U can use batting, just baste it to the stocking instead of the interfacing. I make all my stockings with batting, It makes it soooooo much better. I use bias tape for the loop and the top trimming of the stocking, I like this pattern having the cuff sewn in the stocking.

  • I love the idea of the cuff being sewn in with the stocking.

I am writing down the instructions as you speak

I notice you did not say:

How much shorter is the outer fabric than the lining? 2"? 3"? 4"?

What is the measurements of the loop? Width? Length?

  • Why do you use interface? I don't have any...should I go get some?

  • Thanks so much! This was easy and really helpful.

  • Sewing is way easier.

  • Why not just use a dirty old sock like i did

    worked out just fine!

  • too complicated!!!1

  • ok to make the stocking I would have to fold my material to get the left and right pieces of the stocking right. and do the same witha ll other pieces of fabric and interfacing. Right. I quilt and do not normally use interfacing at all in my projects. I am a beginner making stocking and not used to the process. So please answer me back Thanks i have some projects to do so that I can sell them to get money for Christmas for my family.

    Thanks,

    Vera

  • I love it! it helped me did my project!
