  • how much the guitar cost you and where have you buy it pls?

  • That is sik

  • @joshua64406 yes.

  • What's the f*cking prize?

  • the crunch. this is madness!

  • thats reverb turned all the way up for that mysterious sound

  • @jhnnookie65

That's a Marshall Major turned all the way up for that brutal sound

  • For a guitar post, I would MUCH rather have great audio than great video. So, no complaints here!

  • A pretty fancy guitar but a cheapo camera

  • EPICNESS x2

  • wow I really like the sound of that. The twelve-string in the beginning is awesome, and then de six-string, you really can hear that there is a lot of body on this guitar....beautiful 5/5

  • why are you not a partner with youtube???

  • They should make a double neck, one being a bass, one a lead guitar :D

  • @swordaen they do

  • @dustindrums96 They do?!?!??! Omg, I want one! :D

  • what distortion pedal are u using

  • @kanedeadman1 I'm not using a distortion pedal.

  • @riffguy WOW THAT SOUNDS AMAZING

  • @riffguy

This is the pure sound of MARSHALL :D

  • on the solo neck, what was your bridge pickup

  • godlike skills? i think not. i could play that shit using only my scrotum. fact!

  • @edthemonkey666 go on then, oh mighty guitar god, upload some videos of you playing... show us that you're as awesome as you think you are.

what this guy plays may not be the hardest things to play but the important thing is he does it very well. i'd rather see simple things done well than difficult things done badly...

  • @Blompcube - my fishing rod bends. douche

  • @edthemonkey666 you're calling me a douche? first of all, i'm not the one saying "i could play that shit using only my scrotum", i'm just pointing out that if you're gonna say things like that you ought to prove it, and secondly, is that the best response you could think of? that was pitiful.. more pitiful than your original claim.

  • is this the gibson or the epiphone one?

  • amazing guitar!!!

  • that's the best description for any video EVER.. "Trouble x2" you were NOT joking were you?

  • you know how to play a sg, sir.

  • That was super...Do you ride a steel horse too?...Great stuff dude & ya I agree with dude who says u should invest in a better camera.

  • such a beautiful sound the 12 string

  • omg? thats fucking ugly? those guitars suck massive cock, i hate them! matter of oppinion

  • I really considered getting this guitar. But I had a problem that the neck connected at the 15th fret and I need room for solo-ing. But besides that is it really worth having?

  • @riffguy Why do you waste you're Time making youtube videos? you should be famous!

  • Tasty chops major dude. I met two brothers from Utah that played one of those together. They each picked and fingered a different neck. They also would do the same thing on bass and guitar and swap out while playing.

  • So, Riffguy, what does one of these monsters cost?

  • beautiful tone..

  • is an epiphone or a gibson??

  • Pretty clean sounding sweeps. Since this is a four year old video, I hope you've gotten four years better since ;)

  • wtf is that amp you're using? :O

    it's porn to my ears!

  • You have crazy fingers.

    epicness.

  • Hey man, me again with another question. Sorry, I know I ask a lot haha. I might get one of these guitars though. You make it sound good, just wondering if it sounds that good out of the box, or at least close. Definitely gonna replace the 6 string's bridge pickup with my Gibson SG's original bridge pickup. Just need some reassurance.

  • @hvrock13 It sounded pretty good stock, but I made some changes to the pickups here. It weighs over 13 pounds, so that mass will give you a lot of sustain and warmth.

  • @riffguy Thanks for the info. I'd heard the body was made of mahogany plywood or something like that, just didn't know if that would mean less sustain. I'll take your word for it though. Thanks again

  • @hvrock13 Yeah, it is plywood...but obviously strong enough to hold the tension of 18 strings. It's a good sounding guitar but in my opinion has one issue....the nuts are made of plastic, so the strings get caught in them, which causes some tuning problems. Aside from that, it's not a bad guitar for the money.

  • @riffguy Oh I had no worry about the tension, I just hope the plywood itself doesnt dramatically affect the sound in a negative way. It sounds pretty good in this video, so I don't think I'd have anything to worry about. Just not sure if the sustain is very good, what with the plywood. About the nut, I'm sure I could replace that fairly easily, right? Thanks again, your help means a lot.

  • @hvrock13 It still sounds good. You might need someone to replace the nut for you, unless you own the proper files to cut the slots. Graph-tech has some slippery nut materials that would work well to keep it in tune.

In the meantime, you could use a bit of graphite or oil in the slots of the stock nut to help it stay in tune.

  • @riffguy Alright man, sounds good. I know a guy that repairs and mods guitars cheap, so I'll get on that. At least I'm getting it for $700 rather than $1200, based on the plywood and plastic nuts, its a good deal I think.

