P.S. I know it sounds daft, but the popularity and improper playing of these wondrous instruments by tone deaf individuals trying to survive in the 19th-20th century lead to various ordinances which forced the Barrel Organs and Organ Grinders to become all but extinct and become relegated to preservationists who would have such enthusiasm to practice to the point where it's automatic to play properly and nearly impossible for the instruments to get any sort of blemish to them.
In the interest of history, I wonder what it would be like to hear such a beautiful instrument out of tune and cranked incorrectly to capture the barrel organ grinders that Charles Dickens talked about.
Haben Sie jemals von franz Oehrlein gehört?? Ich habe eine Orgel von ihm gemacht.
