  • lmao @ Hal Ketchup!

  • is'nt keith whitley when you say nothing at all from the late 80's

  • why is Brokenheartsville on this list when it was released in 2002?

  • Today's country... shouldn't be classified as country its crap

  • @foreverloved7 Like Taylor Swift for an example?

  • @dancingmelcher exactly! she sucks..

  • Brokenheartsville was released in 2002! Great list, but it needs corrections made.

  • #34 the artist's name is Hal Ketchum not Ketchup FYI.

  • am an arab and i really love country music

  • @alharthy50 country is universal! anybody that ever hurt or felt anything can relate! country living is the same! there are more country people in Arab places that deal with livestock and live in a country lifestyle than here in the USA! we are all country on some level! these songs speak to everybody that ever had a heart!

  • Just fell in love with country music.

  • big record companys forced the artists to keep recordin over the years . guys like jones. hag. waylon. cash. ect . they lived a life time in the game . so when there time was up . we got then what they call contemporary country or new country . it was new all rite .only a few will shine . like travis tritt. randy travis. alan jackson. today the recordin labels can put as mutch pressure as they want on the new acts . i just wont buy it . so am goin to play or sing good old country music lol

  • beautiful memories

  • Number 49 Keith Whitley "When you say nothing at all" came out in the eighties. He couldn't have done this song in the 90's because he died in '89.

  • @jeep4063 as with mountain music 82

  • about 4 or 5 of those songs tops I would consider top 50 and forever/amen song is so 80s by randy travis

  • man i miss the good ol days grew um on these er songs

  • It's seems like the 90's were about the last few years to enjoy country music, because I dont know what the hell happened to it in the 2000's

  • @nrhein09 They cut their mullets and mustaches, and ain't been right since. In that glorious trainwreck of hair resided their magical singing powers.

  • not complainin, but how is keith whitley 90's when he died in 89

  • @yourallbrainwashed i agree with the whole old country is better thing, but singers dont need to have accents to be good or real, ex Hank Snow

  • such a tease!

  • country has become too hollywood and way too commercial! and i sounds like shit!

travis tritt, randy travis, loretta lynn,ect... the 80s and earlier was real country!

  • 80s country was way better .

the the 90s ruined country , most country singers today arnt even from the country and dont have a true accent! i cant stand wannabe country singers . fuck new country!!!

  • @yourallbrainwashed I think 80s and 90s country is good, its 2000s that fucked it up

  • hell yeah!

  • i could be wrong, but i think brokenheartsville is a lil after the 90's

  • "Smoky Mountain Rain" is from 1981. But it's all good. :)

  • thats awesome. i was born in 1985, so i was raised on 90's country, alot of great songs on this list!

  • I'm a kid of the 90's and I'm glad to have been in that time! I was raised on this music and I hope it never dies. Who's with me?

  • @misshorselover13 same here, my mom always listened to it in her car so i knew almost all the words to the songs, funny thing i don't really listen to country but looking back and hearing all these songs just brings back memories

  • @steveomlb13

the music of the 90s isnt really country, country music had lost it soul when , johnny cash, merle haggard (almost) , marty robbins, hank snow, hank williams died.

  • Thank god my parents raised me on 90s country!

  • @amandaNO457 agreed!

  • DALE EARNHARDT!!!! 3

  • I agree with Kelsie ^

  • The funny thing is, the old timers back in this day probably said all the same stuff about THIS music being 'pop music'. So that makes me wonder..how much more is country music gonna change in the next fifty years, and how much more pop will it get? AH!

  • @Janetta92993 Seeing as pop is a new genre, I doubt they said that this was pop...

  • @GetMoneyFuggBidges Pop has been a genre since ATLEAST the 80s....

  • @jones76592 Pop hasn't ALWAYS been shit.

  • Country music in it's prime.

  • @Janetta92993 i completely agree. love it!

  • wow love this! has alot of my fav music!! its great!!! ;)

  • That was a waste of time

  • G. Brooks was and has always been my favorite singer but he sounds so much better live

  • Man, this is the greatest generation of country music. Kudos to you and your amazing taste in music. This is definitely going in my favorites.

