FYI it is anywhere from 1.5 to 4 hours to scrape and pick all the glass and underlying GLUE off your unit. Then glue new screen back on (black areas only!) without dust/moisture factory gasket underneath. Replacement digitizer/repair is about $180. Good luck to you self-fixers! Not for this guy: no patience...

I ordered the screen to my iphone... replaced it... and my screen didnt turn on =[ i was able to receive calls but the screen was off... check the wiring connections and still no good =[ called apple told 'em that my iphone screen had turned off and it wasnt showing anything... so they sent a box...i sent it back.... and I received a refurbished one!

as long as your warranty isn't finished and you haven't jailbroken, if you have jailbroken, restore it first

yeah following the blablapony's comment, whenever you restore it, if it was previously jailbroken, there are some folders still leftover. So make sure you get those cleaned. For example. The private mobile videos folder was still there on mine. It was leftover from Cycorder. I did not have a problem with the iphone but I did a test to see how much the restoring actually erased.

I actually have no idea, but if you will crack it more than it already are I wouldn't do it like that. You can crack the LCD and digitizer så you have to change everything and that will cost 150-250 USD!
