Thanks to Vista, we still suffer today with people using 10 year old XP. I reformated my old laptop with XP. Vista crawled. My parents even bought a Dell which had XP preinstalled a year after Vista came out because they heard so many horrible things on it.
My laptop now runs just as fine with Windows 7. It is what Vista should have been and you could tell MS rushed to get it out as many corporations stopped upgrading software. ... 10 years later XP is still the #1 OS at work. Sigh ... thanks Vista. Windows 7 will hopefully take over next year.
Windows Vista really wasn't all that bad, and it certainly isn't now. That doesn't mean it's anywhere near as good as Windows 7 though.
I really don't get what that guy was saying about Vista looking like OSX though. Steve Jobs made fun of the way Vista looked, and not because it looked almost the same. If anything it looks like a shiny Windows XP.
I used Windows since 3.1..... I have not known anyone that has not had numerous problems with it.. Blue screens, crashes, freezing, and just being overall slow! I have had 3 Macs since, and I started with OS X 10.4, I cloned my hard drive onto a bigger drive on my second mac, and upgraded to 10.5, I then cloned my 10.5 drive onto my 3rd mac and upgraded to 10.6, now the same cloned drive has 10.7!! It is blazing fast! The point is, I am still using the same software from 2008 no problems!!

@Hildron101010 Yes, but those games you play have a special Mac compatible version of the game that modifies the original direct X engine that's implemented in the game. Not all direct X games have a mac compatibility option.
@Hildron101010 a mac can not run Direct X, its only for PC gaming, macs run OpenGL. Also, the developer of the game modified it for you. So when you ran the game, it seemed normal and fine and it worked first off. but you are still running a modified mac compatible program, replacing Direct X with OpenGL software
However, i am referring to, of course, a standard Mac, without any programs such as Bootcamp, because that is pretty much turning your mac into a PC (with windows).

Most people are the same too. Mouses and keyboards are just too fiddly to be fun usually, and consoles are infinitely cheaper.

Buy a PS3 instead of an Xbox 360.
You will save a bunch of money.
I had the PS3 for around 2-1\2 nearing 3 years.
I had an Xbox for 2 years.
Then I got another one. It started acting up, not reading discs and degenerating at the same rate as the other one.
I knew what would happen, it was just going to stop working one day just as the other one did.
I got a PS3, almost 3 years ago.
Not a single issue.
Also online is free and it's controllers have built in batteries.
That are reliable.

@SixFootTallMidget Your just promoting propaganda. My friend loves PS3, and personally I don't. My Xbox worked fine from early 07 to late 2010 when I replaced it with the new model. His PS3 didn't last near as long before it died. All technology dies at some point, and it isn't predictable by any numbers or percentages.

Windows is crap, Windows 7 is Vista with a new name.
Vista was the beta to Windows 7, Microsoft screwed a whole generation of computers.The Xbox 360 is another example of their lack of effort towards delivering a good product.I say they did it on purpose so as to screw people who just put up with their shit.I did for two xboxes.
I had an Xbox 360, it broke, so I got another one. It started breaking.
I said fuck it, got a PS3.
Saved me a lot of money and frustration.
Not a SINGLE problem with it.

Vista is crap, I got Ubuntu and it does what I need it to do and more.
Vista couldn't do something, well I got Ubuntu cause I had a theory.
A very well developed one that stated Vista sucks and it hogs resources.
So I got Ubuntu, it's free, I installed it on a partition.
It did the job and more.
Go on my channel and watch a video I posted called "House Fire made with Blender 3D" watch that and read the description.
Vista is dead.
Don't get me started on the Xbox 360.
Two of them later,... PS3.

You could always view photos and edit movies on PC! Its not a copy from mac. And what microsoft did was found what apple had and what they dident and added it in to windows... Its not copying guys. Actually, mac isn't really overpriced anymore... For example... Mac mini, that is better than low-end PC but still low-end computer. Mac mini is their consumer based mac, and others expensive things are just for...professionals in design industries.

@bleesev2 Yes it can, I've run plenty of games on my Mac that use Direct X. However, I prefer OpenGL way over DX.

@Hildron101010 Yes, but those games you play have a special Mac compatible version of the game that modifies the original direct X engine that's implemented in the game. Not all direct X games have a mac compatibility option.

@Hildron101010 a mac can not run Direct X, its only for PC gaming, macs run OpenGL. Also, the developer of the game modified it for you. So when you ran the game, it seemed normal and fine and it worked first off. but you are still running a modified mac compatible program, replacing Direct X with OpenGL software

And whilst that maybe true that Pcs get more viruses than Macs, I would rather have the freedom that comes with the PC than have a Mac where im restricted in what i can do with it. Don't like Vista, but I greatly prefer Windows XP or 7 over Mac. Hell, their 'new' Macbooks just came out with a Core 2 Duo. You can go to many laptop vendors nowadays and get generations faster CPU's & computing power for less money! I do like iTunes and the iPods, but in the end, the apple CEO is still a dick.

mac > windows. always has. I had problems with windows 98. Had problems with XP, had A LOT of problems with vista. Type in "Why does vista" into google and see all the suggestions people have written. "..boot so slow" "..crash so much" "..use so much ram" "..freeze so much" "..run so slow"
I've never had a problem with a mac. They run fast as fuck. Never had a virus on OS X.
