The only thing that was simpler about the times was the degree of technology. The same stuff that goes on today with humans went on yesterday and 100 years ago.
@Californiagringo he's your hero....hm, go watch the documentary made about him by the ppl that worked for him..its on youtube called 'the secret life of walt Disney'...
@TheNeonAngel - That stuff shouldn't be taken seriously- those were made by mad workers. Walt was ignorant to other cultures. He was not anti-semitic. He was anti-communist- which made people mad at him. In fact he got the man of a year award from a Jewish group in L.A. Walt hired Jewish workers and worked with Jewish Movie producers like Louie B. Mayer.
Wow! This really is the begining of the construction.
That large building from 0:01 to 0:34 is the first building completed at Disneyland. It housed the Disneyland Mill where the workers cut the wood and assembled the components to all the other Disneyland attractions of that time.
Now it's the Main Street Opera House and it houses Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. It also has the distinction of being the oldest building in Disneyland.
interesting seeing all the scrapers, dozers, and blades with no cabs on them. almost primitive. when people worked and enjoyed themselves with a much better sense of pride.as another viewer stated much simpler times. and much better in my opinion.

I thought it was cool how there alligators swam in the water, if they ever did they don't now.
That would a great effect on the Jungle Cruise, having Alligators swimming next to the boat or swim across the boat!
