe along side the 200sx's which are known in japan as s14, s15 etc

  • @OWDS

thank you my friend. Finally someone understands it!

  • s14 s15's are different shapes completely, the one above s13 is the one that is only a 1.8 but is still called a 200sx in europe.

all the ones here are called 200sx's you have the s13 (as above) the 200sx s14 which has the long boot like a tourer and the 200sx s15 which is a more sleak newer version of d s14. these are 2 litres. we never got 2.0litre s13's for some gay reason mr Yamamoto decided against it probly becus ppl put them sideways in ditches.

  • @OWDS not sure if anyone knows this but in japan the 180sx and s13 are two different cars but they are based on the same chassis. the s13 was the model before the s14 so it was a coupe. the 180sx was the fast back or hatchback. both s13 and 180sx came with CA18DET when released in '89 then swapped to the SR20DE/SR20DET in '91. I'll never understand why countries change the names of vehicles.

  • im from england n own 2 200sx s13's neither r imports, they all come wiv d ca18det engine which is 1.8 litre. every 200sx s13 is a 1.8 the only way u can get a standard 2.0 litre is to get a 180sx.

  • dont be fooled by 180sx being a 1.8 litre its 2.0litre garaunteed im about to import 1. The 200sx which europe get is 1.8 litre mine is a 200sx 1.8 litre ca18det.

u can get a jap import which are called 180sx and are sr20det 2.0 litres

i dont no y this is like this, but d USA 240sx is the only one that makes sense. 240 = 2.4 the rest dont i dont no y no 1 has explained this lol

  • @rapidsxi i can explain it to ya. the car shown in the video in japan would be called a 180SX. when they were first released in 1989 they came with the 1.8 litre CA18DET. In 1991 they changed the engine to the SR20DE and SR20DET. I don't know why in other countries it was sold under the 200sx name, don't know why they would change the name. although the US did change the engine and the name. hope this helps ya...

  • @Loco4everHolmes The american car wasnt a "det" ('T' standing for turbo) it was either an ka24E(single cam) or DE DUAL cam. There was never a turbo option for the american S chassis cars. NOT ONLY THAT but the 180sx was also offered with an SR20det (which is the 2.0 if you are unaware)

  • @urcaptnspeaking. @urcaptnspeaking True, i said it wrong. It's indeed ka24e. But none the less, it's a shitty engine. And for the record. The bodytype of the car is as you know.: s13 ps13 s14 s14a s15. The 180sx 200sx and 240sx. Stands for the type of engine that was build in. 180sx - ca18det 1.8L (look at the numbers everytime it's 18.,) so on with 200sx and 240sx. BUT the japanese they love bukake so much, they swapped every engine into another car. And that's were the confusion starts.

  • @Loco4everHolmes The confusion actually started with the fact the 180sx started with the CA18 in the series 1, moving up to the SR20 in the series 2. The name did not change to 200sx, it only changed in some foreign markets such as England. The name 180sx was intended for the 1.8L but stayed the same with the change to the SR as it became such a catchy name in Japan. So for all intensive purposes the 200sx is just a 180sx. The 240sx is a 2.4L Americanised/crap non-turbo version of the 180sx.

  • @KurtHanlon hahaha, thank you my friend.

  • 240sx Is the same thing as a 180sx, They are called by different names. 180sx in japan and 240sx in the U.S.A. A 200sx is a FWD car.

  • isnt 200sx european?

  • hey man i absolutely love the sound of ure exhaust could you tell me what did you do to it to get it to sound like this???

  • greddy td06 25g turbo kit. Single box exhaust, external waste gate plumbed back into exhaust. exedy ultra light flywheel/clutch so it revs very fast.

  • lol, thats probly why you fucked the first motor, revving the fuck out of it for no reason

  • actually it had a blocked heater matrix so it over heated.

  • The sounds at :29, :30 is fuckin amazing. Is that from the BOV, if so what kind!! omg pure sex

Cant wait till i can get one in my S14

  • yea it is a 200sx coz i have one and im in new zealand and here we have 200sx we dont call them 180sx

  • dude we have 180sx and 200sx the american versions are both 240sx

  • what the hell bov was that a tial? very nice build man

  • it's a rps13 180sx, 200sx, or 240sx..

  • its a R13 lol

  • yes it might have the rb25 out of the skylines but its a 180 SX SHELL rrrdo u know the diffrence between the modles.....

  • no, its a 200sx shell. It is a UK car......

