  • omg, look at her flexibility and extension! she lost so much of it by '96. Watching her in '96 and 2000, i never would have guessed that she once had such great flexibility.

  • @shawntaylorcassidy Disagree. She still had her flexibility in 96' and 2000. Look at her jumps from her floor routines. Look at her Hindorff on bars, the straddle position in beyond 180. Look at her beam. Her switch side, her straddle jumps. Loss of extension and flexibility?

  • wonderful character in her dance. I think her body shape effected how she was scored in compulsories though.... which is a real shame. The detail that went into how she prepared this routine, as well as her amplitude and accurace, were definitely in the highest class.

  • Yeah I agree with you completely. She always had great showmanship, but even her coach said that she wasn't the most graceful and it was hard for her to look elegant because she was bowlegged.

  • does anyone understand that this is COMPULSERIES the routines are not supposed to be difficult for gods sake! this routine was worth OVER 9.9 DEFFINTLEY so wtf are you talkinga bout 9.687 or 9.812. scores back then were higher and this routine DESERVED A HIGH SCORE. so can u all just shut your traps please? thank you! some peace on these comment pages!

  • @luv4cookie1 I disagree, just because its compulsories doesn't mean the moves aren't difficult. Some of the most basic looking moves are the hardest, turns, jumps, etc. are things that people make the most mistakes on. The idea is to put everyone on a level playing field so they can be judged on the same elements and take out the subjectiveness in the judging. And do not tell me to shut my trap, I'm just stating the facts. I'm not being rude to you and would appreciate the same consideration.

  • So cute here, cute smile

  • I would have scored this routine: 9.688.

  • she got a 9.812.. why would you have scored it lower? Don't forget, scoring was a bit different then...

  • You can't, as an individual judge, give a routine a 9.688. You would have to give it a 9.65 or a 9.7. Scores like 9.688 (which it would have been a 9.687 anyway) come from averaging judges combined scores. Duh.

  • Ok Love.

  • why are the compulsaries always a lot easier in terms of difficulty?

  • compulsories are easier basically for three reasons: 1)the judges come up with the routines & for this round everyone must perform them just as instructed 2)b/c everyone from top teams like USSR down to Zimbabwe compete the same exercise, it has 2 be simple enough in skill level 4 all 2 perform and 3)they're designed 2 mostly test a gymnast's style & fundamentals. So typically those with the best technique (like miller) and flair (okino, lyssenko, onodi) score highest in this round.

  • A PERFECT 10!!!

  • she is sooooooooo tiny for 15 but i love to see here perform she was an inspiration to me back in 92, 96 and 00. I would watch the Olympics just to see the gymnast and espically Dominque Dawes.

  • She got more taller and mature looking over the years!

  • scatteam2...you must be deaf blind and mute if you can't see that she is beautiful

  • She's beautiful.
