anyone know where i could find the trancriptions for this one a guitar pro/power tab file? ive looked on UG, but i dont know under what name it is (here on youtube i hear the same song under the name "sonata no. 12")
then you obviously havent heard many musicians, Europeans are by far the most talented and play with alot more expression than anyone else, any musician is usually trained by some sort or european backround, thats where the roots are. Asians memorize things really well, and very accurate but most dont even feel the music they are playing.
I'd just like to say, that isn't true. Talent isn't something you specifically place upon a country. You obviously haven't heard many musicians either. Aside from this performance being dry, you probably don't know any other Asian professional musicians. They're just not in the scope of our knowledge.
You see, I have music to this pretty much the way he plays it. There is no second part. But when I hear Barreuco's solo version of the violin/guitar version he arranged that entire verison for guitar - which inlcudes that fast interlude Sokolata18's speaking about. Perhaps Mr. Kook plays the same version I have? On the other hand, I can't find a catalog of any such solo sonata in e minor for guitar by Paganini that corresponds to this exact piece...
@carbonapples That's incorrect. Paganini wrote several and among them: Grand Sonata for both violin and guitar, Sonatas Op. 1 (violin and guitar), guitar Sonata No. 4 in D major: Minuet - Rondoncino, guitar Sonata No. 30 in A major: Minuet - Allegro, guitar Sonata No. 6 in F major: Minuet - Allegretto, guitar Sonata No. 14 in F major: Minuet - Waltz: Allegretto.
Although this is played well, the version on violin with female vocals in the background is even more astounding. I heard this for the first time several years ago and am still looking for the track. It appears in the "Morae Shigae" or "Sandglass" soundtrack - an equally amazing Korean soap opera. If anyone knows where to download this song, the full name of the song, or the guitar tablature, please post. Do the world a favor. This song is the greatest song of love and loss written.
Yes it is. Player on youtube played with guitar and used as a theme song for main female charactor in very famous korean drama "Mo Re Si GeH" or "Sandglass".
what a lovely and haunting version of paganini

This is Paganini's solo guitar version of the sonata. Not to be confused with the more popular version violin and guitar duet.
brtherjohn 4 years ago
Paganini never wrote a guitar version to the sonata. Oh seung kook arranged it. The Violin sonata is the real one.
