  • For the disc thing, I just take one of my pillows and fold it in half. :) It works really well. I did this one for the first time today ( i did her dumbell and butt one before) and I REALLY pushed myself. I was already sore from my last workout, and i had just gotten back from a run. I wound up being able to do all of it! Thelast rep was REALLY difficult though but I did it. You guys can too! :)

    Now you say you want a toned body, there's a lot that needs to be done in order to be satisfied in that department lol. I find that Ms. Kim has very effective routines and is a great source of honesty for fitness.

  • Start by eating healthy the best way to do that is cut back on white breads sugary foods, and things that are obviously bad for you. Then start adding vegetables and fruits you like into your diet. Eat lean meats and fish. Eggs and oatmeal are also great for you. Go for whole wheat. I'm not sure if you can find the reset of my comment but eh. And try to control your portions as well. Now as for body fitness. Don't just focus on your abs, don't use supplements, and use the internet.

  • What do you mean don't use supplements?? If you're using weight loss supplements then they are bullshit, but for gaining muscle I love WPI with no carbs. Although supplements can help, its your working out, rest and diet that give you the results

  • I'm in a personal fitness class at my school and at the end of the period my teacher does an ab workout with us and we use the balance disc sometimes too... that kills!lol but you have an awesome stomach I hope I can get a great stomach someday.I have free membership to a gym becuase I work in one of the branches so I'll be there in the summer.your videos are inspiring!thanks for sharing!

    I use to go to the gym (fitness)3 to 4 times in the week.. but my legs were getting bigger because of the muscles, and i stopped. I'm trying to find a way to shape my legs, but make the muscles longer, not thicker, i hope Kim has another video about that!

  • You need to burn much of your body fat for those muscles to show, cardio in combination with strength training is the key. Without cardio that body fat will not disapeer..however, the abs are challenging to firm and tone, but NOT impossible. Consistency!!!

  • and also by the time you lose weight and are at a regular weight your abs will already show so you don't have to start working on it then. Your will be less likely to have loose skin too! You can do it! :)

  • Diet is the key to getting your abs to show. You need a low body fat % ... great exercise routine!

  • I don't agree with what iluvbakkua said. why would it be hard to lose fat later just because there's muscle underneath? I've never heard anything like that before. In fact, the higher the muscle mass the faster the metabolism, so it would actually help.

  • This ex is mostly for toning and maintain an already flat stomach. Crunches are never for losing weight or slimming. If u overweight and do dis wif a big belly, it's going to create muscle behind the flab then it will be extremely diff to lose the flab becuz the stomach area will be very hard.

    to lose weight and slim down first you need to sweat it away by running long dist often, thats the best way.

  • I'm a massage therapist and the way she exercises her abs, is prolly the most effective. the side to side w/ the medicine ball is so effective to loose love handles and shrink the waist. im glad she put it up here

  • There was only one good exercise among these (that one with the medicine ball). The rest was too much crunch-like. Nowadays it's known how bad crunches are, u should do only a few of them, there are really better abs exercises. This workout is crap

  • To lose weight you need to create a caloric deficiency (burn more calories than you consume). This is done by both building muscle and doing cardio. Building muscle boosts your metabolism so you burn more calories at rest. Cardio burns a lot of calories while you are doing it.

  • Working out "abs" will NOT give you a 6 pack. You need to burn adipose fat tissue that is on TOP of your muscle, and under your skin. You do this by doing CARDIOVASCULAR activity. Also, nutrition is vitally important. Someone like her probably only eats 1600 calories a day.

  • Actually, it will give you a 6 pack. You just won't see it.

  • The key to having great abs is the development of muscle and the loss of fat. Losing fat is done by creating a caloric deficiency.

    It is true that Cardio burns fat, but building muscle also helps create a caloric deficiency by boosting your metabolism. This means that you burn more calories at rest. So to really lose weight you should both build muscle and do cardio.