  • I'm a fan of everything old-school from rock to soul to funk to jazz...but even since discovering all that, 90's country is STILL fantastic.

Also, I think it's funny how people in the comments are up in arms about the uploader's defensive comment...but nobody seems to care about mr. "FUCK THE WHITE RACE!" back there.

If that guy's hatemongering skills were on par with Garth brooks' entertaining skills, we'd probably all be angry mexicans.

  • @1thumpasaurus Well put!

  • 14 people got lost in the Smokey Mountains...

  • This is what I grew up on when I was little. I loved Country and then I discovered Pop when I was a teenager. But then some friends got me to like it all over again.

This music, I tried to dump it from my life but I can't help it, Country has a way to steal our hearts. Love these songs!

  • PS, Brokenheartsville is from 2002, not the '90s

  • Thumbs up if your all country!!!

  • LOVE 8!!!!!!!!!!

  • Tim McGraw looked like a homegrown hillybilly with one tooth.

  • Im glad you put this up, its been forever since I heard these. Thanks >.<

  • Thanks for posting this I haven't heard some of these songs since I was little.

  • brokenheartsville could have easily been a 90's song....thats what made it so great

  • COME ON STOP FIGHTING IF ITS 50'S 60'S 70'S 80'S 90'S!!!!! Its "COUNTRY MUSIC" and if you like country music it shouldn't matter what year is it!!!!! <3

  • @SugarPlumBud burnsWIP21 was just informing you and said that he wasn't trying to hate, and you still come at him. Saying greatest 90's songs and including an extra 20 years worth of music is like me back when I was 18 going to the club and saying well, I'm pretty much 21, so let me in! They're gonna look at me like I'm a moron! And everyone that is jumping on burnsWIP21 already admit that the 90's has the best music, so you can't really go back and say it's all the same! 90's rocks. PERIOD!

  • Garth Brooks = Greatest ever

  • oh dang...i totally forgot who sang this song about forgetting about their ex...or something like that..reminds me of jennifer nettles but not really..something about being strong or being your own person..anyone know? grrrr, totally forgot!!

  • No George?

  • Good vid! Lotta good songs that bring back good memories :D Wish I knew the name to some of them though :l

  • Very awesome job!!! :D i LOVE that you put garth brooks in here♥♥ very good choice:)

  • I was born in 1992. You have no idea how much it saddens me that I was too young to appreciate how great this decade was for country music.

  • @Gripz2010 You can still appreciate it:)

  • Hey good video bro keep it up

  • Great list! I have to say Im surprised theirs no George Strait though!

  • Great list! I have to say Im surprised theirs no George Strait though!

  • Keith Whitley=the best!

  • woah gear down, enjoy the music, golden music, no matter what decade.

  • If you entitle a post "90s", then make it from the 1990s. The word 'generalization' does nothing for your argument. Seriously. Swearing at someone trying to be helpful makes you appear to be tremendously thin-skinned and immature.

  • fishin in the dark at 40? :(

  • lol i have a killer stereo and i play country music all the way through major cities as loud as i can because so many people hate it, i dont know why but it is funny to see people get all angry over it

  • Moutain Music, Smokey Moutain Rain! :O True country listener! :D

  • Moutain Music! :D Agreed!

  • Great collection here but Keith Whitley sings "I Let Her Lie" not Darryl Singletary.

  • @jaydynvs Jay, SugarPlum is right. Darryl sings I Let Her Lie. I bought that album.

  • @Badaddit2ude yes I found that out shortly after posting that...LOVE that song regaurdless who sings it :)

  • @Badaddit2ude yes I found that out shortly after posting that...LOVE that song regaurdless who sings it :)

  • Boy some of you are kind of anal. Some of the later 70s songs are considered the 80s. If I remember right, Garth's "The Dance" was in 87 or 88, but I would consider Garth a 90's artist. Some people are so funny. I just have to say that YouTube is wonderful in that you can listen to anything whenever you want. Thanks to all who download. SugarPlumBud, I agree with you, but we could go without the language.