  • @riffguy An easy way to fix the problem with the nut is just some oil that you can get at guitar center. Or you could just buy two new nuts.lol

  • @Yourmomathon I've never had any lasting results oiling a plastic nut. I think the best option would be making a couple nuts out of bone or a synthetic polymer material.

  • @riffguy Is this a gibson or an Epiphone

  • @Yourmomathon the epi's g-1275 have 2 pick-up selector switches the eds-1275 only has 1

  • @Yourmomathon knowing this guy..its a gibson

  • Holy Shit "riffguy"...you've done it again... great riffs, and as always..sick, sick tone! Sounds awesome, thanks for posting this!!

  • I think he sneaks into guitar stores late at night, plugs in and plays all their different wicked axes while using the stores survellience system to record the videos. hehehe

  • bow down

  • What song are you playing

  • ur gay ur riff suks

  • beyond epic

  • one of these passed through the local guitar center here about 6 months ago... for about 500 bucks used... WHY O WHY DIDN'T I SELL MY CAR TO BUT IT!?? UGH! i had no idea what an opportunity it really was... :-(

  • if u can buy a super sg then wouldnt it hurt to buy a new camera??

  • @narutoguy56 Get your priorities right. What detail do you need?

  • @narutoguy56 This was 2006 you fucking person.

  • @nounever This comment was posted 1 year ago. And i just found out about him at the time. So relax =.=.

  • @narutoguy56 Even if the video is terrible, the audio recording is not bad at all.

  • @linkinparkpowaa The audio is in great quality. But it would also be nice if the video was in good quality aswell. I mean imagine the if a video with great audio was 1fps and all grainy. Wouldnt be really fun to watch =/.

  • @narutoguy56 Yes, I agree with you, but that's still good. I personnally have nothing but my webcam, and video and audio are terrible as hell ...

  • intro is epic

  • man, you got some skills....hows about buying a better camera.....

  • OH .... MY ..... GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • fckin amazing !!!!!

  • NICE TONE MAN

    YOU ARE AWESOME

  • Are you Jimmy Page?

  • no riffguy is better

  • Sounds so fucking 80's, good stuff man.

  • yeah, it's something like if you bring the volume up from 0 until you can first hear a bit of amplification, it will stay like a clean sound, then ofcourse can turn heavy when you want it.

  • My god... 66.666 viewer? Devils Guitar.

  • how can the visual quality be so low but the audio so good im confuzed?

  • Bad cam, good microphone.

  • @NewSchoolGuitar since christmas is coming up what kind did u use cuz my digital camera sucks but it has an aux jack for a mic what did u use for this or what do u recommend mic wise cuz i got 2 marshall 1973 cabs and a jcm 900 head myself so ill need something thtll take a hit if you kno what i mean.

  • nice tone

  • an epiphone made my gibson you tit

  • That's an Epiphone not a Gibson...

  • What type of amp are you using that sounds mean!?

  • prolly his marshall stacks. the JCM900's. Sounds like 900's anyway I think.

  • these are goddamn awesome

  • i problem with these.. 20 frets

  • Comment removed

  • how do u expect ppl to play on 2?

only one neck can be turned on at a time

and besides one neck is 12 string, and the other is a 6 string

  • Comment removed

  • he definitely used both of the necks... one with a clean channel and one with some gain on it.

  • Comment removed

  • @kareljuwet if you mean both at a time then the guitariat should have 2 pairs of arms, anyways the use is int the possibility of switch from 12 to 6 strings in a fairly short time

  • not to one up you or anything, and i'm not trying to say i'm better then you, but he never actually used a clean channel. There's a little trick where if you turn the volume knob way down you get a completely clean tone, and if you watch really close he goes down to the volume knob right before the heavy part.

  • ah, i am actually not familiar with how double necks work, i figured he just had one neck's volume turned off so there wasn't feedback while he was playing the clean part, but this technique(volume turned so low that it gives a clean sound) is the most logical. thanks for pointing it out.

  • of course there is! There may be no time to switch guitars on stage buddy.

  • Almost bought one of those. Just bought a gibson sg. One neck.

  • riffguy, whats the song from 0:00 - 0:30????

  • Thats Rock n Roll !!!! 5/5

  • thats epiphones guitar

  • yea i saw one at a music store

  • thats right the epiphone has diffrent pickups per neck unlike the gibson double this guitars actually only a little over 1grand and i think its on the list of guitars i want

  • That thing is sooo fucking sweet, I should buy one next summer, haha work my ass off like 12 hours a day or something :)

  • how much u pay for tht

  • its like 3299 at guitar center or musicians friend for gibson and for epiphone from 899 to 1199.

  • try $3999 for the gibson. the gibson EDS-1275 is a handbuilt custom shop model remember, they're not production guitars anymore

  • I don't think they ever were? Anyway, just remember, Pete Townshend was using an gibson double neck before Led Zep were a twinkle in Page's eye...