  • It is a 200sx because it´s in england, and there we have right hand driven 200sx........ and by the way extremely beautiful 200sx s13 with a wonderful sound!!!

  • nice post more vids

  • 250sx

  • oh my goodness...

  • that shit sounds beast

  • Jaw dropping sound and all around build. Well done, this is probably the most impressive and mean sounding RB 240 Ive ever heard.

  • were did u get the bumpers and the fenders...they keep the car nice and clean

  • idk if its been asked but..... what exhaust setup do you have? 3in. or what

  • 3inch turbo back. Greddy downpipe with exturnal gate plumbed back in. Modded Apex s13 exhaust system....

  • we have many 200sx of this kind here in Brunei, plenty of 180's but no 240's.. eyy btw, this 200sx is sick mann.. keep up the good work~

  • Not to be anal, but this is technically a 240/180SX with a RB25 :).. Awesome car.

  • wow, I have my tail lights painted the same way,

haha, and I also just got a RB25 to put in it.

  • question for you about the Greddy plenum .I have a ECR33 and I still have the stock intake what intercooler pipe did u use???(for left side) Did you fabricate it or use a RB26dett intercooler pipe.I live in japan so this will be easy to obtain.

  • cut and weld some 3 inch pipes myself. I'd rather make IC pipes up as they get a better fit that way.....

  • sound bad son..what did the wd40 do wrong?

  • were im from this car is a 240sx (USA)

  • what are the mods on that rb25det? and if you dont mind wat are main wekaness of an rb25 and its advantages...wanna do same 180sx with rb25...hope u could help me out..thanks..

  • main mods are Greddy TD06 25g tubro kit, 760cc injectors, Tomei poncams, Greddy Plenum, Q45 Throttle body.

The rb25 comes with a turbo that dies at 300bhp, the stcock ecu is also poo and needs binning. I run AEM ecu

  • does it make a great difference from a SR?i love the sound of your RB damn cool....

  • oh yes, I have wanted to scrap this car so many times.

If you know what you want out of your car you should keep going.

  • The exhaust sounds good.

  • nice shit

  • lookin all the time your vids

thats the s13 that i wish have, sounds so fucking freak engine ahhaha.

Waiting for new Videos bro, regards

  • mate your 200 is insane keep up the good work n dont blown this engine :P

  • so is this the same engine thats in your 500hp video? or was that the old one? if so did you build the bottom end this time?

  • Its a different engine.

Its still an rb25det but from a 4wd Stage A

It looked so clean inside when we cracked it open to put the pon cams in that we decided to leave it alone for now.

It doesnt even have a metal head gasket for now.

My plan is to run it at about 1 bar for a couple of months, then I'll swap the head gasket and go for 1.2-1.4 bar.

We have mapped it with much more brutal ignition now so to be honest it not much slower than it was at 1.4 bar last time round.

  • Nice!!!

  • not had the old block tested yet, but the water system had gas blown in all the time, we changed 2 head gaskets with no change.

NEw engine sounds a lot better and was a lot cleaner inside.

  • what cracked?

760cc? damn that is good to about 750hp or more....

im goin with the rb25 swap, gonna stroke it to 2.6

ill just pay the a/c shop extra, im to lazy to figure it out my self.

  • Actaually 760 is only good for about 500bhp

  • You can get to about 500 bhp with 550's on an rb25.

  • yeah but those injectors will definatly reach the 700hp range.

    yikes at the leak.

personally i would have probably bought a new block, but you seem to do a nice job without it.

oh noes! did you consider the rb30 block swap?

ill feel like crap if you says no lol

  • I just went for another rb25 this time. I'm building a 'built' lump over the next few months. Either an rb30 or maybe just a mega strong rb25 to keep it revvy.

  • hey neil ima send u apm what i would do... yeas i am that secretive, only because not everyone knows about it.

  • hi there....very nice car sound,,please let me know what mods,,u are using,,,thanks,,,thumbs up

  • rb25det engine.

    Greddy TD06 25g Turbo kit

    Greddy Plenum

    Q45 Throttle body

    Tomei Poncams

    Nismo 760cc injectors

    FMIC

Custom exhaust with Apex performance backbox

And a whole bunch of other stuff...

  • NICE do you drift with it?

  • not really.

    Its my road car lol

It is hard to drive it straight though....

  • get bigger tires in front and rear man... i plan to run 285/30/18 front and rear ;)

  • Its good with 235's and 255's. 285's on the front would tram line like a bitch.

I ran 265 and 245's before the 265's on the rear were good in the dry but aweful in the wet.
