Beautifully expressive playing of attractive music. Playing her much-neglected instrument, Jennifer Paull produces a gorgeously mellifluous tone - less shrill than the oboe, less mournful than the cor anglais.

Fabulous playing by both artists. The music is by Edwin Carr, one of NZ's most important composers. The Jennifer Paull is the most important oboe d'amore player of the 20th century and this CD and others are available. I heartily recommend this CD and also the others in the collection. It opens a whole new world of sound for an instrument that been very largely forgotten outside the 18th Century, and very unfairly so - Enjoy
