I wasn't talking about the popular vote. I was talking about the only vote that matters when it comes to electing the president, apparently, the electoral votes. Only Maine and Nebraska split the electoral college vote. So whoever wins the majority wins all of the state's electoral votes with the exception of those two states. Besides, Pres Obama received 43.6% of the total Texas vote, not 50%. check the results on wikipedia. they have the total popular vote for every candidate in each state.
