  • I love this man!!!!!

  • i think that whoever wants the alternative should be allowed to...the drug companies are making a huge deal about knowing the formula and then whaT? Then they can exploit it and make profit from it..TRIPS(Trade-related aspects of intellectual property rights) will be the next thing Obel has to deal with if the drug actually cures AIDS. Otherwise, let those with herbal knowledge continue to practice it otherwise western companies will take over the ownership:)

  • this is just another loliondo in the making. the difference is the loliondo prophet was not charging hefty sums

  • a taste of you own med literally albeit lol! the prof is walking the talk....

  • GREGOR MENDEL - 'The Father of Genetics' would be largely denounced today by the simple 'uneducated' Kenyan minds simply because his approach and method to genetics do not fit within the narrow dogma of traditional scientific methods the way most Kenyans have been trained to think.

  • This is a scientist turned to a quack. If he is true about his so called cure, let him request for HIV proven patients from an independent source,Let him administer his concoction at a given period of time to prove is nonsense. Otherwise he is just a person who is out to swindle desperate sick people who are catching at straws to survive. That would be proof enough. Since he is not ready to request for that i believe he is just a conman.Stand to reason men!

  • @musaondigo well said sir.

Dr. could u cut your hair please.

  • It's a shame that everybody id bashing Prof. Obel without showing scientific data and clinical tests that confirm that his drug doesn't work. How can you use innuendo and press conferences to dismiss something you have dismal knowledge of? Why can't the medical and pharmaceutical community engage him for a valid confirmation? I forgot they are busy importing cheap generic drugs from India and counterfeits from China to care, it's good business for them and Obel is just a nuisance.

  • @'81: HEY it is him to provide success data....the burden of proof is on him! How can we prove him wrong? or right?

  • How hard is it for some university researchers to give HIV positive volunteers this concoction and monitor their viral load over time? This pearl omega thing has been going on since the 90s and I have never understood why it is not tested on volunteers to clear the matter once for all. We may be sitting on THE cure na tunapiga domo tu huku na kule.

  • he will never ever ever release his formula....that right there is a cause for major concern!

  • Thank you Mr. Mwangi for mentioning EBM.This is something every Med. student knows in Europe so I wonder wether they never tought him that in oxford.

  • in kenya anything is possible. why get worried t Obel's wichdoctor treatment?

  • @msafricanwoman: u know I'm not....this quack wants to make money out of human misery....and you support him? come back to me.

  • absolutely agree with Dr. Mwangi. It is immoral to stand between desperately ill patients and a cure....but since when did a seriously ill patient tell what treatment works and what don't work? If we allowed everyone to brew n sell their concoctions how we know what works and what doesn't?

Today's medical breakthroughs are as result of rigorous scientific testing...this greedy selfish perfesor belongs to the backstreets...he is a disgrace to science!

  • @siasabora The real question here is who is standing between the sick and their cure? Africans had medicine that worked before modern science!!! Western medicine has it's roots in Africa... Find out who the true father of medicine is.. I'll save you time..Imhotep(African) whom Hippocrates(Greco-Roman) learned from... The first successful western c-section was a result of Observing Ugandan mid-wives... but don't take my word for it do your research!!!

  • @adhiambonyarkisumu I will take your word for it....now back to this 'discovery' - I have lost close relatives, friends and watched whole villages decimated by AIDS pandemic...yet this greedy beneficiary of taxpayers scholarships and education can not share his little secret from a tree that grows all over Kenya?

  • @siasabora what abt mwasapile something from tanzania.r u going to cut him off from his 'cure' just becoz u have a different philoshoical view against his methods of treatment? if people want his medicine let them have it, africans had cures to certain ailments way long b4 colonists came in.i dont know whats all the reason for so much bile against ths guy. the one u shud be really castigating is moi, for destroying great minds that existed then.

  • Today Siasa I disagree with you. In research, there is something we call an hypothesis. Obel has hypothesized that 'Pearl Omega cures HIV AIDS'. According to him, he has tested the hypothesis and confirmed it true. Now, the onus should be on the opposing institutions and scientific community to prove his hypothesis to the negative. All these years all I have heard and seen is people accusing him of evil apothecary and quack-ism. I challenge his opposition to prove him wrong scientifically!!!

  • @'81: sawa. Look despite his grandiose claims about the effectiveness of his drug, Obel can not come up with credible data from his alleged clinical trials. He flatly refuses the health ministrys demand he hands over samples of his product for regulated clinical trials. Why?

Recall Obel and Dr Koech with a brew called Kemron? They even had ex-President Moi to launch it. It is just wrong to exploit gullible Aids patients.

  • regulating regulating bullshyt.if people r going for it let them have it, ths bs of havin regulation and govt everywea in our lives is just sickening.

  • @mads: such views are a disappointment to the education field

  • @siasabora arthur obel is a well recognized phd. so i dont get ur argument abt being a disappointment in education field.

  • @madsc: could be. but he is a greedy professor....it is unethical to take advantage of the sick n dying

  • @madscientistify I am with you on this one... Obel is a smart guy... The reason he is being fought is because he is preventing you know who from enriching themselves. The moment he releases the formula he is done. Big pharma will swoop in like the eagles they are. Watch the video Bayer and HIV (can't remember the whole title). What I can't stand is self-hatin' Africans and sell-outs!!! It is amazing how many of us still refuse to see the bigger picture when it is all in our faces.
