no i totally know what you mean. check out born ruffians, theyre compared with vampire weekend a lot. personally i dont see it but either way theyre an amazing band, a lot more down to earth than vampire weekend, more simple in a lot of ways

Kind of agree - don't have the VW album but I didn't know yeasayer before seeing them on Vincent Moons videos. I thought the videos were some of the best performances I'd ever seen and immediately went out and got the record which - to my ears didn't capture anything like the same amount of fun the video had. That's not to say it was bad - just.. different.
