  • The Twilights recorded this classic in London's famous Abbey Road Studios, with legendary producer Norman Smith (Pink Floyd, the Beatles). It was written for them by three members of the Hollies (Graham Nash, Allan Clarke and Tony Hicks). The Hollies recorded the song themselves not long afterwards.

  • My dad Form Thailand is one of the friends of the twilight :)

  • Met them many times at the gigs in Melbourne 1965 - 1966...great guys !!

  • I hapilly have this on vinyl, along with Cathy Come Home, and im 15!

  • This is the song I used to live my life by. I was 16 when I first heard it.

  • like the Hollies?- only better

  • As I understand it .. this song FIRST BELONGED TO / was penned by The Hollies. I own both of these bands' versions on vinyl .. & I believe they're within the width of a bee's dick of being EQUALLY Hi-Grade, First-Class World-Class studio-productions in their own ways. The Twilights out here in Australia, & / or their parents, were typical " 10 Pound Pom" Migrants from the Old Dart, anyway. So the talent pool had very similar roots. The Twilights were REALLY one of Oz's very-top 60s acts

  • @colindominy Piss off

  • @kataglenn : you pathetic little piece of shit. Pity about your gross ignorance ... as Bazza Mackenzie used to say "go & dip your left eye in hot cocky shit & stick yer head up a dead bear's bum .. "

  • This does sound amazingly like the Hollies. But there are a lot worse bands to sound like. And it's a pretty good song, so who cares?

  • Only one problem with this clip. Where's the banjo player. Can hear the bass and possibly an acoustic guitar but no electric guitar

  • @Studmasterify Bands on TV in those days never played live.

  • Good song but I prefer The Hollies original

  • Great beat bring,s back memoriers thank,s for posting.Mate

  • Well it is song written by Nash/Clarke/Hicks of the Hollies
