David cook is so good that he doesn't steal songs, he takes good songs and makes them into GREAT songs. Nothing wrong with that. And name 1 performance on American Idol that wasn't somebody's song... You're supposed to sing other people's songs. They're given 1 week to come up with an arrangement and perform. That's hardly enough time to write a song.

Both David's are great but for completely opposite reasons. DA is the crooner, DC the rocker. DA's got the fan reaction in all age groups like Elvis had. DC has an appeal to fans that usually dont warm to the commercial aspects of IDOL. I have a feeling it would have killed Daughtry to win Idol..all he needed was exposure. Same here I think for Cook. David A is young enough that 5 years from now,out from under IDOL's contract,he could blossom and do what he wants.I dont think it would hurt him