...well, maybe not then, but definately befor Page used one anway haha

  • And Elvis used it before Pete, Jimi and Don Felder (The Eagles). There is an old picture of Elvis holding a doubleneck (red) Gibson. Allegedly it was the first EDS model ever built from Gibson (Nashville plant) Mostly for looks as I doubt he actually played it. Page has stated before that's what influenced him to try it.

  • heyy, whats the song called?

  • Whats a Cluster Fuck! Ask the man

  • the Gibson EDS-1275's don't have that 3rd selector switch that comes in between both necks.

either way, awesome playing like always riff guy

  • guesing its a epiphone s-1275 custom double neck whered u buy it from ?? and how much was it send me a message if u could

  • I played that.

  • they do i saw one in guitar shop today =D

  • well they made that one

  • yea they have a red and a white one

  • what was the song you played at the beginning

  • is that guitar an epiphone?

  • thats a maestro

  • nope

  • judging by the looks of it, and the fact that this is riffguy, its probably a gibson.

  • Nope, it's an Epi.

  • im like a beginer :DD But ive learnt Things :DD

  • Nice playing

  • its not super sg...its called jimmy page boyyy!!!!

    great playing!

  • and tell what isnt super about jimmy page?

  • One question...how long did you have to play guitar before learning to solo like that? Ive been playing for about 2 years now and play every bit I can but I cant play solos? how long do you think it will take me....I no I ant rush it but it would be nice to no that Im not supposed to be able to play them yet lol

  • i know u weren't asking me..but i was in the same rut at about the same time as u....and all i gotta say is learn some scales...practice ur speed..but don't forget to put some soul into the stuff u play! but it will only take a few days to get the scales down perfect..then u gotta bring the speed and that doesnt really take too long =)

  • weird, ive playing for about a year and i could solo like that. I just practiced alot opentatonic scales

  • great shredwork. tone is awesome. how did messing with the windings improve tone, what did the guitar sound out of the box? what amp are your running this through, a Marshall? thx

  • i wanna buy this guitar. its very cheap comparing with the other gibson double necked.1899$ instead of close 6000$.

  • You know what I'd like to see?

    A double-neck Les Paul!

  • lol that'd be heavy as hell

  • i was thinking the same thing

  • @allamericandude15 yeah ive searched all around the internet and was unable to find one, expcept this one blog, but it was a bad picture. so i just made one in photoshop

  • I had one like this exept it was black it's awesome to play em :)

  • I'm jealous now. Thats one I don't have !!!!!

  • is it self composed ?

    5*

  • It was improvised as I made the video.

  • wrong! you didn't improvise you felt the sound as it pass

  • that is a SWEET guitar!!!! im so jealous!!!

  • WOW!!! CHE CAZZO DI SUONO!!! GRANDE

  • Are those the normal P/U's? and if they are, are the epiphones thast good?

  • I have a feeling that you Mr. Riffguy seem to suceed at most things you really put your mind to.

  • Damn, Riffguy

I had a chance to get a '72 SG Doubleneck back in '96. Mint condition, only 2500 bucks. Now I just kick myself for letting it go

But I'm still happy with my '94 Lucille which I ended up getting.

  • i would never sell one a those if i got it lol

  • but u have to admit Lucilles are awsome

  • Comment removed

  • oh.. not so good...

with gain a normal e chord...

(i think my comment will be closed...)

  • Wow! Extremely soft then hard and heavy.

  • Comment removed

  • did you mean in a good way

  • Goddamn dude.. u should be on a tournee around the world...

  • Holy shit!!!! Your a bad motherfucker!! Nice job

  • Excellent playing - as usual.

I don't get it why one rates less than 5/5

  • ....that was addressed to drowzy721

  • NICE!!!!!! EXCELLENT CHOPS!!!

  • the power cord part sounds a little like an ac/dc riff without the speed fills

  • great vid, shame you didnt play on the 12th

  • he played on the 12 string at the start......

  • sweet enchalatta you've got major speed!!

  • I have a gibson SG special which has no pickup covers as standard, if i installed pickup covers would it affect the sound at all?

    Thanks, Andy

  • I have an SG special also and the pickup covers made it very slightly warmer and smoother, also made it look 1000 times better:)

  • i cant find anywhere to get pickup covers, where did you get yours?

  • You should probably consult a professional about that one, but I would imagine that it wouldn't affect the sound.

  • My guess would be to buy pickups with covers off of ebay and sell your uncovered.

When you install covers your tone will loose a bit of the high end. But you'll have to wax pot the pickups to avoid microphonic feedback (squeeling noise when the amp is cranked and you stand in front of it). Wax potting isn't that simple as it looks. You can easily ruin the pickup. Do a google search before you start.

  • holy fuckin speed!!

  • Quick fingers dude!! Sounds to cool for school!!
