Holy bat tits this song rocks! Layne was the man, but I dont mind this version. I grew up in the 80s-90s Layne cant be replaced, but you cant always expect a band to be the same. Of course its not as good as their original stuff, but it certainly doesnt suck ass either.
I love the dark parts of this song, but the chorus isnt that great imo. the songs that Layne and Jerry wrote together were always the best. You could also see this in their self-titled album that songs like "Grind" and "Heaven beside you" and "Over Now". Their good songs but its too much Jerry. I love Cantrell but he needs Layne. Them working together were like John and Paul. Or even better. It was completely unique.
Jerrys songs can get a little mainstream. But hes still a genious obviously.

WOW. I totally approve! Lane Staley is one of my favorite vocalists and I was EXTREMELY skeptical on listening to how they are with Jerry. Good to know he was a founding member and did backing vocals! Jerry sounds just as haunting and ethereal as Lane! :D

AIC is my favorite band and Layne is the best rock singer of all time imo. That said, the sound of AIC is Jerry Cantrell. Layne sang some awesome tunes over that sound. Without Jerry, Layne would have had no heavy darkness to sing over - Layne often created the melodies and words after Jerry created the basic song. Wish Layne was here, but happy to see AIC still in action.
Layne was brilliant, yes - but you gotta know he would be there right with em still man, and he'd want em to keep makin awesome music. And let's face it, Duvall can fuckin well sing bro!

I have seen AIC with Duvall singing twice now, he's not Layne Staley but I have to say I was very happy with his performance of their older songs; if you ever get the chance to see them do it, they are BACK!! When they started playing Rain When I Die at DC Chili Cookoff and it started raining about 30 seconds into the song...I felt almost like you could see Layne standing by Jerry.

I don't like that Comes With The Fall seem to be no more because their singer got poached by old man Cantrell, but I think this album and this song are really quite good.

All Jerry needed was someone who had vocals like Layne so that they could harmonize in that same way weird way as it did in the past. This is very similar to the old way, besides, Layne's lyrics were all about heroin. At least these new songs lyrics are about different shit.
this songs, acid bubble and last of my kind are the best on the album - in the style of old Alice in Chains ;d Duvall is good too, i like him, but he never been like Staley.
I had my doubts about the 'new' AIC, but I'm loving this new stuff. Layne was a powerful front man, but now I realise that Jerry is the heart and soul of the band. He formed the band, co-wrote a lot of songs with Layne on albums past, and as long as Cantrell remains, that unique sound will remain, and AIC will always be.....AIC
When you're listening to a song on the radio, or cd mp3 in your head whatever, does it really matter who the singer really is it's the message and emotional impact and the reborn AIC still has all the right grooves I lived through some of my darkest days on RIP Layne, rock on Cantrell & Co. I always was and will always be a diehard Fan!!!

I've liked AIC since i was in 8th/9th grade and im in 11th now, i started by guitar hero & also thatthey r grunge and i started to like Nirvana in 8th i guess AIC is a given, but im not a gh loser that only knows that one song or their big hits,, I also love Hate to feel it aint like that, but new AIC is great they have not changed only this is will and even if Layne was alive the songs would be diff only a little cause jerry writes 97%

AIC is my favorite band and Layne is the best rock singer of all time imo. That said, the sound of AIC is Jerry Cantrell. Layne sang some awesome tunes over that sound. Without Jerry, Layne would have had no heavy darkness to sing over - Layne often created the melodies and words after Jerry created the basic song. Wish Layne was here, but happy to see AIC still in action.

I have seen AIC with Duvall singing twice now, he's not Layne Staley but I have to say I was very happy with his performance of their older songs; if you ever get the chance to see them do it, they are BACK!! When they started playing Rain When I Die at DC Chili Cookoff and it started raining about 30 seconds into the song...I felt almost like you could see Layne standing by Jerry.

All Jerry needed was someone who had vocals like Layne so that they could harmonize in that same way weird way as it did in the past. This is very similar to the old way, besides, Layne's lyrics were all about heroin. At least these new songs lyrics are about different shit.

I had my doubts about the 'new' AIC, but I'm loving this new stuff. Layne was a powerful front man, but now I realise that Jerry is the heart and soul of the band. He formed the band, co-wrote a lot of songs with Layne on albums past, and as long as Cantrell remains, that unique sound will remain, and AIC will always be.....AIC

I've liked AIC since i was in 8th/9th grade and im in 11th now, i started by guitar hero & also thatthey r grunge and i started to like Nirvana in 8th i guess AIC is a given, but im not a gh loser that only knows that one song or their big hits,, I also love Hate to feel it aint like that, but new AIC is great they have not changed only this is will and even if Layne was alive the songs would be diff only a little cause jerry writes 97%
